Logging in SAP forum using Safari browser

O.k guys, new to the forum. My first question will not be on financial but definitely expect a lot in the coming days. I am having trouble logging into SAP Forum using Safari browser. Every time i give user Id and password it will pop up a new window and asks me to select a certificate but i don't see any certificate in it. I am able to login to the forum using firefox, can some guide me how to go about this?

I just posted exactly the same problem but have't solved it yet. It is of course pretty weird that a free program like Firefox does the job wheres a paid product like Apple with Safari has problems. I keep searching for Safari did it very fine in the past for me. I suspect it is somewhere in the preferences.

SAP Forums keeps going down

Why does SAP Forums keep going down? It seems that it goes down almost everyday for a short while. Will we have to just accept this or will the situation eventually improve? Doesn't this reflect badly on the SAP company?

Hi,
the current version of the forum software behaves indeed not very stable. "Everyday" is of course an exaggeration, and if the forums are down, they are back within minutes.
However, we are of course investigating this to find the root cause. Sorry for any inconvenience.
BTW: The forum software is not from SAP, but by a third party vendor (stand-alone). I mention this not because I want to defend anything, but since I have to read these far-fetched rhetorical questions in the morning, I feel the need to...

To Adobe : Please add point system to this forum like SAP forum

Adding point system to this forum will encourage and
recognize people who is doing good work in this forum.
Add positive and negative point system.
SDN SAP forum is using point system effectively.
It shows who got maximum point this week, who got maximum
point this month, till today who got maximum points.
Points are give by people who ask questions based on correct
answer. If answer is correct, 1 point is awarded.
wrong answer and arrogant answer -1 point.
We need to recognize people who help others. This will be a
good start to make this forum interesting and user friendly.

SAP Forums (Jive) and TREX 7.1 search for content in attachements

I'm trying to find out if and how its possible to set TREX 7.1 up to index content and attachments in Jive forums. I've found a statement saying that portal search dosent work for Forums (EP-COL-APP-FOR).
Does anybody know if this can be done and then how ?
Of course I need a search UI for Forums if the standard one dosent work..
We are talking EP7.0 with Forums 7.00 sp 18.

you can configure TREX to index the forum repository manager and by that search forums, categories, threads and messages.

The idea is not to affect SDN ,but to increase the SAP knowledge among all its users and newcomers and to help each other. Sometimes what i have seen is that people don't have access to SDN(because of several reasons), so they don't get a chance to get involved here. You can find those experts/users at SAPCOOKBOOK forums.

I can't find the rich text button when I post a new thread in the sap forum

I had a EP system witch sp15,and I deploy a sap new forums,but recently I found when I post a new thread,I can't find the" rich text" button and the "plain text"button and the "preview"button,the bold,italics,underline function is invalidate,and I find the IE page has notice "the erroe on page" when my error occured.
eg:when I want to post a new thread,the post page of IE give me a notice "the error on page",I click the notice,find it said:"error:MultiSelector not defined" or "error:MCTabs not defined".
Who can help me?

I know this is an old thread but wanted to post the resolution that I found when I had this problem.
Basically the problem is because the Quicklink is not set properly.
I had to make sure that the Page Quicklink property was set to 'forums'.
I also had to make sure that the Email Settings in the Admin Console had the following property:
'URL for your installation:' had to be set to http://myportalserver.50800/forums.
Hope that helps someone who has the issue sometime.

Some more background to closing the Chester thread. We got complains in the backchannel regarding it. People felt uncomfortable, even uncomfortable to voice their opinion in this thread.
We would like for community members to step forward and voice their discomfort, otherwise we are the bad ones who use our moderator powers to silence voices here and if you don't know about the complains it looks heavy handed.
We also understand that some people don't want the confrontation or being the bad one. We got over 5 complains in a short time. It was a really tough call after all this is the Coffee Corner the forum created to post about SAP peripheral observations and thoughts. You have to admit, that the thread went into the outer orbit of SAP.
We want to keep this place open and welcoming to everyone. We also have to take into account the different sensibilities of the people frequenting this site.

I had posted forums 100 plus but my login id shows only 27 forums and my forum points are 20 points.
Those 20 points also free. so please kindly give solution regarding my problem. I am waiting for your replies.

If Im not wrong, you've posted close to 80 messages in ABAP, General and I've had all of them deleted.
Why?
The reason is that every one of your responses were against threads that were dead and buried. You only keep replying to threads that the Original Postor had asked a long time ago. Meaning, you kept bumping old and inconsequential threads back to the top of the forum.
To stop you from doing this, I've mailed you twice, but neither did you acknowledge the receipt of the mail, nor did you stop your practice of bumping old threads. After this I started unassigning your points. But even that did not stop you from bumping old threads. So as a last ditch attempt to grab your attention, I started deleting your posts on sight.
So as you can see, you've consumed quite a lot Moderatoral time and effort just to get your attention. If only you checked your mails and read the rules, this situation could have been avoided.
Please go through the links provided by Thomas and abide by the Rules of this forum for a better user experience.

i wanna know tat 2 days back i hve around 50 pts those pts are not reflecting in my annual pt / lifetime pt as well as i m cont. posting several ans. n gettting pts but after few moments those earned pts disappears.

I feel this is the key. Sometimes when a user asks a newbie question, you just know that he's not really lazy but is an eager learner. Its ok to help him and show him that the search is the ultimate solution. In such cases, I also help them and encourage them to search.
Coming to users who answer basic questions, I dont report a user for "answering basic question" unless Im sure he's a point-hunter. Its quite easy to differentiate a point-hunter from a earnest helper IMO.

SAP Business One Integration Services Authentication Failed

ALL SAP forum members,
Iam Using SAP Business One 8.81 PL 06, Micorsoft SQL 2008 R2
In SLD B1DI and JDBC, the connections were tested successfully.
Whenever I log into SBO, I am getting "SAP Business One Integration Services Authentication Failed" error message. I did extensive research on all possible SBO documents dating 1 year back especially in B1ic Troubleshooting Document (New and Old) and searched the length of the SBO forums, but I could not a solution.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the B1f package many a time. The integration services we re also restarted many times and the connections were all tested successfully. Firewall, AntiVirus also checked.
In the B1f, in the Monitoring Window, the login is "Ok" but the AuthCheck is "Failed". I checked Authent.Monitor->Authentic Info and I found the following message under Action message "Wrong Usrname and Password".
I debugged and i found again "/com.sap.b1i.vplatform.scenarios.authen/sap.Xcelsius/Authenticate_Check.bfd
But could not understand much of it.
But i could go no further. The experts are requested to suggest their solutions, If any, to me as Iam stuck in this phase for the last 3 week
I hope some experts will guide me over this issue

And frankly speaking i dont know how it was solved. I have not uninstall, install ,not even i had restarted the server also.
only change i did in SLD >> Maintainance >>> cfg Runtime >>>> Put server IP address instead of server Name and restarted the services.

Crystal report error in SAP

I have linked my first Crystal report into SAP (2007A), but when I try to run it I get an error.
Msg header "SAP Crystal AddOn"....Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, Version = 12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I searched the SAP forums, but found nothing regarding this error. Anybody have an idea how to fix? I can't see my Crystal report. Does the report need to be stored in a specific location for it to be called from SAP? I was able to browse to it when I setup the link in SAP.

Integrate the Crystal Reports 2008 SP1 with SAP R/3

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to integrate Crystal Reports with the SAP R/3 . I'm new with this kind of integration and need help because I need to create a report based on the R/3 data.
I have read some posts from this forum especially on the integration kits - SAP forum but still don't have any idea on how to do it?
I already installed the BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 and also Crystal Reports 2008 SP1. I also download the Integration Kits -SAP installer from the SAP Marketplace but when I tried to installed it, I get stuck because it need information for BW publisher.
As for your information, we don't use any BW server because we only use R/3.
Can anyone help me where to start on this integration?

You're right regarding the transport files. My basis team able to transport that file but when I try again to connect from Crystal Report to R/3, it come out with other error like " Connect to SAP gateway failed" and " partner 202.171.46.161 :3300 not reached"
What I did were :
a) Click on blank report
b) Create New Connection
c) SAP Tables, Cluster
Did I do any wrong here because the error cameout after I did all the step above ? When I look out on the error, it seems like it need to use port 3300. Is there any specific port required for the integration? This is because if the integration through SAPGui, it should used port 3200 and if go direct using SAPRouter, it will use port 3299.
Really need your expertise here or any document that I can refer because the standard document for integration kit for SAP did not mention anything about the port.
