Hidden column in the ADF table

Is there any way to make a collumn as hidden?
I would like use it to store recordId values and get selected record id programmatically.

hah, they aren't completely useless.
TableColumn[] tcA = new TableColumn[2];
tcA[0] = jTable1.getColumnModel().getColumn(x);
tcA[1] = jTable1.getColumnModel().getColumn(y);
jTable1.removeColumn(tcA[0]);
jTable1.removeColumn(tcA[1]);
jTable1.addColumn(tcA[0]);
jTable1.addColumn(tcA[1]);
if you're hiding the columns, and not bringing them back why don't you just do:
panelBinding.findIteratorBinding("WhateverIterator").getCurrentRow().getAttribute("Column") to find whatever you need.

  • Issue with the last column stretching in ADF table

    There is an issue wherein when  I try stretching the last column of the ADF table to reduce its width it does stretch. But whenever I try stretching it back to this original position it doesn't despite having columnstretching attribute set to multiple and assign widths in percentages to columns . When I set the columnstretching attribute to none, the last column does stretch back and forth but on page load the table does not stretch to its full width despite having styleClass="AFStretchWidth". Now I dont want to be assigning fixed width in pixels to the columns. I would want the last column to stretch back and forth with columnstretching="multiple" and styleClass="AFStretchWidth". I see the same issue on components demo page as well. Tag Guide

    If you are trying that each column gets equally stretched based on the browser, its not possible as adf doesn't supports that.
    If your table is not stretching use styleClass="AFStretchWidth".
    But if all your columns are not stretching you can only try setting column widths + columnStretching property (where you can specify which column to stretch to fill all the spaces)

    You have to put table name in Capital letters
    Like
    SELECT COUNT(1)
      FROM user_tab_columns
    WHERE table_name = 'EMP';
    or
    SELECT COUNT(1)
      FROM user_tab_columns
    WHERE table_name = UPPER('Emp');Regards

  • LOV Values not reflecting in the ADF table

    Hi,
    I created to VO's one for the LOV and one which uses the LOV. When I select a value from the LOV three columns in the ADF Table needs to be reflected with the selected value, But the Only one column is reflecting the value.
    When I manually refresh the jsp page the second value and the third value is getting reflected.
    I tried adding Refreshing the ADF table VO using VO Iterator in a managed bean and also added Auto submit , but nothing works.
    The ADF Table is in Page fragment.
    Jdeveloper Version:11.1.2.3.0
    Please help me in resolving the issue.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    set the LOV property "autosubmit" to "true" and then PPR the table (use the PartialTriggers property on teh table to reference the LOV component Id)

  • Hiding a column in the quote table

    Hello,
    Please i need to hide a column in the quote table (Oracle quoting: Quotes ). How can this be done ? I am not able to get the JSP pages to do the customization ? how to get the name of the JSP in order to get it from the server and modify it?
    Please reply ,
    Thanks,

    easiest way to find out the jsp to be modified.
    do the view source of the page, search for the item you want to hide and go back upwards in the file, you will find the jsp that renders the field.
    customize that jsp.

  • How do I change the order of columns in the responses table?

    How do i change the order of columns in the responses table in FormsCentral?  The default setting puts them in reverse order!

    Hi,
    The issue with the default ordering of columns in the response table is something that we hope to address in the next update to FormsCentral. In the meantime, you can reorder the columns by selecting them then click/drag using the gray area above the column name. As shown below, an orange marker will show you where the columns will be placed when you release the mouse button.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    but while trying to run this script i get this error message:"ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression"
    thanks for reading me and I hope to hear from you soon

    Hi,
    Your question do not have anything do with APEX.
    It is pure SQL question and you will get better answer this kind questions from SQL and PL/SQL forum
    You need have GROUP BY when you use aggregate functions like SUM.
    I assume you like just add two columns.
    Try
    SELECT ENTPIDFISC
        ,EXEANNEE
        ,PROJBILTRIMT1PREV
        ,PROJBILTRIMT2PREV
        ,trunc(PROJBILTRIMT1PREV) + (PROJBILTRIMT2PREV)
    FROM TR_PROJ_BIL_TRIM

  • Two columns in the same table that are foreign keys to the same master key

    i want to create a table let say X, which have two columns that are foreign key that reference the same column in the master table, so does this count as bad database design.

    Desc item table;
    Item_id
    Item_name
    Item_price
    Item_quantitiy
    Create table item_recommendation ( item_id varchar(20), recommended_item varchar(20),
    CONSTRAINT recom_primary PRIMARY KEY (item_id, recommended_item),
    CONSTRAINT F1 FOREIGN KEY (item_id) REFERENCES items(item_id), ),
    CONSTRAINT F2 FOREIGN KEY (recommended_item) REFERENCES items(item_id));

    declare @EndDate date='12/31/2013'
    ;WITH Datematrix(AllocationDate)

    any guys update this solution.
    Thanks

    SELECT DATEADD(D,1,AllocationDate) AS AllocationDate
    FROM Datematrix WHERE AllocationDate<@EndDate
    Insert into Datematrix(AllocationDate)
    select * from Datematrix
    Hello,
    Your CTE bases only on fix value = @StartDate , not on a table/view; here do you want to insert data to? This don't work in any way.

  • Nsert/Update and Add Column at the same Table and at the "same" Time

    Hello,
    I want Insert/Update and Add Column at the same Table and at the "same" Time but in different sessions.
    Example:
    At first the "insert/update" statement:
    Insert into TestTable (Testid,Value) values (1,5105);
    After that the "add" statement:
    Alter table TestTable add TestColumn number;
    - sadly now I get the message: ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
    "insert/update" statement:
    Insert into TestTable (Testid,Value) values (2,1135);
    After that the execute commit.
    I don't know when the first session set the commit statement so I want that the DB the "Alter Table..." statement execute if it's possible.
    If it's possible I want to save a repeat loop with the "Alter Table..." statemtent.
    Thanks for ideas

    Well I want to walk in the rain without and umbrella and still stay dry, but it ain't gonna happen.
    You can't run a DDL statement against a table with transactions pending. Session 2 has to wait until session commits or rollbacks (or until the session is killed). That's just the way it is.
    This makes sense if you think about it. The data dictionary has to be consistent across all sessions. If session 2 was allowed to change the table structure whilst session 1 has a pending transaction then the database is in an inconsistent state. This is easier to see if you consider the reverse situation - the ALTER TABLE statement run by session 2 does a DROP COLUMN TESTID rather than adding a column: now what should happen to session 1's INSERT statement? You have retrospectively invalidated a statement that was perfectly legal when it was executed.
    If it's possible I want to save a repeat loop with the "Alter Table..." statemtent.Fnord.
    Cheers, APC

  • Need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction

    Hi ABAP Gurus,
    I have to do a screen enhancement for transaction C223.
    Below is the requirement:
    need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction.
    there is no customer exits, screen exit or user exit present for this transaction C223, i have found one enhancement spot for this transaction.
    i dont have any idea how to do this in standard transaction C223, the table control in C223 saves the data to MKAL table and the table control uses the structure MKAL_EXPAND in the screen program.
    i have created an append structure for  the 2 fields to the standard table MKAL.
    Can anyone please suggest me how this can be done in standard screen C223, will the enhancement spot can be used to do this....
    please sugest...
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Santosh,
    Thanks for the reply. I have looked into this Enhancement Spot CPFX_SCREEN_SET , inside this there is only one method INPUT_DISABLED having below parameters
    IM_MKAL     Importing     Type     MKAL                                                                                Production Version
    EX_MSGID     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGID                                                                                Messages, Message
    EX_MSGTY     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGTY                                                                                Messages, Message
    EX_MSGNO     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGNO                                                                                Messages, Message
    EX_MSGV1     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGV1                                                                                Messages, Message
    EX_MSGV2     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGV2                                                                                Messages, Message
    EX_MSGV3     Exporting     Type     SY-MSGV3                                                                                Messages, Message

    EX_INPUT_DISABLE     Exporting     Type     CHAR1                                                                                Display Only if X Was Set
    the BADI definition present here is a SAP internal so we cant implement the BADI , but we can created a enhancement spot implementation for this. as per my understanding on this the enhancement spot is only for making the table control fields display / change .  i dont think this can be used to add two new coloumns to C223 table control.
    I am not sure thats why seeking your help/valuable sugestion on this.
    Please provide your sugestion on this , so that i can come to conclusion on this issue.

  • Knowing the primary key columns of the given table

    Hi,
    How can I get the primary key columns of the given table?
    Regards,
    Sachin R.K.

    You can find the constraint_name from all_constraints/user_constraints for constraint_type = 'P' (which is the primary key constraint).
    And then see which columns are in for the constriant_name
    in all_cons_columns/user_cons_columns view.
    Below is the example
    select acc.column_name from
    all_cons_columns acc, all_constraints ac
    where acc.constraint_name = ac.constraint_name
    and acc.table_name = 'DEPT' AND acc.owner = 'SCOTT'
    and ac.constraint_type = 'P'
    Hope this helps
