it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

What is the policy EXACTLY since Ive been told 2 seperate things?
I got a BB Bold 9650 in Nov of last year. Since then, I have had SEVEN refurbs. Each one with different problems. My first refurb was 6 weeks after I got my NEW device. Ive had a myriad of problems, each phone with a different issue, although some had some of the same. Around the fourth I started asking if I could get a comperable phone (since I had done that in the past) after 3 phones. They said the had stopped doing that. They sent me my 5th. (it was either right before the 5th or right after I got fed up, cancelled the whole account with 5 lines. I then decided I didnt want to pay 835 in ETF fees, and restarted them within the alloted 60 days). The 5th phone, OUT OF THE BOX had issues and I told them that. Ended up taking it into the store, they deemed it inrepairable (again) and sent me a new one AFTER FIVE DAYS. I receive my 6th blackberry three days ago.
36 hours into having the phone, the mic goes COMPLETELY OUT. I call VZW in a rage. I was told (in our local store, from an employee) between phones 5-6 (or possibly 6-7) that while VZW does no longer do the comparible after THREE broken devices, it WILL do it after approx 5 of them. Since I was on my (7th i believe) one, the guy said there should be NO PROBLEM in getting a comparible device. (Back to calling in a rage now). The girl auto offered me before I even asked, a comparible device, and I thought "gee, that guy must have been right!" we fill the order, she tells me it will be overnighted, and that the battery comes in one box, the phone in another, and it will be on my doorstep today.
Fedex comes, and only the battery has came. I call verizon, and was informed the PHONE ORDER was never put through, JUST THE BATTERY (coz im supposed to do WHAT with a battery to a droid x 2, when I have a blackberry bold 9650??) I call and ask what exactly is going on, they send me to a supervisor since I was demanding compensation for the fact that while *I* have done my part in paying my bill on time, considering all the down time I have had with non working phones, dropped calls, missed messages, freeze ups, 3 days (now 4) wasted waiting for FedEx to show up, etc, I get a 'supervisor' that informs me that hes doing me a FAVOR by "going out of the way" to give me something other then a blackberry, and was well into the way of telling me I WASNT going to get the droid x 2 and he was going to send me ANOTHER BLACKBERRY, when I pointed out, obviously the order was already cleared since I have the BATTERY that was sent to me. He continued making it sound like he was doing something "in my favor" and that he "wasnt supposed to do" by giving me a comparible phone, like the girl whom I already had talked to and had gotten a confirmation code on.
***What I want to know is, what is the ACTUAL POLICY on comparible devices after recieving X amount of broken refurbs? Ive been told that three is no longer correct. Was told in the store that 5+ was the "actual" comparible table. And this guy today tells me they DO NOT DO IT. EVER. ***
Part of the reason I cancelled my service to BEGIN with is I have been there for over five years. In the last year or so, customer service has just gotten pathetic and rude (I had a girl in the store say "Whatever" roll her eyes and walk away, last week). Service has went downhill, and the devices alone are just horrible! I havent been able to keep a phone from just shorting out or breaking past six months, and some have lasted 2 weeks, a few weeks, five days, 36 hours, etc. When I went to come back to verizon I had representatives make it HARD to come back. Im confused, do they want our service or not? Why are they telling me one thing in a store, one thing on the phone? I have held conversations with people that I now write downtheir name, number, time, date, office they are in, and most of the conversation, otherwise nothing ever gets accomplished and they try to weasel out of things that should be done like they were told to be.Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your problems. I can relate, since I have a 9650 Bold that reboots on its own, whenever it gets a notion to do so. Enough of my problem, I will see what I can do for you. These forums are for the most part community forums, by which Verizon does not for the most part read these forums. It is peer to peer. However, in your case, I will see if I can get a Verizon employee to send you a Private Message here in these forums. i currently have a 2207 iMac and I'm running tiger. I had an iPod classic which synced up beautifully but it has just died. iPod touch's are the only things that are on the market now as classic are no more. I've been told that an iPod touch won't qork on tiger operating system and I need to get snow lWoodard. Can I upgrade straight to snow leopard or do I need to get leopard first? I have an iPod Touch and am going on a cruise where I have been told that Safari won't work on the ship so I need to download Firefox. My iPod said that Safari cna't download it from the Firefox website. I found "Mercury Web Browser" Firefox, in the app store (free) and am wondering if that is what I need? - I never heard that but it may be true. It could be that for some reason Safari can't be used to log into the network. Once logged in, Safari should work fine
- However, I see nothing that say the Mercury Web Browser is Firefox. I would contact the cruise line and ask if and how you use the ship's['s wifi for an iPhone or iPad (it will apply to iPod touch) -

I have been told that my i-tunes is probably corrupted. How do I uninstall the corrupted i-tunes and install an i-tunes that is not corrupted? Will this automatically be sync.ed to my i-phone4s and i-pad once corrected on my emachine computer?
Just download a fresh installer and see if that works. If it is in the Add/Remove or Programs and Features, then uninstall and reinstall. If it cant, or isnt listed, then just reinstall.

I have Adobe Reader X loaded on my computer. Adobe sends me automatic updates periodically. I have been told that some hackers have been sending what appears to be an Adobe update and when I select run it will load malicious software or spyware onto my computer. How would I recognize this attempt and how can I prevent it? I also have Norton protection loaded on my computer (via Comcast). I am not sure if Norton can protect me if I select run. Do you have any suggestions?

By default, Reader updates occur automatically via the Reader app itself, and this is the most secure way to receive updates. While you can choose to update manually (by choosing Help > Check for Updates), you may not always get critical updates as they're released. See Automatic updates | Acrobat, Reader. If you receive an email about needing to update Reader, you should ignore it, as that is where the malicious updates can come from. Just make sure you're letting the updates happen from within Reader, either automatically or manually.

Additionally, we will need to consider to conduct the upgrade or clean install.
Upgrade. This option replaces your current version of Windows with Windows 7, and keeps your files, settings, and programs in place on your computer.
Custom. This option replaces your current version of Windows with Windows 7, but doesn't preserve your files, settings, and programs. It's sometimes referred to as a clean installation for that reason.

I have just moved to Spain and out in a Spanish sim into my Irish bought iPhone 4. It says 'invalid sim' and 'no service'. The phone is not locked to any provider. I have been told that its a handset issue. Please advise.
1). Are you positive the phone is not locked? Where did you buy it? Did you get it unlocked from your original carrier? Only Apple sells unlocked phones in most countries.
2). Did you try with a diffrent SIM. MAybe the one you have is defective.
3). Does the Spnaish carrier you are using support the iPhone? Who told you it is a handset issue? -

You probably know that mobilme goes away in June this year. There are two ways to access your mail account on iCloud, either through Lion or via the web.
