Hidden Private File and contents - hack or remote user?
Hi Guys.
Still think i have a hack or am being remotely accessed.
Found a private folder - hidden. the name should be my name - who is wheel or system - usually in this area it is my name?
would it be useful for you guys for me to show the contents of everything in here to see if here is a hack?
would macscan be able to find this hidden priviate file and find if there was something malicious?

The private folder is a normal & essential part of OS X. It is hidden because you should not tinker with its contents unless you know exactly what you are doing.
Likewise, system & wheel are normal & essential parts of the OS. See the "Owner, Group, Others" section of http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 for more about this.
You are not being hacked. Everything you see is normal.

I'm willing to send all info to anyone who will provide some type of reasonable answer for me other than back it up wipe it clean and restart BC- I live with the person I believe did It and really that's not going to help as I already have - would like more definitive info -Will do that tomorrow - but the problem is- he has had access to my iCloud since I got an iPhone - we live together - have for a long time he set it up for me - I never realized there was a possibility he could possibly hack my phone entirely through that- and im still not sure - as answers here are vague- I don't have a problem with him viewing any info there- I never set up much more than contacts and find my iPhone which - who cares if he looks where I am - I don't lie about that- but until I started having multiple persistent problems with my phone - and finding many locked files on his Mac and Cydia on his iPad -( after hours of digging) - I never had a clue to think maybe he hacked my phone - I started really researching the concept and found vuze BitTorrent VMware strange wifi numbers - different locations on Mac - apple script and text edit files - pdf files that made no sense- stuffit - frankly i dont know what any o it really means- the problem is - I don't think going to apple tomorrow having them fix it - and not knowing if the problem is here at home is going to help this situation -if he is hacking / remote using - my phone on the level I think he has - I clearly can't figure it out with the knowledge I have in regards to this software - never knew he was into it - and frankly I think If its true its pretty easy for him to do again as we share everything here - can apple look at the information I have and really answer this question or do I need to find someone who will be able to understand the data ( im sure apple will -but who wants their product hack able) and all I've heard is its impossible to hack an apple phone with out jail breaking it - which from what I've looked at the last month I'm not sure about that if you share all your devices constantly. I would just like a definitive yes or no - and before I wipe it clean - it's kind of a serious thing.

IMac (Mavericks) hacked by remote user
A couple of weeks ago I noticed my camera on - as I approached the computer it shut off. I thought that maybe a family member started to facetime me and change their mind (there was no ringing) That happened 2 times. I forgot to ask anyone about it.
A week later, my PayPal account was broken into, as was my bank account connected to PayPal. They took more than $2000.00. PayPal has not yet explained how this happened.
3 days ago, early on Sunday morning, I saw my computer screen lit up and all these windows opening and closing. At first I was unsure that I was actually seeing what was happening. Then I bumped the mouse and the windows started to close...fast. It finally hit me that someone was "there." I turned off the wifi (no cable connected) - then I went to the trash to see what was there -- nothing. So I opened up the browser history and saw all my bank accounts listed. I checked my e-mail and saw all these alerts from my banks stating that someone had incorrectly answered the security questions -- in 4 banks. the DID get into an old credit card account online. I communicated with all my banks. I also have emailed DYN.com as I use(d) their services for years -- as a paid subscriber, I thought they would respond to me -- I was wondering if that is how the remote access occurred. I have heard nothing from them either...
I looked in settings and there was an added user "Mrs Tester" was added as an admin. I deleted the account, unchecked remote login and screen share. I also changed my home network code and base station code. I NEED remote login for my work. I called Apple security and the guy told me that I had already done everything they would tell me to do. I have the hackers history. (bitcoins were the accounts he was going back to after each attempt at a bank) -- Of course I have changed all my pass codes and made them all unique -- do I call the police? How can I tell if my computer is safe again.
So there's my question...how do I scan to see if there's anything on my system logging my key strokes etc. I installed "eset" trial user, as was recommended by the local computer store. Any other thoughts? With all the password changes, is there a way I can get back online and use remote login?
I have to say, I feel like a naked man has been staring at me from outside my window... YUCK.
Thanks for your help...Of course I have changed all my pass codes and made them all unique — I filed a police report. I was starting to feel better about all this when 2 days ago someone successfully logged in and changed my Social Security account password. I changed it again nd changed the email that went with it. I called SS and asked how this could have happened. She was so laissez fair about the entire thing. Said “hon, it’s OKAY!” That’s it. She said because I have no bank account attached to it, it didn't matter -- Don't they now have all my identity stuff? When I logged in to change the password after receiving an email alert, I saw a very quick flash across the screen that read something like "Someone may be watching you" I couldn't get it to repeat.
How can I tell if my computer is safe again.

Now, also, JAVA has been removed (or was never installed?!) on my MB Air and many things will not run. Even airline websites to book flights need java. I have now updated JAVA on my iMac (the computer where I saw the hacker working) -

The original user profile on my windows 8.1 pc is C:\Apple\acer sm. I tried changing it to C:\Apple\Apple. After I rebooted my PC, I found out that all my files and applications are lost. What shall I do to recover them?

We wonder if you changed the registry entry or path of user profile.
If you did that in registry please try changing it back.
After changing your user profile and reboot, system won’t read the profile you changed but a new user profile (C:\Apple\acer sm or TEMP) should be created by system. Try renaming this new one as acer sm.old and changing the apple back to acer sm.

Uploading DOC,PDF etc files and sending it to External user
Hi,
I m facing problem in sending doc,pdf,excel files to an external user on his personal email id (gmail,yahoo,etc)as an attchmnent.
While creating Claim ( T code:- CLM1) the user will attach a file and I want to send it to the external Email ID using 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' .
Currently I m not been able to find out the location where the file is getting stored.
Please guide me on that

I saw your question and after reading Tamo's blog, here is the answer to your questions:
1. how you should initialize the outputstream.
you do not initialize the outputStream, the Weblogic container does that for you, the call response.getOutputStream() returns a ready to use stream.
2. what should I do with the outputstream after that, I mean how to show to user. do I need another conversion from outputstream to another datatype File forexample.
you simply flush the output to the client, and the client will render the blob depending on the mimeType. since the output stream writes to the response that is sent back to the client.
by the way, those two questions has more to do with J2EE than ADF.

Web Folders, where are files and content stored?
When files/content are added to Web Folders, via Portal, where are these files stored? In the database? file system?

I just bought a new external 3TB hard drive for this task and want to keep my items seperate from hers for both our sanity.
I figured that I would do a time machine back up and use that to do the move part of things.
But as to setting up the new user on her computer I am just not sure if I can "tell" the computer to only use the new drive for my stuff and only acces the new drive for all things related to that new profile.
More then anything else I want to be able to say that all things that are hers have not been touched/acccesed/deleted by any of my actions. And that I am "confined" to the new drive.
I hope this makes sence.

AFIK there isn't an easy way of linking up to a lot of dead tracks and retaining play counts etc, except by finding the dead tracks and repairing each link individually. The only exception to this is if there is a simple error in the path that can be fixed by a search and replace on the xml library file, then rebuilding the library. However it doesn't sound as though that would be a solution for you.
This MacMuse tip has a way of finding dead tracks if that helps.

It is much simpler to sacrifice the playcount information and just reimport your iTunes Music folder. Then you can eliminate the dead tracks with a script. One of the forum members has written one that you can find here:

Hello BW gurus,
I have a question. I have automated the ECC Z table loading process. Like I have a program which will run the ztable update process logic and will update the table and after that it will raise an event in the BW system. Based on the event the process chain will be triggered.
After the BW data load. I want to add an extract step like run the query and then download the file in excel format and send an email to the user. I know this has to be done by information broadcasting. I haven't looked at the documentation. Maybe you guys can explain to me like how to acheive this in the process chain.

I am using MSSQL SSRS 2008.
All the reports run properly when viewed via a web browser. However for subscription, I am having a strange
experience.
The subscription having intermitten failure. I need to execute multiple times to get it work.
Following is the exception I am getting:-
Failure sending mail: The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.Mail will not be resent.
Failure writing file DailyPolicyExportCDN_ST@timestamp : The user or group name 'xxxxx' is not recognized.
Following is the exception I retrieve from log files.

According to your description, you can access your report successfully, but it fail to send e-mail subscription. Right?
In this scenario, since you can access the report successfully, so this user has permission on report server. Please go to E-mail setting in your Reporting Services Configuration Manager, check if the current user has permission on that SMTP server.
If this is still not working, please recreate the subscription and try again.

Sharing files and iCal events between different users (accounts) on one Mac
Hi,
I have a new iMac with Leopard. I have two accounts on this machine: one for myself and one for my girlfriend. I want to share files with her such as iPhoto events (so I don't have to import photos twice), iCal events (so I don't have to send her an email to synch our calendars), music from iTunes and other files.
Does anyone know how to easily do this? I have tried the drop folder for sharing but it only appears across a network if I am logged in and won't transfer to different users.
Danielthanks, zevoneer. apparently, I gave up too early in my own search. I'm trying it now - the copy process is taking some time. Well, I had hoped to narrow the access down to only one other account but at least this should provide the access that is needed.

Ipad 2 not jailbroken all updates hacked or remote user?
hey guys im reading the forums hearing they cant be hacked etc etc
i have never had this problem before i dunno if its the new ios or anything..
the ipad can be sitting on my couch untouched black screen (silent mode) and then light up and starts flipping threw the pages.
i open a game to play it and things keep getting clicked without me doing anything.... try going on facebook and writing something? nope buttons keep getting pressed and switching between numbers and fonts...
I loved the ipad before and basically never use my cpu anymore. Now atleast until they get a better update or a solution for whatever is going on its going to sit and collect dust.
im thinking of driving a hr to the ipad store and showing them my ipad acting weird or showing them the videos ive taken of this just ramdomly happening.
My computer seems fine and i will be deleting itunes off my cpu.
as for my ipad i have cleared all my history and cache, got completely off icloud, no bluetooth. and dont see any weird programs.
Any ideas of what i should do?

Move files and settings from admin to user account
I used to do my daily work in the only admin account on my Mac. For safety reasons, I'd prefer to do my daily work in a user account (that is, in an account with less privileges).
* How do I move all my data and preferences from the admin account into the new user account? Will I need to copy some fonts and applications? How to adjust the access right?The easy way is to create a new administrator account, logout out of the old one, login to the new one, and use the "Accounts" system preference to turn off the administrator privilege of the old account. The old account should then be used for normal work.

Issue with Deduplicated files and Mac OSX 10.9.2
Running a Windows 2012 R2 DFS with Deduplication enabled on the storage drives. Both Macs and PCs regularly interact with the system with no issues.
However with Apple's rollout of 10.9.2 SMB2 'fix' users are no longer able to correctly interact with any files on the file server with the "SparseFile" attribute, which appears to be from the deduplication of the file.
When the Macs attempted to download a "sparsed" file they get an error along the lines of "you do not have permissions to copy this file". This is annoying enough, but the biggest head ache is when a user tries to
copy a folder that has sparced files in it, the folder and its files are seemingly copied but the Mac does not copy the sparced files... and give no indication to the user that it ran into an error... Finder just closes like
the operation was completely successful.
Even more annoyingly the user can open the file directly from the server, and work on the file with seemingly no issues, but when they save the file the changes are often not saved, and the user gets NO feedback from the application or OS.
It seems the Macs are seeing the file as having a NULL file size and they skip the file when they download it. This was not the case in 10.9.1 or any other version of any other OS we have tested. We have entered this as a bug to Apple
and hope they will fix it... mostly just posting this for the next admin who is pulling his hair out trying to figure this out.
For a work around you can force the Apple 10.9.2 system to use SMB1 by using the CIFS protocol to connect to the server instead of normal SMB... which is not ideal but will work for now.Hi,

Sharing an editable file and sending the app to the publisher
Hello. I am a little confused about some parts of working with apps in dps. We are two persons working together, and therefore, of course, we would like to share the apps we create. But from InDesign it seems that the files can only go one way, and that is up in the cloud. I found out that I can download the .folio (even though it is very cryptic to do so) from Folio Producer, but I cannot download anything editable, which will be necessary if we are to collaborate between more computers. In addition, it would be very convenient to be able to share a file in the process of making it, before I upload it, select icon pictures etc. and press that blue publish button. This is a very time-consuming process.
Also we would like to send the apps to the publishers that we are working for, so they can upload them with their Apple account, not ours. We do not want to pay monthly for their books. If we send the .folio file (the one I got by pressing publish in Folio Producer and then export) to them, would they be able to publish the app by uploading it to Apple?
I should mention that I am only using the free version of Creative Cloud. I don't know if this has any limitations relevant for these problems. I know that I can pay extra to be able to share in the cloud, but that does not change the fact, I think, that you cannot edit the files that you download. I am not even able to edit my own files uploaded and downloaded with the same computer and the same account.

You can create a folio and share it with another user. That user can contribute articles to your folio and view your content both on device and on the desktop.
You can create a folio, builda single edition app, sign it with a developer certificate and another user can load it on their device for viewing.
You can create Indesign files and share them with another user via dropbox or sneaker net. That other person can create folios with these files for no charge and view on device and desktop.
Create a folio, publish it and share the web viewer URL with another user so they can view it in a browser.
About the only collaboration mechanism DPS doesn't support is the generatio of a folio that can be emailed to another user for viewing.
