No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple. Unless you can get that info, you won't be able to restore the phone, to sell it, or re-activate it.
You need to somehow get back in touch with your girlfriend & obtain this info, or all you'll own is a paperweight.

I read online i could rest all the contents and settings of my iphone. But it wouldnt let me rest my iphone without the icloud account password and i cant turn off "Find My Iphone" without the icloud password. So how can I reset my iphone without the password???
Well, unfortunately, you have run into the Activation Lock. Whomever sold you the phone either sold you a stolen phone, or they failed to sign out of iCloud and to turn off Find My iPhone before selling you the device. Your only recourse at this point is to contact the seller to see if they will remove the iCloud/Find My iPhone sign in:

If they refuse to help, or you cannot contact them, I'm afraid you have a brick. There is no other way around the Activation Lock other than what is posted in the link above. For future reference, if you are purchasing a used iDevice, make sure the Activation Lock is not enabled on the device:

You will know that a device is ready for you to use when you're asked to “Set up your iPhone," “Set up your iPad," or “Set up your iPod” during the device setup process.

You can't. Your mysterious benefactor must remove the device from her (I guess you know it's a her?) iCloud account by logging into icloud.com, going to Find my iPhone and removing from there.

You can't. Apps and really all content purchased/downloaded through one Apple ID is forever tied to that Apple ID. In the case of Apps they will always request that Apple ID to update as they are licensed to that Apple ID.
In reality, the Apps were licensed to that Apple ID by the developer. And cannot simply be given away to you for you to use.
He should have wiped the iPod clean so you could set it up for your use without any of his accounts or purchased content as you are not really licensed to any of those Apps.

Sure there is.
1. restart your computer in Single User Mode (by pressing Command + S during boot - see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1492)
This will boot your OS X system in a kind of command line mode.
Note: this will not work if you have a Firmware password set.
2. when in Single User Mode, enter the following command
mount -uw /
to mount your OS X file system.
3. now you can enter the following command
passwd username
replacing "username" by your OS X user's short name. Then you will be prompted to enter the new password for that user. You will have to confirm that new password.
Note that you will not see any character showing when you enter the new password; this is expected behaviour. -

If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

You need to enter the Apple ID and password that was used to set up/activate the phone. There is no way around this.
