Hi, my iphone's display appears pale yellow in colour when compared wit my friends' iphones' display which looks bright white in colour. When I took it to the apple store, they said that the display of few the iphones differs. Is that true?

Another fellow Apple users suggested the following steps:
1. Try a reset (probably unnecessary for you, but try it anyway)
2. Clean docking port with clean tooth brush and alcohol (and not too much alcohol)
3. Try another wall socket (preferably one that's not shared with other devices)
4. Try another cable (make sure it's an original Apple cable)
5. Try another charger (make sure it's an original Apple charger)
6. Make sure you're not using a USB hub (may not have enough of power)

If the technician at the shop is competent, he has given you a diagnosis that should have identified the problem. You could run the Apple Hardware Test to verify the findings:

Note the Apple Hardware Test is not definitive.
Go to the iFixit.com and Powerbookmedic.com web sites. They have parts and installation instructions. To install an Airport card is fairly easy.

Apple does offer a trade-in program and a recycling program.

For the trade-in program, contact the store in question.
They may not accept iPhones from outside the US.
The trade-in program requires the device to be fully functional.
Frankly, you will get a better value by using other services or selling the device yourself.

Because an iPhone warranty is only good in the country of purchase. You will have to take it back to the USA or send it to someone there to have them take it to an Apple store.

If your iPhone is new and you purchased from an Apple (Corporate ) Retail Store then you have to activate after inserting a new carrier sim for first time

Are these shown in the App Store's Updates page? If not, then you don't need them. You could download the full Mavericks installer application if you want to create a bootable USB flash drive installer or just to keep handy should you need it (store it in your Downloads folder.)

I have been using a 2012 Mac pro to do HD video editing. I bought a new portable Macbook Air only to find that Maverick no longer has "open files in a new window" which I use all the time in the very large folders of video clips and royalty-free music. I asked at the Apple Store how I could get this back on the Macbook Air and they said it couldn't be done so I thought I would re-format the HD and install 10.7 on it and was notified by the Macbook Air I can't put 10.7 on that computer. Apple use to give this as an option but now they have gone more to the attitude of "Do it our way or go to ****!" In anger I went out and bought a Dell Laptop and Pinnacle Studio 17 which I have been learning to use. I have been an Apple/Mac user since 1979 and would still rather do my video editing on a Mac. Any apps you've had installed on your iPad can be downloaded again.
Go to App Store on your iPad and select 'Updates' and then tap on Purchased. You can then view all purchases made on the iPad or purchases made on other devices by selecting the 'Not on this iPad' tab.
