Hide All Toolbars?

There are times when one wants to temporarily hide all toolbars and secondary menu bars (and maybe even auto-enlarge the open window to full screen size, except for the primary Apple menu bar), in order to view the window contents at larger size or to view a larger area -- and then jump directly back to the initial display, preferably with just a single mouse click to toggle between these two views.
Adobe Acrobat has precisely this capability for viewing PDF pages, and it's very handy.
Is there any way to accomplish this in Safari? Or any chance of getting Apple to addit?

Have to say frankly, I always respond negatively to a suggestion like this in an online forum, and especially in a vendor-managed online forum.
First one has to find your way to the Feedback form (which was not a live link in the Eudora email message sent me by the forum.
Then you have to fill in 8 or 10 pieces of data, which the vendor already has, but which are not auto-entered in the form.
And then you have to find, copy and/or rephrase your suggestion.
If the vendor -- or the Apple Discussion Forum -- can't manage to at least scan these threads occasionally to see if there are any useful jewels there (or, provide a "Suggest" box in the forum message itself, to just forward it), why should I do all the work, It's for the vendor's benefit, after all, as much as for mine.

I would like the tolbar to act like the chrome one. Where is it noly available when opening a new tab.
Is there a way to do this? Hide the toolbar, temporary hide it or something.

Is there a short/hotkey to show/hide bookmark toolbar?

I would like to have in options>bookmark toolbar unchecked, and a hot key or shortcut key to show or hide the bookmark toolbar.
Having it checked takes room, and the autohide mouse hover addons get annoying when your going type in the URL bar and not use the bookmarks.
Is there a hotkey for this.

There is no keyboard shortcut for the bookmarks toolbar.
"Alt" will display the Menu Bar
"Ctrl+/" toggles the add-on bar
"Ctrl+K" displays Search bar because that is its entry area.
"Ctrl+L" displays Location bar because that is its entry area.
But there are alternatives, and you could set up zombie mode with the "Auto Hide" extension, so that the that is the only toolbar hidden or not hidden, though I wouldn't do that.
You can use F11 to toggle Full Screen mode, which hides title bar and toolbars.

which provides a Full Window mode("zombie mode") with "Shift+F11" similar to full screen but within the confines of the window that allows you to just show the title bar, with options I use with it always show the tabs bar and addons bar in Full Screen or Full Window mode.
In Full Screen or Full Window mode you can move the cursor to the top and see toolbars, use F10 or Alt to see menu bar, use Ctrl+K to see search bar, use Ctrl+L to see Location Bar. To see bookmarks bar you would need to show all toolbar toggle F10 or toggle F11.

Where is hide/show toolbar button?

Hello all,
I have purchased Aperture as a retail package, and I am running Snow Leopard. I have a "hide/show Toolbar" button in the upper left of the title bar, as indicated in the included screenshot.
I used Aperture on a friend's machine, and he does not have the oblong "hide/show toolbar" button. His OS is Lion with Aperture installed from the Mac Store.
Does anyone have any ideas about why he would not have this convenient button, while I do?

if you want a button in the toolbar to toggle it on and of, you could do the following:
Create an AppleScript to toggle the Toolbar on and off
Save the script as an application
Assign a nice icon to it, just like the drop of toothpaste, the button used to look like
Drag the Apple Script to your Finder toolbar
This AppleScript seems to toggle the toolbar - I have not done much testing so far:

The only problem is, you can easily hide the toolbar this way, but once the toolbar is hidden, you cannot turn it on again, since the button now is hidden , so you may wish to put a link to the script in the Dock as well

OSX Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.03 -- persistently hiding all toolbars (always)

Is there any way to force hiding all toolbars as the default when opening documents?
I found the option to restore settings for documents previously saved with Adobe, however, I want to open all documents (including ones not previously saved with Adobe 11.0.03) and have the toolbars be always hidden as the default.
The toolbars always come back to haunt me when I relaunch the application and open a document not previously saved with 11.0.03, and I don't want to always have to press F8 to hide them.

Back up all data.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
From the application's menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Start up in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Restart as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

Hide all buttons in a GUI-STATUS ?

I'd like to hide all functions from the toolbar of a GUI-STATUS except for one function.
I could of course create a table with all the FCODE except for the one and then call
SET PF-STATUS 'bla' EXCLUDING itab.
But whenever I add a function to the GUI-Status then, I have to change that code. Is there a way to prevent this.

Looking at the responses that your question has got, I wouldn't say that I had understood the question as well as
the others have.
I understand that you want to be able to dynamically add and delete the Functions from your toolbar. But what I did
not quite understand is what exactly you had meant by "...I have to change that code....". If you want to perform an
action, you would have to write some code anyways. So here's what I would do:
1. Define a GUI-STATUS which has all the function codes you will ever need during the program.
2. You can manipulate the Buttons on the toolbar with the EXCLUDING option.
3. I don't believe that you need to use the FM RS_CUA_GET_STATUS_FUNCTIONS. Consider using instead the ABAP statement GET PF-STATUS. The Online Documentation has explained this statement wonderfully.
4. I don't think that creating a database table to merely maintain the FCODEs of a program is a sensible option either.
Instead consider using an internal table of constants, where you have all the FCODES required.
I hope these points would clarify some of the things. If you need further assistance, please get back.

a). You can use the statement SET PF-STATUS SPACE to reset all the PF-STATUS.
b). Once you set a PF-STATUS, it will be available till the moment you use the next SET PF-STATUS statement.

If you're missing your menu bar, press ALT or F10 in your keyboard to make the Menu Bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be permanently visible, go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'', or right-click the Navigation Toolbar (the Reload button, for example) and select ''Menu Bar''.
If this doesn't help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible, or right-click the Navigation Toolbar and select ''Menu Bar''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal.

Click on the 'Keyboard' tab and hit the 'modifier keys...' button. You can see and change the defaults there.

Right click problem: I did not know about the Yahoo sidebar issue, I have removed all toolbars from my browser from 'view' menu. There is nothing in my 'extensions' to disable. Right click is not working. What to do?

Right clicking is not working on any of the websites. I read up that it's a Yahoo sidebar issue. But, in my extentions, Yahoo sidebar is not there. I had removed all toolbars, but from 'view' menu. Now how do I get my right click to work?

Not able to hide all fields on PNP selection screen.

           i wanted to hide all the field which are given on PNP selection screen, with the help of the
report category i have hided all the field including the Person selection period as i require only the
Data selection period. further through coding as below iam able to remove all the radio buttons

How to correctly use Hide All/Show All in RH HTML review?

When using the Hide All or Show All filter options seen in RH HTML's Review Pane it states that all "comments and changes are hidden or seen in Review Pane as well as in Design Editor." I cannot see any change when I look at the inserted or deleted items in the Design View. Am I missing something? I am trying to find a way to show all changes as "final' like Word 2010 does by using "Final" before we accept/reject these changes. It appears that "View Selected Item" of the active topic may work the same way as I am hoping and shows all changes as if they were already accepted. Am I correct?
I haven't heard from anyone in the forum so I wonder if I wasn't clear enough? I am just trying to find out how you can view track changes seen inside a project's topics as if they were accepted, without having actually accepted them yet. I see that when I select the "View Selected Item" button I see everything, whether it inserted or deleted. Is that the only way to get a feel of what the final topic would 'look' like?

SHOW ALL / HIDE ALL BUTTONS produce error in chm but not in "View Selected Item"

My SHOW ALL and HIDE ALL buttons work in the View Selected
Item mode. However, the compiled version generates an error tag:

In short, the the compiled chm is located in the SSL. I tried

2) I pasted btnhideall.gif, btnshowall.gif, printerblue.gif
into
a) RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder > SSL
b) they are also listed in RoboHelp 6.0 > Project Folder
3)The Project Manager > Baggage File originally displayed

b) ehelp.xml

I opened the Baggage File > Project (Name) folder,
selected New Baggage File, and added, respectively:

vii. root.fpj
4) I also opened rhbag.apj in Notepad. It shows

b) the remaining baggage files are accomanied by

5) Finally, I used Notepad to display two topic files in
which the error message identified a Line: XX. In one case the line
# is 42, in another, 19. In both cases, when I counted lines,
starting with <body>, I ended up on:

However, I am none the wiser for my effort and don't know
what (5) might be telling me.
6) The only thing I can think of is that the compiled chm
file is two levels away from the Project Name directory that holds
all the files. The files live in Robohelp 6.0 > Project Name
while the compiled help is found in Robohelp 6.0 > Project Name
> SSL! > MicroSoft_HTML_Help > Project Name.chm.
Should I be adjusting the Relative Path within the topics?

Hide all tabs in Personal Number Search Help

Hi Experts,
In Assest Master AS01, there is a personal number field. When user click on search icon from this field, system has to show only newly added elementary search help tab and hide all standard elementary search helps tabs tagged to Collective Search help PREM.
Collective search help tagged to Personal number is PREM. I am able to hide all elementary search helps by adding some code in search help exit "HRMC_PREM_EXIT_A " and can see newly added search help. But with addition to this tab there is one more search help tab is apperaing. Name of the appered search help is "Free Search". I checked PREM but there is no any elementary search help with this name.
The reason behind adding new search tab is user should not see sensitive data and personal details.
Can anybody tell me how to hide this tab? Your suggation(any enhancement point) is highly needed for me.
