Hi there, can my daughter's ipod be located if her device shares my account (I am connected to icloud) but her ipod is not connected to the icloud??
What kind of iPod is it?
I am assuming it's a fairly recent iPod Touch running iOS 5. I am not certain about earler versions.
Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your Apple ID and password - probably the same as the one used to log into this help forum.
Then click the big green "find my iPhone" icon. Despite the name it is intended to locate all your devices, not just iPhones. If you enabled Location Services it will appear on the upper left. When the iPod connects to a wireless network, it will show its location (assuming the wireless network's location is known - that's another story altogether).
From there you can choose to send a message, play a sound, remotely lock it, or even wipe its memory.

Can anyone tell me how to make make Garageband ignore HDMI as an audio output-device on a 2013 Mac mini i7 using an Apogee jam as an input for bass and a Behringer USB DAC with RCA audio output? Now it keeps on prompting me: Do you want want to use the HDMI device (monitor without audio) for audio output? Grtz T.I think the easiest way to do this is to have the EyeTV app running in one user account and sent via HDMI to the TV, and use a separate user account for Screen Sharing. Both logins can be active at the same time and with Lion you can connect via screen sharing to which ever login you need.
With regards to the Mac video resolution changing, when it is not the current input on your AV receiver. This is 'normal', if the Mac sees no signal it drops down the a lower level. What you need is to buy a HDMI Detective Plus which tricks the Mac in to always seeing a signal and hence it will not drop down the resolution. See http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=8005
The Mac mini does have an IR receiver. This can be used with the EyeTV app, iTunes, and similar. Yes I believe EyeTV would run for prolonged periods quite happily, it is has been around for a long time and had most of the rough edges polished off. However one issue you will have to deal with is that it does not automatically update its program guide data. For this you might have to write or modify an AppleScript. Elgato support or their user forums will be a lot of help.
You can set EyeTV to convert recordings to an iTunes (Apple TV) compatible format and then delete them from EyeTV.
The HDMI Detective should solve your handshaking problems. -

When i tried to create a PO then error "Item category S can only be used with account assignment category" is coming
for my plant and material.
Could you please tell me where i have to maintain the setting of account assignement for a plant or material.
In TA:-OMG0 item catergory S is maintained for a account assignement F but still this issue is coming.
I think there is a problem in plant or a material.
Please help me.

How you are creating PO ,so that you have error "Item category S can only be used with account assignment category"
Check what t.code used for your PO creation and what document type used for your PO creation- which result defaulting item category S which in turn asking for with account assignment category.
Cross check transaction variant or screen variant used for your PO creation!

I reset the password. As you instructed, but that was not enough to solve the problem.
To solve the problem I also did the following:
For my user name I included @me.com., but I'm not sure that made any difference.
I think the key to solving this was that I pushed past the error I got on the Outgoing Mail Server window. I wasn't sure I should do that but I was desperate:
Next I got this window and checked SSL.
That was it!
Finally I went into account preferences and checked the outgoing mail server settings to be sure the server port was correct. It was.

I believe they discontinued all mobile.me accounts yesterday. It's been in the planning for a long time with lots of notification. I believe you can still get access to the e-mail from Tiger but you'd need to browse past discussions on this forum for details on how.

Item category K cannot be used with an account assignment as the goods are not physically used in the company. The stock is stilla consignment stock and belongs to vendor. Using an account assignment will book the cost in the company's expenses.
use an account assignment if required when you transfer from consignment to own stock.

MMy biggest problem is both iPhone and iPad when I set up email account uses IMAP automatically. So I really have no choice. Since IMAP doesnot allow downloading email to device, I have to leave all restates on mail server. This really concerns me.

When using Connection Doctor to see what is could be causing the issue, look for the red dots to let you know what is wrong. Then all you have to do is correct that information. You can double click on the section that is giving you issue and it will take you there. Most issues could be just password being entered incorrectly. If a second-hand iOS device has been 'Activation locked' then only the previous owner can unlock it, either by providing you with the account ID and password, or by removing it from his list of devices (as he should have done before selling it) - please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
If you are unable to contact him to do this then I'm afraid you will not be able to use the device - there is no other way of unlocking it at all. Apple cannot unlock it for you.
You should if possible return it to wherever you bought it and ask for a refund as in this event the device is completely useless. -

Do you mean that you were using the Apple ID which is your ex-MobileMe address? It's still an Apple ID, even though MobileMe itself is dead, and there's nothing to stop you from using it as an ID with Support, or logging in here or in iTunes with it. You should make sure you have a functioning non-Apple email address associated with it.
Did you migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud before 1 August last? If so, you can set up an iCloud account using it, or if you have already set up a new and separate iCloud account you can still log in with it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars so that it runs alongside your iCloud account.
If you didn't migrate you can still reactivate the address the same way.
Anything where you've logged in with the ex-MobileMe address, such as support for something you registered using it or a server such as iTunes, will need to continue using it. -
I'm getting the grey screen during start up and can't boot the computer - MacBook Pro with lion.
I did a command r after doing some research but got nervous that it would automatically wipe my hard drive and reinstall OS.
I was nervous because it asked me for language for software use before any options were presented (such as repair via disk utility). Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

Do you mean through iCloud? You need to go to settings > iCloud and "delete account" and then sign in with the newly named account. You'll want to do similar for facetime, messages, and store.
