Hi, my iphone 5S shows Face Time icon only in settings notification. I don't find it anywhere else in the phone. Please help.
I purchased iphone 5S in Saudi Arabia; there are iphones promoted with Face Time app, sold here widely. When I purchased it, there was no explicit ad for Face Time with it. I have Gold, 64 GB. When I extensively searched for this app, i just found it in notifications (badges, alerts). I have not been able to find the app anywhere else in the phone. Would any friend here on this forum let me know how to set an email account for Face Time? I am not sure whether it actually exists in my phone. Thank you.

You did not ruin the phone, you will need a sim card to activate the phone and then connect the phone to itunes and do a restore from back up.

Im sorry to hear that. You need to restore like brad said.
But you can restore from a latest backup from itunes after restore. I hope you had a recent backup made.

I don't have FaceTime, , though I have input their email addresses? How can I get FaceTime? I have an iPhone 4 with the latest OS installed! (this iPhone was purchased overseas, would that be the problem)? Is it an Apple problem or my carrier (AT&T)? My son with the same plan and I think the same phone has facetime (maybe he has iPhone4 S? I am not sure though!

Thanks!I am guessing you said that once in a contact there is no Facetime button to select. There is no Facetime icon anywhere else on the phone. Where was the phone purchased? If it is a phone purchased in a country where the government has restricted Facetime, it has been removed from the phone. There is no way to get it back. If that is not it, check in settings and see if Facetime is turned on and activated.

iPhones sold in the UAE are prohibited from having Facetime pre-installed, nor can they ever have Facetime installed on them. This is because of regulations in the UAE.
If you need to have Facetime, you'll have to purchase an iPhone from a country or region that does not ban Facetime. -

There never was a FaceTime icon for the iPhone, so nothing has disappeared. FaceTime is accessed by opening Contacts, selecting a contact, and near the bottom of the contact, one of the buttons should say FaceTime.

I have an iPhone 5. Stedman is right. If you want to make a FaceTime call, you must go to the person's contact card and make the call by tapping the Facetime button.
iPads have a FaceTime icon, but iPhones have never had one. -

Missing FaceTime App
Another possibility is that the device was purchased in a country where FaceTime is restricted, like many Middle Eastern countries. If purchased in one such country, there is no way to add FaceTime, even if you move to a country where it is not restricted. You would need a device that originated from a country where it is allowed. Also, if you reside in a country where it is banned, but purchase an iPhone or iPad that was imported, you will not be able to use it while in that country once you insert a local SIM card.

For the iPhones, there isn't any icon for facetime, its located in the contact that you would like to Facetime with.

I can not find face time icon on my iphone 4. help.
There is no FaceTime icon like on the ipod touch 4G, it is build in.
Just make sure that FaceTime is activated in Settings/Phone. After that use the contact info to place a FaceTime call.
