Hidden Captions appearing when Published CP5.5

Has anyone else run into this problem? I have text captions that are hidden on screen and I keep them turned off, but they appear when I publish the file. Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,
Welcome to Adobe Community. Please accept my apologies for the confusion.
I would like to inform you that the Show/Hide option on the Timeline is a part of the workflow and is not intended for the published outputs. That is there if you want to hide the objects from your slides while you are working with them. If you want to hide the captions from the output, you need to deselect the Visible option under that object's properties on the right pane.

The navigation menu does not appear when published to a file. My 12 photos are also absent as well, just as if they wernt added.
I have tried rebuilding the site but the same problem appears. Everything else seems perfect up to tha publidhed file.

Help me - imported captions disappear when published!

Help! I published my Captivate movie as an .exe file.
To create it, I had imported several slides from two other
Captivate files. Both of these files run fine. I imported the
slides and objects, and everything shows up in the "final" .cp
file. However, after I saved it, and upon publishing it, NONE of
the captions appear!
They are in the .cp file - I swear! I tried manipulating them
to the front, I checked the timing of my buttons - nothing. I even
tried just importing the objects from the files all over again. The
graphics import fine, but again, my captions don't appear, even
though they show up in the .cp file!
What's going on????

Help with muse - deleted pages appearing when published

Hi there!
I published my website through Muse, then later in design mode deleted certain pages, and then re-published the website. Problem is, the old pages are still published, and appearing in search results and through links in my page.
Are you able to help please? Is there a setting I tick when publishing the site to avoid this?

Aside - Where are you Publishing to? Is it to the Adobe BC host?
Try a Export to HTML then look in that folder and see if the deleted xxxxx.html files are listed.
I just tested a site with 2 pages - Note .html files in exported folder >>
Then I deleted the untitled-4.html - Re-exported - and >>
Note - untitled has been deleted.

Image does not appear when publishing...does it matter where you import audio?

I have an image on my slide and when I preview the slide it appears correctly, when I hit F10 to preview next 5 sldies or publish file it does not appear. I have imported audio to the slide not to an object. I am wondering if this matters? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cant really explain this one, but the visible check box was checked... I then unchecked it and checked it again, now it seems to be working.....
Weird, but at least it is working.

Images not appearing when publishing on web

Hi,
I have created a Flash object which uses an xml to read the image path and few other attributes. I could successfully generate the swf and publish (html) the object.
When I view menu.html, independently in a browser it works fine. However, when I embed this, generated html (menu.html), in the home page of another website(homepage.html), it breaks. The images are not displayed.
All of the templates - config.xml, menu.fla, menu.swf, menu.html & homepage.html (of the other website) are all in the same folder.
Any suggestion.

Hey, I could make the images appear now....
The xml was passing absolute path. So when I generated the html from Flash (file/publish) and opened this html in a browser it was working file. However, when this html was embeded in another html it broke.
Using Relative path, in the xml works.
Now the images are taking 2 - 3 seconds to load. It is slow. Is there any way (in Flash) to cache the images once they are loaded for the first time.
Any suggestions.

Buttons not appearing when published

Hi there,
I have never had this problem before with RoboHelp. I work as
a contractor in many different companies and I can't say that
RoboHelp is always setup and configured the same way each time.
I am currently using version 5.0.2 and I am using a skin that
I have modified with the company colours etc. When I preview the
skin, it all looks fine, but when I generate/publish the previous,
next, sync and close buttons above the contents do not appear.
Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix this. Like I
said, it's never happened to me before on any other RoboHelp
projects. Thanks.

I attempted to allude to this in the article. Essentially,
here is how you coax them to show. For the Sync TOC button, if you
expand the Single Source Layouts pseudo folder, then right-click
the WebHelp layout and choose properties from the context menu, you
should see several dialogs. Click the Next > button and look at
the "Synchronize TOC" option. To the right of this option is a
drop-down. If you see "Automatically" listed there, this means the
Sync TOC icon will not appear in the mini toolbar. So to coax it to
show, change Automatically to Manually.
The close button is a bit of a mystery. I've never known it
not to be present. This makes me wonder what browser and version
you may be using.

Embedded swf won't appear when published to website

Looking for help, hoping someone knows this problem.
I recently updated a webpage with new flash files in Dreamweaver CS3 and usually it goes smooth, however this update ,when uploaded,the .swf files don't appear at all. The files are in the public folder and should be visible.
I have attached the webpage. The code shows their is a flash file below the writing, but does not show

Most likely missing some files.. probably the .js file used for Flash detection
../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js
most likely pathed wrong.... since it doesn't work.
But really, NONE of that AC_Run cra# is needed to display Flash!

That's the entire Web page .... and the only code needed to display that .swf on a Web page. Of course once you get it to display correctly, then you can add it to your full Web page.

Muse buttons appear garbled when published to BC. Files look fine when exported to html.

See attached. BC publishing can not be trusted. This has happened several times.

Why does this forum miniaturize attached images so you can't see the detail? See attached enlargement. This only appears when published to BC. Ok when exported to html. Can't trust BC

Incorrect format when published to .mac but ok published to folder

Problems started after updating iWeb to 1.1.1.
Problems are 1) incorrect visited and unvisited links and 2) incorrect placement.

I can't seem to reproduce the bold/highlighted link thing over here on my end. I have loaded your page on my Safari as well as on a PC using IE and FireFox. All looks okay.
Perhaps try emptying your browser cache and reload the page. Maybe this will clear some cobwebs and let you see the page properly. Good luck!

Anybody know why the vertical scoll indicators appear in published android apps?

I have a fairly robust folio published to my native android app. And I noticed that most of it looks great, good job guys, however I get my vertical scroll indicators appearing in ALL my scrollable frames. I have them all set to hide indicator, yet they appear when published. Is this a bug? anyone reported this yet? Please let me know if there is something I did or can do to fix it, I am ready to submit the folio for approval... thanks guys.

This was a bug fixed in the latest version. Can you go into the viewer that is working, select the menu-->about and tell me what is the version? Also, the same thing in the one that isn't working?

Slide screen appearance changes when Publishing

A very curious problem:
When I publish my Captivate file, some of the boxes or areas do not properly draw [as shown in the snapshot]. I have gone into the Library and confirmed the images are clean/accurate and do not have the faults that appear upon publishing. There are no hidden callouts or artifacts on the timeline. I have changed frame rates, published to Flash Players 7-10, and tried different resolution and quality settings, all to the same result (well, sometimes it fixed one or two instances of the problem, but the entire published item still has redraw problems.) I can only assume there is something happening in the logic when I go to Publish. Any suggestions?

I believe this is a common issue if you are viewing the output at a different size than you captured it. If you recorded at 800x600, are you also viewing at the same size? If not, this is probably why.
How did you record? Is this a totally full motion capture or did you record in Slide-by-slide mode?

Timeline problems with caption boxes when viewing and publishing

Hello,
I have several captions within one frame and am adjusting the timeline so they do not all appear at once. When I do this and preview or publish I can only see the first caption - the second/third does not preview or publish. However if I change the timeline so all captions appear at they are visible when previewing and publishing.
I would greatly appreciate some help with this.

You need to adjust the pause point of your Button object. At least I think it's a Button. Can't tell for certain because I'm in the midst of a visual migraine and it's affecting my vision. I suppose it might be a Text Entry Box. They look the same on the Timeline.

How do you scroll up albums in iTunes 11? There isn't a scroll bar on the right side. I know it appears when you minimize the screen, but it is hidden on my machine. Running Dell XPS 15z i7 w/ Win 7.

In iTunes 11, there is no scroll bar in full page Albums view. It does appear when you minimize the screen, but on my computer, the scroll is hidden and the resizing of the screen does not work. Is there a fix? Also, how do you sort tracks/songs in Album view? When I import lengthy audiobooks, the inability to sort through hundreds of tracks is really ticking me off. Again, is there a fix?
Apple... Before you tell me all the great features in iTunes 11, let me just say they are duly noted. But, I would rather have the option to do things on my own, rather than being forced to conform to your techies need to be creative. I don't use Genius or Playlists, so the ability to sort in them is useless to me.

It's been many, many years since I don't do dual boot anymore. Don't find the reason to do it, either. Different kinds of virtualization should be enough. Anyway...
