Hi my iphone is disabeled it is one of the original iphones and i want to get back on it to use as a camera and ipod
and when i plug it into itunes it tells me to unlock it but it is disabeled
You need to restore it using Recovery mode. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808. You will also need a SIM card in it to activate it. The SIM does not need to be a currently working one, but it must be in the phone until the Restore is complete.

A. how to make a ringtone using iTunes
First, open up iTunes in order to make a ringtone using iTunes. Find the song you want to turn into a ringtone by browsing through your music library.
Next, find exactly what part of the song you want to make a ringtone using iTunes. For example, if you want to use a specific section of the song from 21 seconds to 40 seconds, make a note of where you want the ringtone to begin and end.
Now, right click on the song you want to turn into a ringtone. Click "Get Info". Now, in order to make a ringtone using iTunes, click the "Options" tab.
Check the "Start Time" check box. Type in the point in the song where you want the ringtone to start in the format "minute:seconds" (e.g. the second mark would be 0:20). You can also be more precise by adding a period and putting milliseconds in after that (e.g. 0:20.150, would be 20.150 seconds). Also, click the "Stop Time" check box and enter where you would like the ring tone to end. Keep in mind ringtones can only be around 39 seconds maximum. Press "Ok". We are almost done making a ringtone in iTunes
Now, right click on the same song. Select "Convert AAC Version". If it is in another file format, you can go to "Edit" then "Preferences" and under the "General" tab click "Import Settings"; change the file format to AAC. After you select "Convert AAC Version" a new file will be created, but it will only be the segment of the song that you specified earlier.
Now, you have to find the file you just created. Right click on the new, shorter song and select "Open in Windows Explorer". The file extension should be .m4a. Rename the extension to .m4r by right clicking the file and selecting "Rename".
Now you can delete the shortened version of the song in your iTunes library. Then, double click the .m4r file and it will loaded into your iTunes Ringtone list. Now you can make a ringtone using iTunes! -

Yes i had not taken back up before restoring it. However i was just going through some links on the net and there is a software available for MAC to retrieve such lost data. But the point is will the said software work on iphone as the OS is not MAC..

Is the iPad 2 charger the same as the charger for the original iPhone?
My understanding is that the charger that comes with the iPad 2 is more powerful and will charge the iPad 2 more quickly than will the charger that comes with the iPhone 4. However, the iPad 2 charger is the same shape as the charger that came with the original iPhone. Does anyone know whether the iPad 2 charger and the original iPhone charger are identical in function? (BTW, my understanding is that the iPad 2 charger will not charge the iPhone 4 faster than that phone's charger will).
No, they're not the same. I compared mine awhile back and while they're the same shape, the iPad 2 one has writing on it that says "10 W USB Adapter". The one for the original iPhone doesn't have that writing, but if you compare the detailed input-output information, it does show that it is less powerful.
I believe that's why Apple changed to the two different sizes, so you can quickly determine which are for "phone" type devices and which are for "larger" type devices.

I have three iPhone 4 models purchased in late 2010 (for my family) that all share the same iTunes account for access to apps and music, but each phone/user still has his/her custom contact list, email accts, and select lists of apps and music from the one iTunes acct library. The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. I just had my iphone stolen from me. In the past I have always set up my phones an ipads on to the find my iphone service. I have never deleted them from the find my iphone account and now I have 3 iphones showing and 2 ipads. How can you tell the difference when none of them are labeled as Iphone 4, iphone 4s, iphone 5, etc. No dates are shown as when purchased so it I can't figure out which one is the correct iphone to put on lost mode and send message to.
Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.

2. Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
3. Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
4. It restricts it to Wifi. If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
5. Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
6. The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say. It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though. -

Lately, when I take a picture with my iPhone or try to save one from the internet, it acts like it saves it, but when I go to my Photo Album, it doesn't show up. Also, if I try to take a picture through an app, the app just crashes. What do I do to fix this?
It definitely shouldn't be that slow, are you using the stock camera? what mode are you using it in? what other settings do you have setup? try downloading another camera like "a better camera" or any other free one and see if it behaves the same. If it does that tells me that either the lens is really dirty or the hardware may have an issue. Make sure the lens is clean then try either a restart or power down and battery pull and see if that solves anything.

How did you do that? Do you mean you sync to iTunes that had the ipad library?
The phone with the issue, settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe the phone clean and then restore from your backup. -
I have sent my i phone through royal mail on 8th February 2013 but still it is not deliver to apple. I used the empty box sent by apple to me to sent my i phone to them. Can any one advice me how long it can take to get back my iphone from repair?

If Apple has not received your phone, obviously it can't even be evaluated for warranty purposes. Have you tried calling AppleCare to verify whether they have received the phone or not? -
1) I have multiple accounts at the iTunes store and none are now associated with my purchases...I think because passwords have been associated with various id’s and I can’t log in and access those purchases. I have one of the original iPods. I also had an old aluminum Mac. I had a lot of music stored on both. My Mac no longer works because the software doesn't update. But my iPod still works and has all of my old music stored. I'd like to sync it to my current PC, but the adapter is so old that it doens't work with new laptops. Is there something I can purchase, so I can have my old music moved to my newer iPod thru a PC?

I did exactly what you wrote, and when trying to click the vcf file on the iPhone the screen freezing, and then after few long seconds it goes alon to home.
So I tried less contacts in a Vcard, and i'm dividing my address book, doing little by little and it work.

Skip the iCloud sign in for now.
Once you reach the home page, go to settings and sign out of FaceTime and Messages. This should also sign you out of iCloud.
Go to iCloud in settings and sign in with the correct Apple ID.
If that does not work
Skip the iCloud sign in
Go to Apple ID.apple.com and sign in
Change your Apple ID to the old one
Delete iCloud account on your device with the old Apple ID and the same password.
Go back to the website, change your Apple ID back to the current one. You will receive an email to verify the account. Verify first.
Sign into iCloud on your device with the correct Apple ID and password
