Hi, my ipad mini's headphone jack is not functioning properly.
Hello, on my ipad mini, only the right side earphone works. Audio is fine without headphones and on docks. I have checked, its not my headphones, because this was still an issue with all my other headphones, so i know its something to do with the headphone jack. I have also checked settings, which claim that the audio is balanced and not set to only the right speaker, and i have rebooted the ipad several times to no effect. Anybody know anything about my issue? One more thing. My ipad is not new, this problem has only just occured, however my ipad is not at the age when it should be when it starts breaking as i recieved mine new in june 2013

Hello guys,
Recently, I have encountered a bizzare issue with my iPad mini's touch screen. The left side (portrait orientation) has begun to not function as expected. Namely, random taps occur while my own taps are not registered on the left side, while the right side is just fine. What is most interesting is that this distance from the left side is fixed at precisely 2cm.
Now, I know that this question has been asked about a hundrend times already, but, strangely enough in my case a reboot DOES fix the issue, temporarily anyway. After about 2-6 hours later, the problem reoccurs. This has led me to believe that it is a software issue and not a hardware one, although, that is hard to believe. I installed iOS 7 not too long ago but it has been working just fine (no touch screen bugs on iOS 6.1 whatsoever). Unfortunately, my warranty has expired about 2 weeks ago, with the problem occuring last week, therefore asking at Apple Support is impossible.
Does anyone have any ideas on what this is, and/or how to fix it?
Any support/question/solution is appreciated.
Ps. I will add pictures showing the unresponsiveness of the display if requested. Drawing a line appears as multiple taps on the left side while right side is still a line.Frozen or unresponsive iPad

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. They may work with you on the warranty issue, if the iPad does not show any evidence of being dropped.

You likely have a problem with the headphone jack. You jhave to ways to listen to music via headphones:
- Get the jack fixed. Here is one place:

However first I wold rule out a software problem by try the following:
Reset the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults.
The other way is to use bluetooth headhone if you have a 2G or later iPod. -
How do you unlock a disabled ipad mini? I have my notes in Notability and I don't want to lose them. I know my passcode but I left my keyboard on and it disabled it.
Unfortunately... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

Is it possible to lock the onscreen numeric keyboard on the iPad mini so that I do not have to go back to the regular keyboard every time I press the space button?

I received an iCloud backup notification on my ipad mini but tapping "OK" does not remove it and therefore I am unable to do any activity on my ipad mini. please help urgent.??
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

What to do If the headphone jack is not working
Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
after that preform a restore by going to
general>reset>erase all content and settings
this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.
You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings. -

Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.

Please help! I just sync my notes to icloud of my ipad mini but after that all notes has been covered by iphone's and all notes are missing from iPad,how could i restore it?
It's very possible that you did just as you suspect. One of the later Note file over wrote the one stored on your iPad when you synced.
When one does a sync of their iPad a backup of the iPad is created first. If that backup was still available you might be able to find the Note file there. But more than likely, if you are letting the iPad and iPhones sync on their own over Wi-Fi you have over written that back up as well. -

if it play not sound at all then it's likely the hardware issue where the headset detector gets stuck

I have a MBP 13" running os x lion 10.7.4. The headset jack does not function at all. I can hear crackling in the headphones but not acual sound. I have attempted the the PRAM reset but I guess my timing is off because I keep running into the boot menu. I have a pair of Dre. Pro's that I am using and work fine on everything else I own. There is a switch inside the audio jack that may be stuck. Try gently inserting an audio plug, gently wiggling it, and then removing the audio plug. -
