Hi Picture size and durations

Two problems. Pictures inported are from my camera fro animation sequence but they do not fit into the imovie window - about a third is cut off the bottom. Is there a way for imovie to resize them on import? or do I need to resixe them all manually?
Next problem asked before and thought it was fixed but no longer!
Imported photos to timeline adopt a duration of 9:25 seconds tried selecting all and chainging photo info but in;y applries mew duration to the last on.
Tried to alter the first and then import the others this doesn't work either-it defaults to 9,25 seconds again.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

Pls bear with me. First time using this forum. I'm new to iMovie, but making progress. I can't bring in still clips without chopping large areas of the image. Tried resizing in PS Elements. Tried bringing in directly from iPhoto. This problem is a show stopper for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Maximum Package Size and Duration for HD Streaming?

Hey All,
I've taken the HD plunge and am editing my first piece of video. I've finished and I want to export it to stream to my PS3 and/or Xbox. My question is what are the best settings for export to Quicktime MP4 1080 HD for maximum packet size and max packet duration?
Also do I need to optimize for server if I will be streaming from my Time Capsule?
I can successfully stream SD but I don't quite understand all this HD stuff so any and all help is appreciated.

I totally appreciate the thread but my goal is not to copy the file but to get it to stream properly. Right now it stutters a bit during streaming. I am trying to find out if Max package and duration could help.
I'm at 15KPBs on the download and 973 on the upload so it shouldn't be a network problem. I was just hoping someone could explain the max settings and recommend something for streaming

Questions on image size and duration

im putting still pictures into the video timeline. Is 640x480 the proper size for TV? Is there a way to size the images in FCP or do i have to do it in photoshop?
Also, im trying to make a really really quick flashing sequence of photos, but when i try to change the duration it defaults back to like 1:80 or something. How do i change the duration the photo shows for to like 1/4 of a second or 1/2 a second? thanks. steve

Desktop Icon Picture size and format limit

I'm pushing out a group policy to desktop but would like to know icon size limits and also what are acceptable formats. Currently using a 12k jpg icon that points to a URL and testing but don't get the picture.
Setting is located:

Before going further, we can run command gpresult/h gpreport.html
to check group policy result report to see if the policy setting got applied successfully. Besides, please make sure that users can successfully access the icon file. We can also check event logs in Event Viewer to see if some related events were logged.
If we can't find anything wrong with above troubleshooting, we can use another icon to check if this is related to the icon itself.

Method to double a picture size and change to grayscale

Hello, I'm having trouble figuring out whats wrong with my code. Its supposed to double to size of a picture and change it to grayscale, but when I call it I only get a double sized blank picture. I can't figure out how to get the picture itself to copy over when I call the method. Here is my code:

Althought I'm not familiar with the Picture class, i do notice that your line:
Picture targetPic = new Picture(2 * this.getWidth(), 2 * this.getHeight());constructs a new instance of Picture, which is then never used until
return targetPic;therefor it is constructed, and returned in it's initial state, without ever being mutated.

Size and duration of a MDM Project

Hello,
I have a difficult question (because I know that the answer depends on the situation), but I would appreciate to have some ideas based on real experience :
1) what is the man-month effort for a typical MDM project? Say to put in place a repository for products + customers, so that at the end, we are able :
- to maintain them centrally and distribute them to sevaral systems
- to use the unduplication fonctionality
The project should have the following steps : requirements gathering, specifications, customizing, tests, data migration and cutover.
2) What profiles do we need for such a project ?
3) Is it realistic to plan a MDM project in less than 6 months ?

My experience of MDM Project for Resource estimation is as below.
The most important thing to look at MDM project is to know what are the interfacing issues from source systems. What are the final Attributes that need to be mapped in MDM. what are the total no of mapping profiles that need to be build for Importing and Sysdicating. what are the taxonomy, lookup or hirearchy that are required to customer? Does RPCM is a required scenario? What are ports that need to be required? how many client systems are required for inbound/outbound and so on?
Note: MDM implementation is driven more by architecture and its integration to other systems. It is not a worry to know the no of records in MDM. MDM Attribute list is something that shows the impact on the load of the project.

Thanks for getting back. Hadn't got round to re uploading the amended feed. I just did it now.
The only thing is, Feed Validator doesn't like it because of the picture size, and a couple of other things, it reeds the following:

The collum to the right listed similar problems. The solution appears to be that under smtp outgoing settings the user name and password are listed as optional. I have not plugged in the information and it seems to be working. However from my office it always allowed the relaying. The true test will be when I try to respond later from the road.

How can I make a picture fit entirely in the photo box in a book. The picture size is small, but the it only shows part of the picture, and the zoom is all the way down.

I am trying to make a Photo Book using IPhoto for my granddaughter's wedding. I am using 6 pictures per page, as I have many pictures to add to book.
The picture size is small. But when I zoom is all the way down to the end to make smaller. Doesn't go far enough. When I try to put a picture in the square spot, it cuts off part of the picture. Has anyone else had this problem, and could help me out. I really would like to put on each page even more pictures, but that is not an option with IPhoto. I have used other sites to make books. This is my first try with IPhoto. I may have to revert to the old familiar ones. Wanted to give this one a try. My granddaughter leaves for Germany on the 21st to join her marine husband. I am quickly running out of time. (The wedding was this past Saturday)

Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size. Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case. Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain. I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small. How can I make your program increase the size?

CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.

If you right click on the image on the page in the context menu select photo box alignment and then select one of scale to fit {centered, Left-aligned, Right-aligned}
That should do what you are loking for.

Sending pictures on BBM gets lower size and quality

My friend has Bold 9000, and I have Bold 9700. When i send a picture to his bb through bbm, he recieves it in full size and quality, but when he sends me a picture from his bb to mine through bbm, i recieve it in a lower quality and size then the actual picture. we both are using the latest bbm. please help

Well before you uninstall the BlackBerry, you can create a backup using Desktop Manager. Also you can wireless backup your BlackBerry Messenger contacts within BBM.
To create a wireless backup:
1. Open BlackBerry Messenger.
2. Press the Menu key and choose Options.
3. Scroll down to Contact List, and click on Backup.

I have lost pictures in iPhoto, but I can see them in the data folder, except they are only thumbnail size. They will not open at regular size and are showing unreadable in the "originals" folder. I've rebuilt and nothing is restoring these pics.

I have lost pictures in my iPhoto. We moved my iPhoto to a external hard drive and I believe since then, I have random pics missing. Some pics will show up in the "photos" and some show with a title and a blank picture. When I click on "package contents" in iPhoto, I have found the "Originals" folder where all the pics are pulling from and the file is there but won't open. However, in the DataXML folder under package contents, I can open the file but it is much smaller (supposed to be 1 MG, but showing in the data folder as 63kb). How can I get these pics restored in the Originals folder? I've rebuilt the library several times and I just ran the iPhoto Library Manager and it won't pull from the data file. Help!!

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
