Thunderbird repeatedly ask for my email server password. Also it fails to download my incoming mail and "times out"

Uninstalling and re-installing won't change your profile, so your address book will stay intact. The bad side is that the problem with the timeout will probably also stay intact :-(

I have an Ipod with alot of music on it that i have had for a while. The PC i used to sync it to crashed and i lost my itunes library. I now have a new PC and have already started loading new music onto it. I now realize that the music that is on my Ipod is not on the PC yet. When i pluged it in Itues said it would erase the ipod and replace it with what is now on the PC and of course i said no. Are you sure? I restored my new iPod from the backup of my iPad and all app data was restored to the new iPod.. App data is part of the backup.

Sorry, Swanarva, It didn't work as it was supposed to. I downloaded, saved file, clicked the download to open, clicked 'run' then got an error message that it couldn't find the file(!) . No idea what happened or why. Should I have uninstalled Firefox first, then downloaded Firefox 8 using another browser or downloaded, uninstalled Firefox 09 beta then tried installing Firefox 8?
At this rate, IE is looking good, despite its shortcomings.

I think I will do this. I will use my apple ID and set face time and message to work independently. That solves one problrem. My other problem and maybe my bigger problem is that if I am using my apple ID, how do I iflter all of this so that my kids don't see my contacts, get my apps, etc. ?

Try downloading the current version of the iBooks app on your computer's iTunes so that the app is in your purchase history. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it.
If the ebooks aren't ibooks, then unless they are digital-rights-management free epubs then you probably won't be able to add them to your computer's iTunes library (File > Add To Library) and sync them to your iPad - in they do have DRM on them then does the store that you got them from have their own app in your computer's iTunes ? If they then you could try the above and see if they have an iOS 5 compatible version available.

I'm not really understanding what you want. You mention all 3 types of connections: wireless, 3G and bluetooth, but I'm not clear on what you want to do. What the router is supposed to do, and why do you think it would need to connect via bluetooth?
I'm thinking you want to buy a Mifi type device that will allow you to connect to a cellular network and then connect the iPad to that device via the Wifi network the Mifi produces.

I store all y music on an external harddrive and update my ipod from that normally. However at the moment I dont have it but would like to put songs that i have added to my itunes and are stored on my computer onto my ipod touch. Is there a way to just add songs to the ipod touch without losing all the rest of the songs on there?

You should be able to to it by using manual syncing method. See that method here:

To keep from losing purchases you will both need to continue sharing the Apple ID for purchases.
I would reccommend you both create new Apple IDs for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime and keep the current one to share purchases in the iTunes & App Stores.

Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages
Settings > FaceTime
Settings > Game Center
