Hi, My 4th Gen touch won't upload music from itunes library. It says they have been transfered on itunes but there is no content? Had to go to Authorised Apple repair store to reinstal OS after it had frozen..now this!
I seem to have had the same problem as several people after the recent iOS update. My iPod touch said it needed to update..and then when that hung for about 6 hours, it wanted to restore repeatedly. Had to take it to have the iOS installed (x2) at an approved service centre (worked fine on their Mac). Now when connected to iTunes, iTunes says it's transfered music files across, but they're empty folders or corrupted. The tracks play fine on my PC, so I assume that the files are okay. Any suggestions why my touch doesn't want to download from iTunes?
Plug the iPod into the computer. This solves all three.

If you go to Settings do you see an entry for the Nike app? There is no way to delete or hide that app?
Have you tired using the Spotlight search? Maybe you just can't find it.
Next would be to restore a gain. First from backup then next to factory settings/new iPod.

Does work on the iPOd. You just do not get all the information that GPS/cellular connection can get. You will still be able to get distance/footstrikes like the installed app an you do not need the shoe sensor.. It uses the built-in sensors on the iPod -
I have first iPod touch, but can't after restore can't reinstall some apps I bought because they have been updated in iTunes to newer versions? I am giving this to my grandchildren and their favorite game Skee-Ball updated and now can't reinstall on iPod touch.
If you still have the apps on the iPod you can delete them from the computer and then transfer the apps from the iPod t the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Next would be to look in your computer backups file for a version of the apps that works with the iOS on the iPod.
Otherwise you are out of luck. -

An iPod is designed to be synced with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library, iTunes on the new/different computer will replace the contents currently on the iPod with whatever is currently stored in its own library.
If the music and content on your iPod is not in iTunes or in a backup somewhere you can use the information in this user tip from another forum member turingtest2 to help you copy this content from the Nano back to the PC and into iTunes.

I have a 4th Gen Touch, 64gb.
Got it about three days ago, and have since been connecting to my phone's WiFi.
(I have a HTC Desire HD)
It had been working absolutely fine, no issues, was loading app store, itunes, and safari pages all fine.
Yesterday, it just wouldn't load, as if I had no connection.
Now, it shows that the ipod is connected to my wireless.. it just won't load.
Please help.lol.If you've already tried the hard reset (holding down the sleep/wake and home buttons until it restarted), power cycling, and resetting network settings, you may want to try restoring your iPod through iTunes back to its original factory settings. You'll want to back everything up to your computer first.

It is important that you do set the iPod up as a new device at the end of the process to prevent copying over any potential problem directly from your back up image. Test it out. If it still won't work talk to the folks at Apple to see if there is anything wrong with the iPod. -
I am new to Apple and can't sync my music from laptop to Ipod touch even tho my laptop recognizes the Ipod. I haven't signed up for Itunes yet as I'm doing one thing at a time and don't see where Itunes is connected to syncing music. Also, if I bought 8 gig, then why do I only have 6 when I haven't added anything yet?

I am getting an IPad2 compatible with latest version ITunes and have at present a 4th Gen Touch which I would also continue to use. If I updated to latest Version ITunes would I still be able to use my Touch without losing any data on it and also use same account number and password. If so what would be the procedure.
Yes. Updating iTunes keep it current with newer OSes. But you can continue to use it with older ones just the same.
All you need to do is update iTunes directly. There's nothing you need to do on your iPod. -

Double check each track to make sure the *Remember Playback Position* option has not been abled from under the Options tab of the track's *Get Info* window in iTunes.

Don't know anything about McAffe Enterprise Server, but if your employer is preventing you from using iCloud backup there's really no way to use it without removing this from your phone. Unless you can convince the IT guys to make an exception.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Yes, I've been using it for months. And I can charge other devices with it. (my iPhone) but something weird just happened..... I kept on pluging it in the iPod and sometimes it would start to chàrge then sometimes it won't charge. Charges every time with the iPhone though.

. As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB
