Hi people i am so frustrated, i have downloaded 449 songs and when i try to put them on my i pod it gives me only 150 and the rest have exclamation marks beside them ***

I have downloaded 449 songs and i can not seem to get them all on my i pod it will only download 150 and the rest all have exclamation marks against them, could this be from my old i pod and how can i get to them

The exclamation mark means the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. This can happen if you or some other software moves, renames or deletes the files. Select an affected file and press CTRL-I to Get Info. Look at the summary tab and the entry near the bottom that says Where: This will start file://... and gives the last known/expected location of the file. The last part of that path will be of the form <filename>.<ext> where the <filename> is typically <track no.> <track name>. Search your computer for the specific filename to see if you can find where the file has been moved to. Ideally just move it back to where iTunes wants it to be. With luck you'll find that a bunch of folders has just been moved to the wrong place and you can move them back as a job lot.
