Hi .. When we bought our iPad my hubby set up in his name / iTunes / iCloud. I now have iPhone ( he does not) and the two do not sync !! I would wipe him from the iPad but we have purchased all the apps etc in his iTunes account and not mine. Is there a way that my iPhone could sync with the iPad .. Can you set up multi iCloud accounts ?? Sorry but not very techno savvy !!!!

The iPad, like the iPod Touch and the iPhone was really designed to be a single user device. It was originally designed to be used in conjunction with ones personal iTunes library and one library only. Now it has gone PC free, but it still works the same way that it did at the inception, meaning it is still best suited as a single user device.
If you sign in and out of different Apple ID's on the iPad and you download past purchases with another ID, you will lock yourself out of the other ID for 90 days becuse you have associated the device with another Apple ID. You can read more about that here.

You can have multiple iCloud accounts (up to 3 I think) on the device, but to me that serves no real purpose if you can't associate the device with multiple ID's without worry of being locked out of your own ID.

You can set it up to backup to iCloud. Once you've done this you can back it up to iTunes on your computer manually, so technically, yes. You can back it up to both.

Restoring completely overwrites the contents of the phone, so if you restore it from iCloud, then restore it from iTunes, the data you restored from iCloud will be wiped from the phone and replaced with the data you restored from iTunes. The only way to initiate a restore from iCloud is to wipe the phone and start the iCloud restore from the setup wizard...

I can call my ipad with my iphone alll the time. That's how I check up on my kids at home when I"m at work. You just set up to your iphone's facetime setting with your phone number and set up your ipad's facetime settings with your apple id (in this case it's your email)

Select your iDevice in the iTunes.
Choose the Summary screen (tab) and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Then un-select Encrypt iPhone backup.
iTunes will then prompt you to “Enter the password to unlock your iPhone backup”, enter the password you set originally.

Each situation is different. I recommend contacting Apple and discussing it with them in a calm manner.
If the LB has to be replaced, ask about a "depot repair." In the US, it is a bit under $350 and they will usually fix everything that needs fixing. Note that your MBP needs to "qualify" for this repair, and only Apple can determine if it will.

That has been my experience anyway.
They already have the money from the gift card so would rather collect from your credit card.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

You can try an app like PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac or PC). Both will allow you to archive text messages to your computer.

Can the nano be set to playback in mono mode

My wife is deaf in one ear and there for cannot hear in stereo mode. Can the Nano be set to playback in mono mode. I have tried to modify a set of earphones for her, but the results are less than desirable.

I'm deaf in one ear too, and what I did was create the files in mono. I use the 320AAC format, which in mono, shows up as 160AAC and saves 1/2 the space on the hard drive or memory chip. SInce you already have stereo files, it's a simple matter to convert them all to mono, using iTunes. Go to the preferences and set the ripping to a mono-type format, choose all the songs in the library, and then convert them all. It might take hours for a large library, but it works fine.
I tried converter plugs but they were bulky and there's no simple way to solder the wires together in the tiny leads that go to the headphones that I use, so making mono files was my best option.

Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars. Scroll down to Calendars and set "Sync" as desired.

Um, there is no such thing as NAS4.1.
I'm assuming that you mean NAS4.0 (maybe NAS4.0sp1?). If so, then the session timeouts are specified in the session section of the NTV configuration files.
AFAIK, you can specify session timeouts on a per user basis.
