Graphic card problem maybe? Since when I have changed the hard drive to my macbook pro and I installed all the new softwares, my mac is very slow and the screen gives crazy pictures, could maybe be the graphic card, does anybody have experienced this?
after a restart it works for a time, but always slow. I went to the Applestore this afternoon and the made a check and said it would be the logicboard and they would have to change it for CHF 600 and it would be ready in 10 - 15 days

Hi @Fodi
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Ok, I understand that you are trying to install drivers for your graphics adapter and the one built in to your cpu.
In reality you do not need to install the separate drivers. It is covered by the main driver for your graphics adapter when there is both an integrated and discrete gpu.
As to the Error 43 - please see this page: Expand Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
Since you have tried several times you may need to remove both drivers and restart the system and let the os find the built-in graphics, before installing the driver for the AMD device.
All the various drivers for this notebook that have been HP customized can be found here:

Yes, it indeed boggles the mind. I'm of course referring to the fact that your post concerns Verizon Wireless products and services. This forum is dedicated exclusively to Verizon Communications services. As you probably know, Verizon Wireless and Verizon Communications operate as separate companies.
If you need help for a Verizon wireless product or service, it's best to direct questions to the Verizon Wireless forums. You can reach them by clicking on "Wireless" (either here or at the top of the page).

HP Pavilion G4 1003-TX Graphic Card Problem
Hello... I have HP pavilion G4 1003TX laptop which cureently having graphic card problem. Technician at my place said that's caused by the solder connection on my Radeon graphic card. He said it can be repaired, but the same problem will happen again soon unless i replaced my graphic card with new one.
In my laptop, i have Radeon and Intel graphic card which i can switch freely. My question is, if i change from my Radeon to my Intel graphic card, is my graphic card problem solved? Is my laptop still will not last long unless i buy new graphic card?
Please help me if you know the answer. Thanks
This question was solved.
View Solution. So my laptop will not start after i turned it on. The technician said it because some solder connection on the graphic card so it need to be resoldered. He warn me that the same problem will happen again soon since it's sign that my VGA card will dead. After he resoldered, my laptop can work normally for 3 months. Now, after 3 months, my laptop can't start again just like before. The technician said it because of solder connection of my VGA card again.
So, since my laptop has Intel and Radeon VGA card that i can switch, is switching my VGA card form Radeon to Intel will solve my Radeon VGA card dead problem? Will my laptop can work normally if i switch my VGA card to Intel? -
My mother-in-law's MacBook Pro 13 (m2009) Mail (4.6) with OS 10.6.8 shows several
photo attachments with discoloration, distortion (jagged lines, splotches of color, etc.).
Could it be a graphics card problem?
Or a bad unpacking of attachments over poor WiFi/Internet?
If anyone has an idea, I'd appreciate your help.
Thanks from Japan!
DanPlease describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The better your description, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup. -
my laptop screen has gone blank probably due to graphic card problem.i need to back up my content as i have bought a new mac and do not intend on repairing the old one. please help

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1661

If you are buying a new mac, Apple will do the migration for you, I would let them do it.
If you have an external monitor, I would try to do a data backup before doing anything.
Could also be your drive has already failed, or logic card. Again I would take it the Apple store, and have them deal with it since you bought a new Mac, they would do this for free, and the shoulder the responsibility.
Hoe this helps. -
Is anyone still having discrete graphics card problems after replacement
Is anyone still having discrete graphics card problems after replacement?
Macbook Pro eligible for replacement through Apple program.
Submitted my computer 2 days before program came into effect.
They replaced card or logic board with same original model: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB
Issued me a refund check for my repair.
Seems to have some noticeable issues, fan running more than usual again, and temporary graphic lines,
but disappear too fast before a screen dump...
Is anyone who has participated in the replacement program received a different graphic card for
Model Macbook Pro 17" (late 2011)
Thank you for the reply.Unfortunately I have yet to call AppleCare because I am on a project for 3 weeks and cannot be without my laptop during that period....
Until that time I am trying to figure out what I can do to protect the Palm Rest/Mouse Pad area of my Macbook once they either fix it or give me a new one. Has anyone had any experience with either of these products that can provide some input as to whether they are good or bad?

Question about Graphics Cards for Adobe and more
Hello, for technical people I'll start by listing some relevant computer info: Asus P9x79Pro Motherboard . Nvidia Quadro 4000 2GB . Windows 7 . Adobe CS6
I have a workstation PC and have been considering ways to improve it. I'm pretty happy with both Memory and Processor, so now I'm looking at the Graphics Card. I got the Quadro specifically because it was listed on Premiere's list of Mercury Accelerated Playback cards. I have no real issues with it, but I'm wondering if I'm getting everything I can out of it. I also use Resolve often and occasionally Maya, but not often. Sometimes these other programs feel sluggish. I'd like a set up that is most optimal for Adobe PPro and AE, but is also good for Resolve. I'm less worries about Maya.
My motherboard can support 4 GPU's, but I've never had more than 1 before. I'm curious how to go about it. What sort of advantages will I get with a second GPU, how will this help me? Since I have a Quadro, should I get another Quadro? Should I run them SLI or run them independently? I've also been looking at the GTX Series, would those be preferable? If so, how should I set up my system, run monitors off 1 and use the other as a GPU boost? I really don't know enough about multi-GPU set ups, and I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for, so any and all help is appreciated.

Advices about graphic card choice (best supported in Arch) ?
Hello,
I was running a desktop with Arch and a nVidia 7900GS but recently, my 7900GS died
So I was looking for a new cheap graphic card who could decode 1080p and who have an HDMI port.
Somebody told me that the AMD HD 5450 could be a good choice, or the upcoming nVidia GT 430 could be a nice choice too
But what about the support of theses new hardware in Archlinux ?
Which of theses have the best drivers ? the best performances under Arch ?
Thank you for your support

Not the latest Optimus based cards though, nvidia have just as much as said "we won't support this on Linux in the foreseeable future", leaving purchasers of such laptops with a deadweight which only pulls power. All rendering is done through the Intel card.... -
Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10X
Hi - new to this but really hacked off so hopefully someone can help me.!
I bought a Equium L40 - 10X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and speaking to 'an expert' at my local pcworld.
However, I think the graphics card is not good enough to support the games I have got - Medal of Honour Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a nVidia graphics card as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.
Problems I am experiencing include loss of graphics and stuttering during play.
Can I upgrade to an nVidia graphics card or is the one I have got sufficient but I just need to change some settings?
Haven't got a clue really, so help would be much appreciated!> I bought a Equium L40 - 10X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and speaking to 'an expert' at my local pcworld.
Either you was not clear enough or the expert from pcworld have provided the wrong information and wrong advice.
Fact is that the Intel shared GPU was not really designed to play the newest games.
The shared graphic card is simply not powerful enough to run such games smoothly!
> Can I upgrade to an nVidia graphics card or is the one I have got sufficient but I just need to change some settings?
NO, this is not possible because the notebooks graphic cards are fixed on the board and cannot be removed. -

Maybe a bug about Graphic Card?
macbook pro 15-inch, Mid 2010
graphics is NVIDIA 330M
I have switch automating graphics.
When i change the graphics(use the nvidia card), the window's color is a little blue. But it is normal when intel card.
Is this a bug in Mountain Lion?
It has last long from DP2.Greetings,
I've accidentaly found a way to fix this, or at least I think i did...
0.-Make sure every app is closed (if not, step 6 will fail).
1.- install gfxcard status from codekrieger.
2.- choose Discreet graphics only.
3.- enter system preferences.
4.-enter energy saver. (As you will notice the legen for automatic switching dissapears and the message found in older macbooks appears, which lets you choose which graphics card to use).
5.-Choose better battery life.
6.-Reboot.
7.-Voila the problem is gone.
I do not know why this works, but ive tried it on several Macs and it has worked on all of them, if you later do a NVRAM Reset, you will need to re-do the procedure, also if you re-install mountain lion, you will need to do it all over again...
Hopes this Helps.
Thanks... -
Sattelite 1410-question about Graphic Card
I've bought a Sattelite 1410-401 and i'm having quite some troubles with my graphic card, with moving images i can see black spots flickering through the image (no problems with stills however) ( i have downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers) wich is pretty annoying.
I'm also annoyed by the fact this graphic card doesn't support Pixel shader and that it only has 16MB RAM (not shared) my question(s) is(/are): Is there a way to get rid of those pesky black pixels and is there a way to replace or upgrade my video card?Hello
I dont think that the black spots are a fault of a graphic card.
You say that you use the nVidia graphic driver. This is not correct. You should use the original Toshiba graphic driver or this unit. This you can find on the Toshiba website. Sometimes for watching some avi or mpeg files your need a different codex. You can find many informtions about this theme.
Furthermore you can change primary parts (memory, hdd) on you unit but its impossible to replace the graphic card.
