How can I retrieve my hidden videos from Imovie?

I went in to my Imovies and tried to retrieve hidden videos that I hid so the kids wouldn't see them. I would like to know how to find these hidden videos.

Photo stream is not part of the backup, it's stored separately in iCloud. Also, photo are only kept in photo stream for 30 days. After that they are removed from photo stream although they will remain on your device if it has already received them. However, if you turn off photo stream for any reason (such as during a restore), it can only receive the photos currently in photo stream. If they're all over 30 days old they will no longer be there to retrieve. (Normally this isn't an issue as the photos will all either be in your camera roll, where the originated, or imported to your computer for safekeeping.)

How can I delete hidden video files from the iPad? These files were created on my MBA and when I changed the media type to iTunesU and then copied it to my iPad via iTunes, they did not appear. I can see them using 3rd party software, but they don't have delete functionality.

Interesting note: I can see the files when I use the search function, but when I tap either file, I return to my home screen. The video does not open. I can transfer the file to my MBA, and it plays fine, but I cannot figure out a way to delete them.

Encore web DVD "hidden video assets" ?

is it possibe to create a encore web DVD with "hidden video assets" ? (like they used to using Director?)
so the end user would just insert the dvd rom, and lauch an html file but would not see the video assets ?

it would be to prevent copying of individual f4v files. it used to be common in director hiding quicktime files.
i guess the better way now would be to host the flash/videos on a protected webpage and sell timed access. (unfortunalty, that comes with a learning curve to put into effect.)
but the origianl thought was to offer the product as DVD or On Demand Streaming or Digital Download - and if a user chooses Digital Download i have to have a delivery format

How to recover hidden video files on Zen X-Fi

Hi all,
The screen cracked on my Zen X-Fi, so nothing is visible. I think it also may somehow be out of power and not rechargable.
What I need to do is recover some of the videos I had on there, but I had them as "hidden" video files.
Is there some way to hook the X-Fi up to my computer, use it as an external disk, find the hidden files, and copy them? I can't even get it to look like an external disk in Windows Explorer.
Any ideas? I'd be grateful. Thank you.

How long do you have it plugged in to charge? Leave it plugged in for an hour to see if there is any response.
If it's completely dead then I am afraid you won't be able to transfer the files back to your computer. There are third-party vendors that offer data recovery services for a fee, you might want to do a google search for them.

Placing a hidden video in indesign cc

Hi there, I am building a single edition iPad app with inDesign CC. Is there a way to have a video hidden on a document that is then triggered by a button so that the video opens full screen on an iPad? I have tried using states but I am obviously doing something wrong. Or is it not even possible?

I placed them after editing in premiere pro and exporting out as H.264 for ipad2 match source at 640 x 360px..... the original video was downloaded from a you tube channel. Cannot get it to allow me to insert a screen shot. The insert image button is greyed out. When I place the video within the document it has these white diagonal lines across the area of the frame that stay even if I activate poster none?

I have a 64GB iPad (non-jailbroken) and used a video App called gplayer to move several large video lectures (about 30GB) via wifi FTP to my iPad so that I could play the files using gplayer directly off the iPad (which worked VERY well)....
...until gplayer had an update, and now for some reason I guess their filestructure changed, so my previous videos are no longer seen
(yet I now still physically on the iPad taking up 30GB space!)
Now, I need to find those files and DELETE them so I can free up the space...unfortunately I cannot find them using Windows File Explorer (I checked all 100 folders in the DCIM folders...which only had my photos).
I tried to email gplayer support, but they haven't given me a reply yet.
I already tried to UNINSTALL the gplayer App, and reinstall it, but It did not fix the problem.
Does anyone know a way to view the full iPad file structure, and find the "hidden" files so I can delete them off my iPad?
I know the files are there, as under my Settings/General/About icon,
the "Videos" section shows that there are "60" files.
(I don't have any Videos in the Videos App that show up, or have ever used iTunes to upload videos!!)

thats a good thought. I will try to sync the iPad physically to the computer (i haven't done this in a while, since everything has been wirelessly done)
... but i have hundreds of apps, which will take a long time. Wanted to see if there were other methods before going down this route. I guess I'll have to check the "sync my apps" box in iTunes and try it out ... ?

Yesterday I went to my local Best Buy to inquire about a remote starter for my vehicle. After waiting about 15 minutes in the Car section without anyone being around I left. I did find the Viper Remote Stater kit that I wanted to get at $139.99 with Geek Squad Installation included. As it stated on the box and the price tag on the display. However, I call the installation department to make an appointment and was told that there would be an extra $240 in parts needed to install the remote start into my vehicle.
What kind of bait and switch is Best Buy running? How does a $140 Remote start including installation become a $360 Remote start? I will be sending emails to the store manager as well as inquiring on a BBB report for fraud. The lack of customer service and HIDDEN fees in something that states on the box "installation included" is unacceptable.

since you went into the store the sales associate should have pulled up those extra charges and given you that information before you purchased the unit. being a installer, our job is to inform the customers of any add'l charges that will be needed before your appointment so that you don't have any suprise installation charges when you pick up your vehicle. I am glad that the installers were able to tell you that you would indeed need the parts on top, because without those parts your remote start wouldn't work. the basic installation charges do not cover
bypass modules for chips in the key,
factory alarm disarm charges,
trunk release,
horn honk,
and any other add'l features that you are wanting hooked up on top of your remote start, parking lights, and basic lock and unlock features.
sorry for any troubles that this has caused, but the installers were correct in you needing those add'l parts, so if you want a remote start you will need to purchase those add'l parts on top for the installation to take place, you are also within your return period to return it if you aren't wanting to pay that much more for your remote start. sorry for your troubles, and best of luck!

Hidden videos

My "about" page shows there being 5 videos on my iPod (and iTunes says there is ~100MB of videos on my iPod as well), but I told iTunes not to sync any videos, and if you go into the videos section of the iPod, nothing is there! Where are these mysterious video files, and why are they being synced?
I tried doing a full restore and copying everything to iPod again, but problem persists.

I understand that logic if I added it myself to an album, BUT the "Videos" album is an automatically generated album, which I can't do anything about it.
That is why I pointed out the similarity to the "All Photos" album. That is also automatically generated. All albums will show all applicable items. Hiding really only hides from the library items Collections, Moments, Years. It is not meant for keeping items secret; just to be able to thin out the library items Collections, Moments, Years, to get some items out of the way, without deleting them from the library.

Hidden video files

So I've been trying to clean up my hard drive a little bit, and after I deleted a bunch of old videos, pictures and music, I went and looked at the rainbow chart that shows hard drive usage to find that I still have a mysterious 78 GIGS of video that I cannot account for. I can't find any videos anywhere. I moved all my iPhone pictures and videos to a external, as well as all my movies and things. Anyone have any idea where this stuff would be? A friend told me Final Cut Pro might be duplicating video and storing it somewhere, any truth to that?

Ipod video not showing up in itunes video playlist

simple question, but couldn't find the answer anywhere. there is a video on my ipod that i didn't put there (i'm guessing it came with the ipod) that i would like to delete. HOWEVER it doesn't show up in itunes as being on my ipod. i can't find the video file anywhere. how do i get it off? are there 'hidden' videos? is there something the ipod might get files from that i don't know about?

Just wanted to say I solved this problem. In case anyone else comes looking for it, the solution is to rebuild your iTunes library.
The only downside was that this left about 50 TV shows incorrectly classified as movies. But that was easy enough to fix.

How do I reduce the size of a you tube video for a cell phone?

I have a 640X360 youtube video on my site, https://www.oldeworldelace.com/Custmers-lace-panels.html, which works just fine on a PC and Tablet but does not reduce in size for use on a cell phone like jpgs and fonts do. Is there any way to work this out so that the video fits the cell phone screen? Thanks in advance

Videos not displayed in Videos app

Back when I updated to iOS 6 some videos disappeared from the Videos app. Now I realize that the videos show in the movies section under "On this iPad" in iTunes when I connect, which I don't do very often. I can actually play the videos in iTunes but I can't delete them. Since I can't find them on the iPad I can't delete them there either. The videos together take up about 1.3 GB and I'd like to recover that space. I tried creating some new videos with the same name to see if they would show up but that didn't work. Any idea how to remove these hidden videos?

I decided to take the plunge and restore the iPad mini as new. Pain in the rear end having to log in to all of the apps that I reinstalled. Oh well. FaceTime now works. On the whole the iPad runs more smoothly. Running iOS 8.1.2. I still have issue with artwork not displaying on some of the video files that I had synced to the iPad mini from my iMac through iTunes. The problem is only with artwork that I had associated to the files. The same file won't show it's artwork on my iPhone 4s running iOS 8.1.2 either. Yet, when I sync that same video file to my iPod Touch 4G running iOS 6.1.6, the artwork displays correctly as I had associated it in iTunes. This leads me to conclude that the problem lies in the iOS 8 upgrade.

I'm building a site using fluid grids in Dreamweaver. When adding a video with the HTML5-video-Tag an the video.js-Player, it isn't possible to get the video automatically resizing when changing the window size. Adding <video style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;" doesn't work, several javascripts won't work too.
So how it's possible to get a fluid video size? (using dreamweaver cs6)

This works with embedded YouTube videos.

Hiding a video in DPS CS6

I'm trying to place a hidden video on my page, triggered by a seperate play button to play full screen. There isn't an option to display a poster image, so I'm not sure how to go about hiding it. Any ideas?

In the Media panel, choose None for Poster. That will make your video object invisible. Then scale the video object down and add a non-interactive play button on top of the video object so that users can tap it to play the full-screen video. (You can also create a separate button with a Video > Play action.)
