Hidden link

Hi
I have a php site with a mysql database. I'd like to put some form of hidden button on the index page so that the enduser can just click there to go to the admin page,
Thought of using the copyright text as a link and using css to style all four states to be black or using some form of image map on a white image (page background is white)
Is there a better way?

There's no real way to hide things. Most if not all bots and nefarious people generally are not aware of CSS, so you can't hide anything that way. In plain text, links look like links. Again, no hiding a link, no matter what it's attached to.
Password protecting the admin directory or using a login script is the only way to go.

Hidden links in excel

Hi forum.
I'm converting excel sheets to pdf via the "Covert to PDF" button that installs when installing Adobe PDF.
This is as far as I know the only possible way to keep the hidden links (by hidden links - I mean links that are typed behind the word (as usual html links) ie the word banana links to http://www.google.com - the link as hidden).
This works ... or used to work - sitting on my win2000 machine it does work, but after switching to a winxp machine this functionality stopped working.
Does anyone know what I should do?
Ps. I still makes the PDF's - but the links are only blue underlined words (not working links)...
Pps. I use Adobe PDF 7.0.0 tried to upgrade it (7.1.0) but it didn't change a thing?

As far as I know, Office uses relative address than absolute address by default.
When a file is uploaded, the "convert to relative" feature changes hyperlinks to relative links when the file is saved.
Is your Office version 2003?
To use this hotfix, follow these steps:
1. Quit Office.
2. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. Locate and then click to select the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common
4. After you select the key that is specified in step 3, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD Value.
5. Type UseCaseInsensitivePathForHyperlink, and then press ENTER.
6. Right-click UseCaseInsensitivePathForHyperlink, and then click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
8. On the File menu, click Exit to quit Registry Editor.

Everywhere I click on a website either in my safari or google chrome, there will always pops up ads, just like there are hidden links in my web page everywhere

After last Sunday, every website i opened there will be tons of hidden links of ads. Like I click every where on my website, it will pop up an ad. The pictures are the ads that usually pop up

Javascript to call hidden link

Hi all,
I wanted to use a jenia popup frame with the t:jscookmenu. I tried multiple ways to imbed the popup link inside the menu but none of them worked. Therefore, I decided the best way to go about it would be to add a hidden popup link and use the navigationMenuItem to "click" it. The two pieces of code I tried for this are as follows.
1) <t:navigationMenuItem itemLabel="Delete Note" action="document.getElementById('confirm').click()"/>
2)<t:navigationMenuItem itemLabel="Delete Note" onClick="document.getElementById('confirm').click()"/>
and the popup looks like
<jp:popupFrame id="confirm" center="true" actionOpen="gopop" actionClose="#{myBean.deleteNote}"/>
When I try 1, the jscookmenu disappears. When I try 2, nothing happens when I click the button. Does anyone have any suggestions?

OK so I found out that navigationMenuItem dont support javascript actions. Therefore I decided to switch my menu from jscook to panelNavigation. However, I am having a hard time getting this to work. I tried following the example shown at irian but the menu is not displaying. Does anyone know somewhere good to learn how to use panelnavigation correctly?

Hidden links still clickable

Safari version : 2.0.4 (419.3)
My problem : I've got a bunch of items in a "div", with his overflow set to "hidden". I have added a nice scrollbar found on the Internet in order to scroll up and down. Each item consists of a line containing a label and five links to his right. My problem is that those links on a hidden line are still clickable, only with Safari.
My question : How do you really hide those kind of links ?

I am only guessing, but it sounds like you have the flash movie in a div which is at a higher z-index then the rest of the page? If that is correct and you are simply telling the div css to display:none I don't think that will work for you. I think you need to make the div size variable and set your movie's stage to scale up with the size of it's container in this case the div. Then you make sure the content doens't scale and change the size of the div to make it expand. There are some nice examples of how to do this if you search on fluid layouts for flash.

All of a sudden when i click any button or link a new window opens with an ad

I have used Firefox for about 7 years. No issues...
I recently installed Ghostery add on.
The only way to describe it is:
I go to a page..
Click a link (or close to it) or enter or any other button/link that would take me to what I expect..
BUT instead it opens a new tab to an advertisement site (quibids, P&G, many other random ads) - a few of them I blacklisted with BLOCKSITE (installed after the problem started happening) but several I can't because I would actually use them when I need to (ex: Vistaprint.com)
When I go back to the original site and click the same link and click it again it works as intended.
This happens across all sites that I am on...
It is like there is a hidden link within the one I am clicking on.
I have pop ups blocked in my browser but this gets around it somehow.
Since GHOSTERY installed, some sites do not work correctly. If I click on a picture, or something that I want to expand it is as if I am doing nothing at all because it won't complete the action, the functionality is broken.
I have white listed a couple sites but this is random and if I whitelist everything I come across then it opens me back to what I am trying to avoid..
EXAMPLES:
went on Heat.com, clicked the button to go to the White Hot Gear instead it opened a new tab brandonline.com
was on LinkedIn and hit the comment button on a thread, then it opened a new tab vistaprint.com
was on publix.com, hit the order refills button, then it opened a new tab premium-promos.net
did a google search clicked on the link I wanted, it opened a new tab premiumgiftrewards.net
EACH time I go back to the original site and click the same button/link/etc it takes me where expected.

Both Firefox and IE have the same problem. The cursor instead of being a finger when pointing to a link is still an arrow. However I can click anywhere on the page and an ad will pop up. I have eliminated all unwanted bars in Firefox, I ran Malwarebytes until it came out clean. I also have AVG which had detected a few items on it's own. But when I get into Firefox I still have exactly the same problem. Now it will not let me download Browser Safeguard. Usually after one click the pointer returns to normal for a few screens. When I try to click to download Browser Safeguard it keeps bringing up different ads or it tries to get me to upgrade Firefox or some other browser helper program which I know are all BS tactics to get me to load their junk again. PLease help I'm an engineer and pretty good with PCs but this one has me beat at least so far.

How do I avoid the recipient of my Indesign PDF receiving a security warning when clicking on links?

I create PDF's out of Indesign to send to new clients. They contain links to external websites. They do not contain any javascript or videos or hidden links. If the PDF is opened in Adobe Reader, when the recipient clicks on a hyperlink in my PDF they get a security warning asking if they trust the site. How can I avoid the recipient receiving this Security Warning as it would scare people into thinking I had sent them something malicious when I haven't?

You cannot avoid it, that's part of the PDF security system to make the user aware that he is entering non-trusted area, as it is with every web page when it is opened the first time in Reader or Acrobat on this computer. ThatÄs an unchageable fact. You have to live with it.

Hp remote connection, hundreds of hidden icons!

I have a strange problem lately. When I open my 'hidden icons' link in my task bar, I am seeing hundreds of HP Remote Connection icons. I have never seen this before. Here is a screenshot of what it looks like, when I click the link "View Hidden Links". I have all the normal icons showing at the bottom, but there are hundreds of purple icons, and I don't know why. I tried to click on them and nothing happens. Here is a screen shot of what I see :

Hello @grafiti4u,
I understand tha you are having issues with the HP Connected Remote App showing numerous icons on your HP computer. I am providing you with the only HP Support document: HP PCs - Using the HP Connected Remote App (Windows 8) that I can find pertaining to your issue. I recommend that you review the document for any help it may offer (possibly adjust settings for how you are using the applications, being sure to make sure the software is updated as well. If you are not using the software then I would suggest you use the section that shows how to disable it.
If the above document does not help you and this is a new issue then I would suggest that you use the HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8) to simply roll your system back to a point in time where this issue did not occur.

How I beat the iTunes Error 4310

This post does not exactly provide a solution to the frustration so many people are encountering when trying to burn a CD from an iTunes playlist, but I did find a way around the problem. I hope that by posting this I can at least save a few of you some frustration, and at best I can provide some clues that may help Apple fix this seemingly intractable problem. I've put some time into this and I can tell you a few things up front: the problem is not caused by drivers for an optical drive or burning at high speed or corrupted iTunes installations or including text in the disk data or any other possible "things to try" I've found on this forum. The problem lies in iTunes itself and it really needs to be fixed by Apple.
While running Windows 7 64-bit I found it impossible to burn a CD from a playlist using iTunes. The burn would try to start and then the process would cancel with the dreaded 4310 error. After trying and trying and reading forums and trying again, I gave up and replaced my Win7 boot drive with a drive on which I've installed Windows 8.1, which I don't like much at all, but that's a different story. Whatever, I got the same results with Win8.1 -- 4310 error. By the way, Win8.1 is also 64-bit. (See where this is going?)
So I reinstalled my Win7 drive, which I have set up to dual boot. Yep, I can get to a backup Win7 installation via Windows boot manager, and guess what? My backup installation of Win7 is 32-bit. This installation is very bare bones with practically no applications installed, so I can use it as a testbed when I want to experiment without endangering my primary OS installation. So I booted in 32-bit Win7, went to itunes.com, and installed the latest version of iTunes on my testbed. Then I imported a playlist I'd saved while running Win7 64-bit, and voila! I have successfully burned a CD from an iTunes playlist. Note that this iTunes installation was using a playlist created in an installation of iTunes on a 64-bit system, and it was drawing the exact same audio files from the exact same directories that had failed to burn under Win7 64-bit.
So I made it work, but it shouldn't have been this hard. Are you listening, Apple? Can't you fix this?

I will try to explain in a better way, what I've done to resolve my problem.
I'll answer to your questions in the same order you asked.
- I add movie just dragging and dropping.
- The main movie is -for me- the one which is more length or important. It probably works with any kind of dvd content you want to replicate. I've done this only for increase the total lenght of the dvd, because I think that this is the nature of this iDvd's bug. I choose the "main movie" because I have no other contents that can be pertaining with my dvd, so, if someone can find its hidden link... he/she only will see the main content of the dvd!
- When you add the second instance of the "main movie", you will see in the current iDvd page another link with the same title of the movie you have just added. So, at this point, you will probably have two title that are the same. Choose one of them and rename it in iDvd. (I renamed it with "." and hidden over a graphic element which had the same color! I as well delated all its related menus too save time in encoding and not annoying anyone clicking on it).
Hope this clarify my trick, and sorry for my gapping english!

Hi,
It's a good idea, but currently it's not yet supported.
In Work Center, there is no predefined (nor a hidden) link shipped by SAP to access the Solution Database for key users.
With a future EhP for Solution Manager, you might get an integration of the Solution Database into the message processing Web UI.

july 2014 I install new windows xp, but I can't log in before account 44*******@qq.com, its always give me enjoyful when I was easy open bookmark url from different computer.
but there is no any notice or email to me firefox will have new sync system, if there, I could backup before bookmarks from 28 vision ( or some june's vision), but this big browser group is quiet, now, I can't log in again old account,
achieve process:
1st, normal account and right password, its show me unknown account.
2nd, Password Reset, " An email has been sent to the requested account with further information. If you do not receive an email then please confirm you have entered the same email address used during account registration.", I couldn't receive any mail(or in spam) :(
3rd, How to update to the new Firefox Sync ...

I really feel disappointment with firefox( although used for many years), much text, but couldn't resolve clear simple path. answers more hidden link to read, I just use it explore internet, I am not technology engineer, don't care what so much b***t.

Hi eddinchina,
You should have no need to use the Old Sync account.
As long as device or devices are Firefox 29 or later (They should all be Firefox 30 now) you should use the New Sync.
You may use the same email address with both accounts.

How I resolved the #-34506 error

Hi everybody,
I've often fallen on the -34506 error during encoding, but only with projects during around one hour.
Though I've found the suggestions on these pages useful (Check the chapter markers. Have lots of free space on the startup drive. Clearing caches. Deleting iDVD plist. etc.), they doesn't resolve my problem.
So here what I have done...
For projects during less than one hour, I simply swich from "best quality" to "best performance" but of course this is not the best way for who want the best result. In addiction I got the error even for project during 65 minutes where it was not possible to use the "best performance" setting.
I have completely RESOLVED the problem by adding twice the main movie in iDVD, and hiding somewhere one of the two title renamed with "." (which is simple to hide!)
This problem exists since previous versions of iDvd: when will Apple-mum resolve the bug?!
I really hope my experience and my trick be useful for anybody because I know it's very frustrating and annoying!
