Hi, my iPhone 3GS has many problems. Please help if you can!

Havent had my phone for even a full year yet, been nothing but problems. My iPhone will not ring or notify me when people call yet i get the missed calls on my phone after they call 10 times (which they are normally very frustrated by then). It is hard to hear me sometimes when I talk to others using this phone. I will all of a sudden cut out when they could hear me perfectly clear. Also I will be texting a message and I will type a whole message but it wont show up on the screen and after 2 minutes when it finally does its only part of the message. My camera only opens up some of the time. My switch just doesnt work. When you switch it to silent it wont work unless you hold your finger on the switch. My home button doesnt always work. I will be using an app and all of a sudden my phone will freeze and restart itself. I will lock my phone but it will not actually lock until 2 minutes after i press the button. Sometimes my screen gets stuck in a landscape position even my home screen and lock screen, kinda weird. Oh and i have had the problem recently where I will plug my charger in and it will charge on and off. It will charge and then after a few minutes it will say this charger is not supported and it will go back and forth. So i got a new charger and tried it to see if the problem was the charger and it still did the same thing. There are more little problems but these are the major ones. I know there is a lot but any help or suggestions are welcomed and appreciated! Thank you Oh my phone has also spent most of its time in an otter box so not much damage to my phone. Thanks again!!

Since you are still under Warranty, make appointment with Apple Genius and take iPhone to Apple for resolution of those problems.

Hope you can help me out, I have just purchased a Nano 3G and its all fine when working with head phones.
Tried it in my Bose Sounddock and it has several issues:
1) will not charge at all
2) will not let me change songs when docked
3) when removed it locks for up to 20 secs
4) bose remote will only let me alter volume not songs or rewind
5) if I press off on Bose remote it goes off for 5 secs then comes back on
Please can anyone help explain or offer solutions to this please.

The problem is your phone was illegally unlocked and jailbroken. When you upgraded it took the unlock off and now it is locked to the original carrier it was locked to. You will not be able to unlock it now.

If changing your password does not solve then contact itunes support

I'm totally out of ideas here and would appreciate it if someone could help me? We have 2 XBox 360's both with the Microsoft XBox wireless adapters. My son has had his since they first came out whatever year that was. My youngest daughter got hers last October. Both XBox's connect to XBox LIVE without a problem via a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router. The problem we can't solve is - my oldest daughter and son-in-law live about a mile from us and they have an XBox 360. When we try to connect to their XBox (or anyone else that's local) to play against her and her husband, it won't connect and gives us a "Disconnected" prompt every time. They have no problem connecting to other XBox's locally but we, for some reason, can't. I can connect our XBox directly into our cable modem bypassing the Linksys and it connects to them, so it isn't the cable modem. I've changed settings on the router, internet, XBox with no luck. I've updated the firmware. I've read thru posts on the internet for weeks and now my brain is mush. Is this fixable or do I need to buy a new wireless router? Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with anything but we have 3 PC's and 3 DVR's also connected to the internet but are hard wired. My kids and grandkids have DSi's, a Playststion3, and a Wii and those all connect via wireless and work great. XBox has this WRT54GS listed as compatable. I'm stumped. I know there's some really sharp folks out there somewhere.......please help if you can? Thanks for any help you could offer!

Have you opened the ports on the router....?
If not then,you need to open ports 53-3074 on the router..Read this link. Also,under the security tab on the router,uncheck Block Anonymous Internet Requests and click on Save Settings...

If I try to sync --I get the message that ipod can be synced w only one computer and if I sync with this library (which only shows new purchases from itunes) it will replace everything that is currently on ipod

Why can't the songs be transferred to the device? Is it because they are not authorized? Were these 25 tracks purchased/downloaded with the same account you have used to authorize the PC/new iTunes library?

Do you receive that error when you try to sign in via Reader? If so, try signing in via the web interface. Did that do the trick?

Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Wireless connection speed fluctuating: please help if you can.

I have a problem with wireless Internet connection speed which spinning my head off, I desperately need other people advice please.
My AirPort Express (AirTunes) serves the flat with Internet, two pc’s and an iMac (Intel Chip). The first pc is a sony laptop that has the Centrino platform (i.e. Wireless ready) and the other pc has an internal D-Link Air DWL-510 wireless PCI (IEEE 802.11b)
The laptop seems to get the maximum speed of the internet connection anytime anywhere in the flat, the iMac gets 70% of the connection speed. While the PC with DWL-510 gets only 30 – 40% of the connection speed only. However, sometimes all the sudden, both the iMac & the PC will get the maximum speed as it should! On a random bases.
I am puzzled trying to establish why is that happening? what could it possibly be that is curbing the connection speed to start with? And what changes that sometimes the pc will get the full connection speed? I have a wireless phone at home, I have a wireless temperature controller as well, and there are wooden walls dividing the rooms in between. I tried switching the wireless devices on and off but the results produced had no affect. My AirPort Express is password protected, so (most likely) no one is steeling my bandwidth. So, what else am missing? What other factors that causing this fluctuation in my internet connection!!?? Please advice if you can think of anything?

In regards to the first point (ISP connection), I agree. When I tried to test the line some time ago (on a wired link) I noticed the fluctuation, but it was acceptable. The problem I have now is that the 2mb connection I have, this particular pc receives only 600kb (+/- 10% variable), where is the other 1.4mb going? Sometimes, all the sudden I notice my connection go mad and I get the full speed for a while! I don't know what has changed from the surroundings.
The other things you mentioned (source of influence i.e. other wireless networks that might be crossing mine, bluetooth devices and Ethernet port is used while the wireless is in use) all are viable possibilities. I’ll start testing to check if any of ‘em is the case. Especially other wireless networks, cause its seems that my wireless card discovers at least other two connections along side to mine. I guess if it was the case, nothing much I’ll be able to do about it.

i expierenced issues with my iphone 3gs since iOS 4.1,my battery drain was terrible but after iOS 4.2 i thought it becomes better but no,after 2 weeks i observed what my battery is draining sometimes very fast-for example when i charge it yesterday from 0% to 100%,after one call my battery in my eyes decrease from 100% to 97% and this is not for first time.and when my battery goes from (for example 97 to 88%) it stays on 88 % all the day,please i want to use my phone normally,tell me what to do,i tried many times in iOS 4.1 restoring in iTunes but nothing helped,maybe to try to restore in iOS 4.2 ? any sugesstions will be apreciated,thank you !

Hello. I have updated my iphone 4 to ios7 after doing a backup to itunes. I am caught in a loop of being asked to 'restore from backup' as part of setup and that restore failing because the phone already has it's content I believe. Please help if you can.

Hi. I have an iphone 4 that I have just installed ios7 onto. I had backed up the phone prior.
After the software install the phone rebooted and showed the 'Hello' setup. I am stuck because as part of the setup it asks me to 'restore from backup via itunes". I dont understand why i need to do this as I thought the ios7 install procedure would restore the phone with it's content.
I tried to restore from backup but it says I cant because there is not enough space on the phone. If I connect the phone to itunes, it shows that the phone has all my content, especially since iphoto launches and I can see all the photos it wants to download to iphoto off the phone.
I am caught in a loop. My phone has it's content, but the startup procedure on the phone will not let me progress until I have restored from backup via itunes. But it cant because the phone has no space!!
The only other option it gives is 'Set up as new phone".
Can anyone help please. Thanks.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.
