Please help me.Recommendation 1: Use a VM for this. It's essentially a giant C.F. to do this with native booting, and is potentially fragile.
But if you're going to ignore that and do this anyway, realizing that it can break anytime in particular with OS upgrades, and that it's very difficult to impossible to resize the three volumes once you've installed the systems:
1. create three partitions, setting each to be the size for OS X copy 1, copy 2, and Windows respectively. The Windows partition needs to be set to MS-DOS format (actually FAT32) which later in the Windows installer you'll reformat as NTFS. Do not use Boot Camp Assistant to resize/partition the disk, it simply won't work for this use case.
2. install OS X copy 1
3. install OS X copy 3
4. Use gdisk (available at sourceforge) which is a command line only application, to create a new hybrid MBR adding only the last partition (Windows) to the hybrid MBR and setting it to be bootable. As a concequence you will not be able to see/share either OS X volume from within Windows. The Windows NTFS volume will be visible from within OS X.
5. Install Windows to the only partition its installer should see (confirm size), you'll need to format it NTFS first, and I suggest using the fast format option if available. -

Two way:
- If they are in the calender ap/program on the computer just sync them from there back to the iPod.
- Restore the iPod from backup. Make sure that autosyncing is off otherwise, when you connect the iPod to the computer iTunes will backup the iPod without the contacts. To turnoff go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices anbd change the box that says: Prevent iPods....syncing". -
How can i get lost pics and contacts
Im very sad i just had a baby and all my pics from birth were on my phone Nd i plugged it into comp for the first time and it restored it and i lost everything and it transported the stuff from my old phone to the new one. As well as my contacts so i lost alot

No backup = No recovery. There are no methods available to non-law enforcement or government agences that can undelete or recove iOS data not backed up. -
My grandfather recently passed away. I have photos of our last moments together and i went to upload them to computer and Iphone says library rebuilding. I cant see the photos on the harddrive or anything. I am really nervous I lost these i had a video and everything I am really lost for words.....if anyone can give me any help on how to fix this i read something saying get the Iphone browers but it wont install.
Image Capture will only import photos and videos from the camera roll, not from photo stream. In order to import them with Image Capture, you would first need to save the photo steam photos to his camera roll by opening his my photo stream album, tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll. You can then import them with Image Capture. After doing so, delete them from his camera roll by opening his camera roll, tap Edit, tap the photos you want to delete, then tap Delete.
If you did this carefully, he would never know. The risk is that you accidently left one or more photo stream photos in his camera roll and he noticed it.
Before doing this, check to see if the photo stream photos are already in his camera roll. The may be as all photo stream photos originate from the camera roll. Unless he subsequently deleted them, they would still be there and could be imported with Image Capture without needing to change anything on his phone. -
Iphone3gs now not working after i have erased all settings and contacts please help
i have just erased all contacts and settings as i have just brought my iphone from a friend so did not need to backup anything on my computer. it then went blank and then turned on by it self with a picture of the iphone USB with a arrow point to a itunes symbol, and at the bottom it says slide for emergency. so can not get on to my phone at all.. Help please
You need to connect it to iTunes and reactivate it.

Contacts should already be at iCloud.com if you have already set up iCloud sync services. Photos in Photostream can be viewed on a computer using the same iCloud account, but not at iCloud.com.
If you haven't already set up iCloud on your phone you won't be able to do so now you have lost it. -

I was in the middle of installing the new update using the wifi at a local restaurant when I lost the wifi signal and my iPhone shut down, and now I can't get into the phone. I only get the iTunes logo with the cable pic. What are my options now?
Your only option is to connect your iPhone to your computer via USB (as the diagram indicates) and restore using iTunes.

click on the contact which you want to integrate, click the edit button scroll down u will find a option called link contacts use it to link it to the duplicate contact

I got a new iPhone today. Everything is backed up on the cloud. I was able to down loud from my iTunes. I got my Music but I rented two movies I didn't get to watch. I can't find them to down loud. Of I have to pay to rent them again ??
Does the original library file still exist on the computer? Hopefully when creating the new library it was done in a seperate folder as I do not believe iTunes allows for two library files in the same location.

D2D2T where to put the middle D (on the XSan).
Hi all, for all of those implementing D2D2T what is the datastore used for the middle D.
Assuming the first D is data sitting on your XSan.
Assuming the final T is some kind of tape (library) device.
Where do you build your temporary backup/archive?
We were first thinking (see other posts )of making a virtual tape library on a part of our XSan but we now get some advice to put it on a direct attached raid (attached to the backup server that is).
Anyone want to share their thoughts and experiences.
PeterI do have a nice harddrive but my projects are huge. What is the backupfile and why is the size not big? It doesn't include the project just where everything is in the project?
I am using one of the fastest firewire 800 drives on the market with a brand new macbook pro with an ssd in it. It's not a thunderbolt drive but I get no lag. And I usually don't even convert my Canon 5D Mark iii footage to prores. I do however have to convert my go pro 3+ black footage or it lags.
I understood the old final cut. I'm just having a harder time with the changes.
When I backup my project, which I backup to another external drive, what do I do to do that? Just drag it? Used to, I did not drag it.
Before this update on final cut pro x, the old way, it would let me right click on the project and save it with it's included events to the other harddrive to back it up.
How does one go about that now? Or is it safe to just drag it? -

Ok. so I updated to iOS 5. Downloaded it from iTunes and all. But in the middle of installing the iOS, i fell asleep. not knowing my computer was at a low battery charge my computer shut down. I did a DFU already and it worked but i'm not sure if it the os is complete. Is It??
Restore to factory settings. That will use the latest iOS and then restore from a backup.
Never, never, never attempt an update/upgrade on any portable computer device without plugging it into its AC charger. -
