  • Allow Nokia suite to support Nokia 301

going further is Nokia Suite supports Nokia 301 to sync contact and message?

No. There is basically no further development planned for Nokia Suite so it will not support any products launched in 2013 and going forward. This is described also in this FAQ: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141211
For connecting your phone to PC, you can use Nokia Connectivity cable driver.
One workaround for syncing contacts would be via Mail For Exchange: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141748

  • N95 Better Battery by NOKIA?

Well people basically the N91 had a battery which was BL-5C but was at 900mAh. Since the battery fault & Nokia were replacing battery of BL-5C the new version is BL-5C at 1020mAH giving more battery power.
However why dont Nokia give valued N95 customers a better battery with more power? It had been done to the BL-5C so i dont see any problems with N95 users getting a FREE upgrade to a better battery life by Nokia.
So i think N95 users should get this done by Nokia for FREE just by giving details (number of ur battery to Nokia) & they should send a FREE batter battery to us.
It can be done so why don't Nokia do this?

  • E6-00 Nokia Battery Monitor 3.0

Since upgrading my phone to 'Belle', I've noticed there is no longer a Power Saving feature on it. While it's now easier to switch 3G and WLAN on or off and save the battery that way, there's no way to decrease screen brightness or switch off the torch feauture. Also the screen unlock button works half the time and the camera in silent mode now manages to wake my baby with a loud shutter click, but that's just niggles. What really bothers me is how Nokia Battery Monitor 3.0 is available for all the Symbian Belle models, but not the E6-00?! There's more programs out there that work fine on my C7, but can't be downloaded onto the E6-00 via the phone or OVI. I am a luddite, but I've got to wonder whether it's just because the screen resolution is untested? What other difference is there? Yet if Store and Angry Birds can be displayed on both my C7 and the E6, so can a well written app, especially an essential one like NBM. I don't even care if the app would become almost impossibly tiny or heavy on the scrolling.. So long as I can use it, or even choose it! Why on earth aren't E6 users allowed to download apps such as these? I'll do my own SAT and UAT happily, I'm already signed up to Beta Labs but a bit miffed since Reader and other apps became unavailable for the E6-00 there as well. I cannot believe you offer a phone with all the functionality of the Symbian 3 range, but happily saw one of its legs off. Don't even get me started on BBC iPlayer download support - the BBC's fault perhaps but another reason to get quite fed up.
Rant over. Fair enough if you skipped that. To boil it down: Why is Nokia Battery Manager 3.0 made essential for the E6-00 yet unavailable, and why aren't Store and PC Suite users allowed to download unsupported applications if they're clearly alright for the OS, with every chance they'll either work or not cause damage?

I have the power saving option on my E6 - when the battery's nearly flat I get asked, and I can select it via the ON/OFF switch.
As far as E6-compatibilty of various apps goes, isn't just a case of whether the author can be bothered to accommodate the 640x480 res.?
A man on a Nokia-oriented site said the iPlayer worked fine on his E6 and he has Belle. Users outside the UK get the usual "Your phone is not supported" in gorgeous purple.
The London Underground app worked fine under Anna on My E6, but not under Belle. Glad I've still got my E72 for that, and as a document scanner and close-up camera (IMHO the E6 is vastly superior for 1.5 m to infinity shots abd of course for video. But that's another story...
I'm fairly happy with Belle on my E6, but that may be because I only had Anna for a week or two, one of which I spent in the UK and went through hell trying to roam on a date connection. So I was relieved. I should have been aware before I bought the phone of the screen res being a problem as well as having many advantages. That said, the lack of some apps is annoying to say the least, and Battery Monitor v. 3.0 would be kind of useful.

  • Nokia Has Forsaken the N96 in Asia-Pacific.

Go to the Nokia Asia Pacific support page for the N96 - http://www.nokia-asia.com/get-support-and-software/product-support/nokia-n96 and it's official - Nokia have forsaken this handset.
It's actually quite embarrassing. This page has not changed since December 2008 when firmware version 12.043 came out. And that's been it for Asia Pacific customers. As of today, 31st October 2009, the page still invites you to update to the 'latest' 12.043!!
Meanwhile, the rest of the world has enjoyed firmware releases 21.xxx and now 30.033 (not that it instills me with any confidence that in 30 software versions, Nokia STILL cannot get it right), but this is a downright slap in the face to customers who have paid TOP DOLLAR for this phone (remember, it was the flagship model 12 months ago). It simply isn't good enough, Nokia!
After repeated emails and calls to Nokia, and similar to my service provider, Optus, reporting all the daily crashes, lock-ups and overall SLOWNESS of this phone, I finally took my case to the Telephone Industry Ombudsman (TIO) here in Australia.
I kid you not, within HOURS I had a customer service rep from Optus phoning me to apologise profusely for the lack of support for this phone. Some investigations were made, and Optus, still unable to get any reasonable response from Nokia, offered me an entirely new phone - to my choice - without having to sign up to another plan (I still have 12-months to go on the N96).
So that's it for me everyone! Reading around the forum here I see the N97 is beset with just as much **bleep** as the N96, and so my nice shiny new iPhone 3GS 32GB is on the way. Thanks Optus!!
This N96 is going now where it thoroughly deserves to be - in the bin!! And good riddance!
Needless to say, it is definitely the last Nokia that will ever darken my doorstep. After over 15 years of customer loyalty, I'm off.
See you all over on the iPhone forums?

    Nokia: Connecting People... with iPhones.

I think Optus may have been telling you some porkies.
I had similar experiences with my Vodafone Ireland N95 8gb. I bought it with V12. When V21 was released, I waited a few months and nothing happened so I contacted Vodafone who immediately blamed Nokia, so I contacted Nokia only to be told the firmware update had been sent to Vodafone for their modification and approval. It was up to Vodafone to modify the soft to include their branding nd then return it to Nokia for release. After further frustrating calls to Vodafone, I was finally put through to someone who told me that the update was on his desk and he would get round to it the next week and he did. I got my V21 the next week.
When the next update came along, once again I waited and finally decided to ring when there was no sign of it. Again Vodafone's immediate response was to blame Nokia. However I knew better this time and finally got put through to the correct person again. This time he told me they had no intentions of spending anymore time on updates for the N95 8gb because it was not a popular phone for them and that V21 was stable enough. In other words I am stuck at V21 and still amto this day. Maybe I should contact the ombudsman as well.
I think Optus have not told you the truth and have paid you off with a new phone to keep you quiet. The truth is they can't be bothered working on the update since you could be the only one shouting for it.

  • Video format supported - Nokia N95

    Hi,
Maybe I can be wrong, but I think that I have moved a MPEG video into Nokia N95 and it worked fine. However, I tried to do the same thing with another video file (mpeg) and it didnt work, Nokia N95 didnt recognize the file. I dont know if the reason was the lenght of the file 40mb.
I have some questions about it:
    1) Which video format is supported on N95?
    2) Is there a way to use any format (AVI, MPEG,..) without converting it?
    Thanks.

    Hi brjohnsmith
Unfortunately you are going to need to use a converter although there is a wide choice and you may find this post by el_loco whom is an authority on the subject of use:

  • Is there any alternative battery for Nokia X2-00?

Hi there, I was just wonderin'... is there any alternative battery for Nokia X2? coz BL-C4 battery is a li'l bit short for its lifespan. It could only take a few hours to play some music (through headset/loudspeaker)
    please help, thanks in advance...

    Hi Hanumantji,
Can you provide us your phone model? One possible reason why the phone hangs is that there is not enough memory available to carry out phone functions. You can move your data files from phone to memory card (provided that your phone supports Memory Card). If still the same, you can try to restore the phone to its factory settings as indicated on your manual.

  • How should i share file with other devices such as nokia, blackberry and etc using bluetooth

I want to share  files between other deivce such as nokia but couldnt, could u help me tell how can i share files with other devices???

@AKRBTN: Thanks for the reply and info.
That is a solution, but it really isn't viable.
It is sad that apple refuses to support this.
A simple example: Sitting somewhere with no signal and you want to share a file (photo) with your colleague or friend, who happens to be right next to you.
Or even if there is signal and you don't want to be paying fees or data charges.
Or you may be in a rehearsal studio and need to share that very important file and have no time to go outside and get signal and try to send the file, which then everyone else has to go outside and catch the signal and pay fees.
Anyway, I see that this is a dead end with apple, so I guess I will be back to carrying 2 phones around again.
    Peace,
    SB

  • Google not supporting Nokia

    Is this really the true?
I have a Nokia 700 (which isn't that old) with Symbian Bell.
Surfing the internet I understand that Google no long support Nokia since January 2013
and no connection from Nokia Belle to Google accounts/gmail for email/contacts/calender sync
    can be established.
The reason was the withdrawal of support of "activesync" - but I see no other alternative,
so the link fully terminated, as neither Nokia or other are supplying a solutation.
    What a mess :-(
Anyone knows if something is being done (beside buying another mobil.... I can garantee that I will leave Nokia for good, if they are not dealing with this quickly)

  • Nokia 6680 Support..!

    Hi, Everybody...
I have Nokia 6680 mobile, as i read it production date is 2005, and nokia corporation stopped production of it....
*Now i have some question about its support, and which thing can i do in many situations to renew it, here is it:
1- can i get updates for software for 6680 by nokia suite or PC suite??
2- if nokia didnt realease updates for it, can i download that old updates and install it by my computer??
3- its memory card is (MMC card), in my country i didnt found this type of memory, is that in all other countrys also??
4- is there any new mobiles use the same type of this card memory type, so i can find it??
5- if i have some problems in my 6680 mobile, can i take it to nokia care point??!! or they will say that there is no support for it now??
6- is there any type of support for it in the nokia sites??
7- is nokia still sell its accessories like handfree or memories cards or other in nokia stores???
8- what is other things can i do for my 6680 to (Refresh) it ?!!

    Moron wrote:

Yes. However, that is not your question: Whether you get the latest version, depends on your Nokia Product Code. Furthermore, the last version was released in 2005.
    Moron wrote:

    Yes, Nokia Software Recovery Tool.
    Moron wrote:

No, here, MMCmobile is still available on eBay, second-hand phone shops and camera shops.

Not aware of, Nokia changed to microSD in 2007.

    Cannot speak for Nokia Care.

    What are you looking for?

Cannot comment because I am not aware of any Nokia Store worldwide anymore. Sometimes, genuine Nokia Care Centre do have old accessories. Nevertheless, they come at a price for those who really care. By the way, I recommend the Nokia AD-45 because with that you can attach any earphone you like.

Sell it as long as it works (and gives) money and move on to a Nokia E52.

  • Extended battery for Nokia Lumia 822

Hello everyone, I have a question concerning the extended battery for the NL 822.  Are there any other batteries besides the one sold by Mugen? (3800 mah).  This one seems too big.
    Thanks

Not sure what "This one" means, but I think you are talking about HLI-822XL.
You might want to consider getting a spare Nokia battery (BP-4W).
I think Mugen might humpback the battery door, so it doesn't matter how thick their battery is if they give you a new door that bows around it. However, if wireless (Qi) charging is important to you, you might want to investigate it their new battery door supports that.
