About broken ipad screen

My ipad screen got broken, but theres not much of a problem becouse its only small spot in the corner and im wondering is it necesery to change this glass? can broken glass become wider ?

I have heard of people just sticking on a screen protector and continuing to use it. If you can bear doing that, what can it hurt? If the cracks do grow, you'll have to replace the screen on your own dime, but that's what you'd have to do right now to fix it. So it wouldn't change anything to wait and see what happens.

IPad screen totally blank/black

I have read several posts regarding "Black Screen" but I can't seem to find anything like the issue I am having.
Problem - Screen is black. As far as I can tell there is no back light or any dim imagery on the screen. Screen totally blank.
Tried these solutions:
-Sleep/wake reset
-Sleep/wake + Home reset
-Full recharge
-Updated OS
-Restore from iTunes
Additional information:
iPad is still recognized and syncs when connected via USB to computer and iTunes. Was able to sync and run full restore from iTunes. The iPad still "chimes" when plugged in to power source. Was able to add/remove content in iTunes with no issues. As far as I can tell the iPad seems to be on and functioning but the screen is just completely black. Any thoughts....?

I would say it's probably a hardware problem, i.e. a defective backlight.
I assume you have the brightness turned up? Go outside in the sunlight and see if you can see any of the screen image.

Firefox screen totally blackout, menu &toolbars on top displayed in gray color

After open the firefox browser in my notebook(running MS Window 7)
1. menu & toolbars on top of the screen displayed in gray color, cannot view the menu & toolbars.
2. content of the firefox browser (previously can displayed the Ask search bar) now totally in black color, cannot view the Ask search bar.
3. only the restore, minimize & close buttons displayed clearly on top right corner of the browser screen.
4. Pause my mouse pointer on top right corner of the screen(area below close button) , Open menu displayed, click Open menu button & its content displayed, then click Help button & Help window pops up, but the help screen has the same problem as described in Point 1&2 above.
4. other browsers such as IE & Google Chrome operated as normal in my notebook computer, no screen display problem.

hello GYW_Chan, other users with this problem all had an embedded intel hd3000 graphics card with an old driver present. in case this also applies to you, here would be a link to update the driver, which in turn should also address the black firefox problem: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764 (for win7 64 bit)
in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

Probably safe to assume if you can no longer turn it on, you probably have hardware damage. Take it in to an Apple store or Authorized Service center to have it checked out, but the warranty will not covver this.

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

I understood. Emphasizing that this is still a guess, when you touch the screen it compares your fingerprint at that time to the one you originally recorded. The fact that the finger is warmer may have a small effect on the fingerprint making it appear different than the original colder one. Temperature differences cause things to expand and contract and that may be having an effect on the comparison. You could try recording a fingerprint after doing what you are doing and then see if it will be recognized when you do the same thing to log into the phone. I know that prior to iOS 7.1 for a few minutes after I would wash my hands the phone had difficulty recognizing the fingerprint. Don't know if it was temperature or moisture that caused the temporary change induced by the hand washing. That improved with version 7.1 I think.

If the screen is blurry, there might be something wrong with the iPad hardware. That shouldn't happen if the iPad is only one month old. You can try rebooting one more time and see if that corrects it. If it doesn't - and if you have an Apple Store nearby in the Phillipines - you might want to take it to the store and let an Apple Genius look at it.
