Hi there, what is wrong if my iTunes account wont recognize my iPod or iPhone?
I relly need some help, I can't seem to get my iTunes account to recognize my devices...what can I do?

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Without providing details on exactly what you did it is hard to provide an answer. It's like me saying, "This chocolate cake I made tastes wrong," but not providing the recipe for review. Maybe it was the garlic in that particular recipe.
If iTunes is successfully using a previous library which you rename to iTunes Library.itl then that is now the current library.
Have you restarted your computer and then tried emptying the trash? -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I've just bought an iPhone 3GS (this is my first iPhone, so everything is new to me). I also own an iPhone video, which I bought a couple of years ago. My question is, do I need to set up two different iTunes accounts (i.e. a new a/c for my iPhone, separately from the a/c I've been using for my iPod video)? I cannot imagine using the same account for two different devices... maybe it's possible, I don't know. I have lots of podcast downloads and also movies on my iPod video account. I'm afraid of messing it up. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!I have one account and an iPhone, an iPod Touch, and 4 other iPods. iTunes recognizes each as a separate device and I can select the sync options I want for each. I don't do any manual management. I select the playlists I want on each device.

My email won't send from my iPad. It says the server rejects it almost immediately I press the send email button, although there is nothing wrong with my email account when sending from my laptop or iphone. Thank you for your help . The account used to work perfectly until recently, after receiving support from the provider, I deleted the account now I am trying to set the account again.
After putting in the first details (name, email, description) Cannot send mail the password or username for "mail.bigpond.com" is incorrect. I would expect this because the information I put in is not for Bigpond. So I press ok & I change the outgoing server (this is the one that is incorrectly labelled bigpond) to aapt, then I press save.
Then it says "verifying" but comes up with Cannot connect using SSL do you want to try setting up the account without SSL. I press yes.
Then I get the message "the POP server "mail.aapt.net.au" is not responding. Check your network connection & that you entered the correct information in the incoming mail server. (I ahve already checked this with aapt & it is correct. -
Is there a way to transfer the iTunes application to my PC using my iPhone? My PC has no means of connecting to the Internet and I do not wish to pay for Internet tethering for a one time use. I don't have the app on my computer and I simply wish to have it on there to actually be able to transfer my files.

My mac book wont recognize my ipod. My Ipod will make the initial connected sound saying its charging but otherwise theres no way of finding the Ipod anywhere on the computer or Itunes.
