Is it possible to transfer text messages from iPhone to iPad?
I'd like to backup my text conversations to my iPad from my iPhone 4.
Is there a way of doing so?
    Thanks

Not without restoring your iPad from the backup of your iPhone, which will revert all data and settings on your iPad to those contained in this backup, not just text message conversations.

  • How to transfer text messages from android to computer?

As you know, SMS is the basic function of a mobile phone, and we are used to send text messages on many occasions. Want to copy android sms to pc avoid losing them accidently? Puzzled in how to transfer text messages from android to pc? Well, now I'll guide you how to copy text messages from android phone to computer with Coolmuster Android Assistant.
It's very easy, we just need 2 steps to finish the work:
Step 1:Connect Android Phone to pc
The first thing you need to do is to download and install the Android contacts manager on your pc and launch it. The next is connect your Android phone to pc via usb cable. Your device will appear on the screen. The manager would recognise your android device automatically.
Notice: If this is the first time you connect android phone to the problem on computer, you should enbale USB debugging first, and install a USB driver on your computer, then the app would detect your android phone automatically.
Step 2elect sms and Start Export
You can find many icon on the left, find "Contacts" and click it, all then go to "SMS", then all sms on your android phone will be listed on the right. Then select and check you want to transfer, at last click "Export" to start the work.
    That's all!

  • Is it possible to transfer sms conversations from one iphone to another?

    Hey Guys,
I accidentally cleared the sms conversation between my girlfriend and I on her iphone, she doesn't use itunes so I cant just restore it from her last sync. I still have the conversation on my iphone tho, is there any way I can transfer it from my phone to hers. Any help would be great
    Cheers.

    I doubt it.
You could investigate PhoneView or MobileSyncBrowser (or maybe TouchCopy), which could let you get the SMS messages as a text file and then she could save it on her computer. I'm guessing it has sentimental value?
But I don't think there is any feasible way to get it onto her phone. Oh wait, you could also take screenshots of the conversation and then email them from your camera roll to her. Probably easiest.

  • How do i transfer SMS messages from iPhone 2g to iPhone 5?

    Hey everyone,
I've just upgraded from the original iPhone 2g, to an iPhone 5.
I backed up my 2g phone to my computer, and then restored my new iPhone 5 frm that back up. However eveything from my old phone has transferred accross (Music, Photos, Notes etc...) but none of my text messages have transferred accross onto my new phone.
Does anyone know why this has happened, and how / if I can get my old messages onto my new phone?
Thanks for your help in advance.

You can try to restore again, but I wouldn't count on it working.
The iPhone 5 uses iMessage which wasn't available on the 2G, so there might be an incompatibility.
Honestly, I wouldn't even use the backup from the 2G - it's a 6 yr old phone model and you might be carrying over some setting that isn't desirable on a new device.

How do I transfer text messages from Nokia 6230 to my new phone Nokia 6280?

Take a backup of your old phone using Nokia Pc Suite, and the restore the data on the new phone, while restoring, it would ask you what all you want to restore, select messages and your messages would be copied on the new phone.

I have a MacBook pro that has power issues and will not start but the hardrive is fine.  I do not want to lose all of my files so I was wondering if it's possible to transfer my hardrive from a older Macbook pro to a new one if I were to purchase a new one?  Also, the software is not updated as the computer hasn't worked for about 2 months.
Also, if it is possible to transfer the hardrive, would my iTunes music transfer as well?  It is not saved in the cloud.
Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

You computer is probably perfectly repairable, but if you want a new one anyway, it is perfectly possible to transfer the data from the faulty one.
But it would be a mistake to simply put the old HD in the new computer.
    These are the steps:
Remove Hard drive from faulty computer. (very easy on Unibody MBPs, do-able but not so easy on older MBPs)
Put it in a cheap enclosure
    Connect it the new computer
    Boot up new computer.
If the new computer has never been run before the Setup Assistant will ask if you want to import your apps, data, settings etc from either another mac, another HD connected to the Mac or a Time Machine back up.
Obviously chose the second option (another HD connected to this Mac) and follow prompts.
If the new computer has already been run (so Setup Assistant doesn't run when you boot it up), you will need to use Migration Assistant...or run the installer again so that Setup Assistant runs again.

  • Is it possible to retreive deleted messages from your Iphone

    Hi,.
anybody can tell me, if it is possible to retreive deleted messages from your iphone handset

    Macbook354 wrote:
Yeah, unless you want to deal with the pain of trying to get you messages to your computer, you will have to take a screenshot (by taping the home and lock button at the same time).
If you want to print a screenshot, it will be in the photos app to print ( click the share button and click print).  If you so not have a AirPrint printer, there are third-party apps for computers like fingerprint (look it up) that can make a fake AirPrint printer.
I want to add something more.
In most cases, you would need to use a paid third party tool to export and then print your iPhone text messages on your computer. If you have a low amount of messages you want to print you can also take prints creens of each message, then transfer the photos to your computer and print from there. • Facetime not activating, getting SMS messages from +447786205094

I bought my iPhone 4 unlocked in UK, but am working in Canada, so have a Canadian sim in it, every time I turn face time on it says waiting for activation... And I get SMS messages from + 447786205094, containing what looks like the information needed by the phone to activate face time, but it doesn't activate! Anyone have any idea what I can do to activate face time?
    Thanks
    Ben

Hi there, there appears to be a problem with activating unlocked UK phones in other countries.

I'm afraid I don't know how to fix it though, but you may want to keep an eye on the other posts running on this forum just in case something else pops up.
As far as I'm aware it's not possible to manually activate facetime - The activation is by text message that are sent without the users knowing.
    Good luck.

  • How can I transfer I messages from my iPad to my new phone

HHow to transfer I messages from iPad to the new iphone

    Hello Ranji55,
If you want to make sure that your messages appear on all your devices, then take a look at the first two articles to get them linked up with your phone number as well as having Continuity for moving SMS and MMS messages being sent to both. If you are actually wanting to get past messages that are on your iPad on your iPhone, you can do that by making an iCloud back up of your iPad and then go through the process on your iPhone of erasing it and restoring from that back up. When you do that, not everything moves over like; the Camera Roll, not all apps will move over, and you will need to be on the same iOS version on all devices to make sure it moves over. Take a look at the last article for more information with links on how to do all of what I have described.
