  • New iTunes 10 removed my recent apps purchased on ipad! what's with that?!

Isn't new iTunes 10 supposed to be smarter? I recently purchased about 10 to 20 apps on ipad, they have been removed during the sync after I upgraded iTunes 10. I know I can just list the apps I had and download them for free, but I don't remember each of those app names. I have to go back to my purchase history and search if app is in ipad, then re-download it if it's removed. I happen to purchase lots of music too! That's lots of work! jesus! This is really silly! Why is iTunes 10 doing that?

It did not work. The apps i purchased on ipad, has been removed by itunes during the sync. So I do not have these apps on my mac, and they are not on the ipad app sync list!
By the way, I did more than ONE syncs, itunes removes a few of apps from ipad each time, not all by once together. After the 2nd last sync, my music library was empty on ipad, even I have checked to sync entire music library on iTunes. and the last sync, I got my music back to ipad. I have thousands of songs, so I have no idea which ones are gone or they are all synced. The sync is not stable, and I have no idea what's it's doing. I do not have the energy to figure out exactly which songs or apps has been removed from ipad or my mac each time after sync. This is frustrating and disappointing. I have been using itunes for years, I would never expect such things from itunes.

  • How to get a refund of In-App Purchase in iPad?

My son was playing around with my iPad and accidentally purchased the Color and Mixer tool in Paper by FiftyThree application on my iPad.
I can get a refund for any APP purchased through the App Store from my iTunes Purchase History, but, when I click 'Report A Problem' on the 'Paper by FiftyThree, Color', it direct me to a link to the iTunes Support page.
How can I get my refund, each costs $1.99 which is important for me.

Apple's policy states that, "all sales are final" > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
But, if you are having issues with the app, you can at least ask for a refund.

  • Trying to unhide and hide app purchases via itunes on iOS 6.1.3

I am trying to unhide and hide apps on itunes from my apple account. I do the process to unhide and hide them and itlooks like it worked but then when i go back to the purchased page of the app store, nothing happened. WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!?

    Are you following these instructions?

  • ICloud synching In-App purchase from iPad mini to iPad 2, but won't sync the other way.

I do Quality Assurance work for a company that produces an iOS application available in the App Store.  Right now I am trying to test license purchase and renewal and I'm seeing odd behavior with iCloud synchronization.
-Currently our app is available in a limited version as a free download
-We then utilize the In-App purchase feature to purchase a license and gain access to the full app
-After purchasing the license, the license is synched through iCloud so that any device logged in with the same iCloud account should get full access to the app as well.
Currently I am using an iPad Mini and an iPad 2 for testing on Apple's Sandbox site, both using iOS 6.1.3.
The behavior I'm currently seeing is that purchasing a license using the iPad mini will sync via iCloud to the iPad 2 within a matter of seconds, but purchasing the license using the iPad 2 will never transfer the license information over to the Mini.
Has anybody seen similar issues or knows what the cause may be?
    Thanks!

I have no idea about anything associated with ios app developing, but apple developers do. From what I hear there is a developers forum here somewhere as well as support site. Should be something like developer.apple.com or similar to that - Google, if I am wrong. From my personal experience of troubleshooting I would suggest trying another ipad, since "one side" behavior is to me obvious glitch on one of the ipads. I am going to assume that you already checked all settings to be the same. So you get another ipad and see which one of the three does not play and then troubleshoot that one. I d start with rechecking all settings under privacy and so on. And end with factory restore. Good luck.

  • Can't hide app purchases in iTunes store

I"ve gone through all the proper steps to hide purchased apps in my account, but when I scroll my mouse over the individual apps, I don't get an "x" that is supposed to appear.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I've got tons of apps in there that my sons downloaded over the years that I would like to "hide" since they are not on my account anymore. I'm trying to clean up the account to reflect what my wife and I want to see.
    Thanks

    I figured it out...
If you scroll you mouse over the upper left hand corner of the app (where the x should be), a "finger" will appear. It's like the "x" is hidden, but the ability to delete it is still there (if that makes sense). Clicking in that spot will make the app "hide".  Not sure why the x's have disappeared, but hopefully this helps others trying to clean up their app purchases. I have hundreds of them that are not applicable anymore, and don't really want to see them hanging around. I'd rather be able to just delete them.

  • Cannot transfer app purchased on iPad to PC

I purchased an app at the App store on my iPad. I can't sync it back to my PC running Windows 7 and iTunes 9.1. I've cleared the sync history, and deauthorized and reauthorized my PC, and it makes no difference. Apps purchased on my PC can be transferred to the iPad, but not the other way around.
When syncing, I get an error about Some of the purchased items on the ipad "name" including "Program" could not be transferred to your itunes library because you are not authorized to play them on this computer.
    Ralph

You will get a second message saying you won't be charged but if you're concerned, just download a free app, any one will do, first to your iPad, then try to transfer it to your PC. Presumably it won't transfer so then download it again directly through iTunes on your PC and try to transfer again.
Oh one more thing: did you register your iPad during the initial setup sync? iTunes should have asked you if you wanted to register the iPad now or later. If you picked later, maybe the iPad isn't being recognized by iTunes as an authorized device. I'm not sure my speculation is right because if that were the case, I don't think you should be able to transfer apps from PC to iPad but you can do that. But I'm just throwing out ideas. If you haven't registered the iPad yet, maybe go ahead and do so.

Maybe you have to select "Sync Apps" then right click on your name here iPad and Transfer Purchases
I hope I could help you

  • I cannot make in-app purchases on iPad

Like it says on the tin, I have not been able to do this for some time now.

I'm having the same issue - contacted Itunes support - fixes the problem for a day then can not make in app purchases. The support people(& I've spoken to numerous people) say its a glitch on their end and the Engineers are looking into it. That was 3 days ago and no word - I was told to expect an e-mail from them within 24-48 hours. I have had to now go out and by Itunes cards just to make in app purchases. Originally they told me it was my credit card - changed cards and no difference, then I contacted my credit card company(s) and was told no issues with my card(s) - all up to date. Its quite frustrating dealing with these folks with no resolution.

  • Does Apple charge taxes on in-app purchases on ipad?

I want to do an in-app purchase of 24.99 US dollars by using a 25-dollar gift card. Will Apple charge me more than 24.99USD (as a tax, for example) and therefore I might need a 50-dollar gift card?

You will be charged your state's tax rate on top of the item's listed price

  • Music and Apps Purchased on iPad, sync to computer???

Hey, I'm very new and don't understand how this works. I've downloaded a few albums and a bunch of apps directly through WiFi on my Ipad. If I sync to my computer, will all of the apps and music be gone on the Ipad? I just want to make sure there's a backup... thanks! I've also downloaded one album to iTunes on my PC. Can I put that album on my ipad?

Ok, because I synced it originally on my laptop and then I took it to work and authorized that computer also. After that, I ripped all of my cd's and transfered it to my ipad. After that I backed up the library on my work computer and transferred it to my laptop. I am trying to use my laptop as the main device... ok, so I'll manually transfer all of the purchases and then sync. Wish me luck!

  • Apps purchased on iPad are being deleted when syncing with iTunes

    Hi,
I am having a problem with the apps that I purchase using my iPad not syncing with iTunes. I have purchased several apps and books. When I use my iPad to make the purchase and then plug the device into my computer to allow it to sync, iTunes goes through the process of backing up the iPad and then transfering purchases over. When it gets to the step for syncing tracks it goes and removes all of the apps that it just said it was transfering the purchases over for. Nothing I do seems to work to fix this issue so that the apps aren't removed when I sync. So far the only ones that stay on my computer and device are the apps that I used my computer to buy and then are synced onto my iPad. Please let me know what to do about this as I have lost several apps.
    Thanks
    Josef

I am not sure what the problem could be.
You may want to try disabling auto-sync, make some purchases on your iPad, and then transfering the purchases and see if they show up in your iTunes library and the checkbox for the apps are checked for syncing to your iPad. If they are then you can try syncing and see if that deletes them from your iTunes library.
The link for instructions on transfering your purchase is as follows:

  • New apps purchased on ipad not synching with iphone 4S.  This a new problem.  No problem in the past

Purchased new apps on ipad.  Purchases did not synch with iphone 4.  Purchases are listed in my itunes account and on my ipad, however, they are mot listed as purchased on iphone 4s.  this is a new problem.  I did not have any probelms in the past wit apps synching with iphone 4.

It does, but I use the SoundNote App because it records audio and allows me to draw diagrams in the document. Any thoughts on syncing the SoundNote files to the mini? I am sure it can be done with a wire, but I have a disability which makes it difficult to plug and unplug cords, so the more I can do wirelessly or through the Cloud the better. Thanks for your help! I am really grateful.

  • HT4928 THe instructions given to hide apps do not fit with what is coming up on my screen.  IT says go to purchases and then click on the x next to the app you wish to hide.  There is no x next to the icons on my screen.  Please help.

I am trying to hide apps on an iPad, but the instructions given to hide apps do not fit with what is coming up on my screen.
IT says go to purchases and then click on the x next to the app you wish to hide.
There is no x next to the icons on my screen.
Can someone please tell me in easy steps what to do.
    Thanks

Reread the instructions. You cannot hide purchases on the iPad itself if you are running iOS 6 or higher. You have to hide the purchases in iTunes on your computer - not on the iPad.
