Hide controls

Hi I am streaming a video through IE on windows 7 x64 and i was just wondering if there is any way to hide the control bar at the bottom or set it to auto hide when I move the move over it thanks

Most sites will automatically hide the controls when you don't move the mouse for a short period of time.
Sites that don't, well, they don't.

Hide Controlling Area from Cost center in report

Hi Experts,
I have Costcenter as reporting field in BW report. Controlling Area is compunding char for Cost center.
In the report, it shows both values (cost center and controlling area) when i use cost center in query. foreg. KO01/C123456 as key.
(KO01 is controlling area and C123456 is Cost center)
Is there any way to ONLY display Costcenter value in report??

You can add controlling area IO in the line and hide it (in properties set never display) or you can also insert it in filter with fix value KO01.

Flash Video - white box flashes, hide controls

Hi, I am working on a website for an artist

when home.htm loads, a white box flashes (maybe
FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf?) before the video starts playing. is
there a way to make this box black or invisible?
also, the artist doesn't want the controls to show at all. is
there a way to autoplay the video and hide the controls?

Hide Control panel in full screen mode

Today I installed Quicktime Pro on an XP Pro platform (IBM Thinkpad) fully updated. I ran a quicktime ".mov" movie. I was unable to hide the control panel, despite selecting "hide after 2 seconds" in Edit\Preferences\Quicktime Player\. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime Pro. No change. No one at Apple can help me. This is for my mother's memorial service and I am very frustrated. Any ideas?

Perhaps I was not clear. The control panel is what I am calling the on screen panel that controls the Play, Stop, Pause, Reverse, Forward functions of Quicktime. That panel does not automatically hide when it is set in Edit/Preferences to hide after some period of time (seconds). Further, not all the hot keys function. I deinstalled and reinstalled. No remedy. Bottom line - no one at Apple could help and I am disappointed and hoping Apple will refund my money. My PC OS is fully updated.

Need to Hide Controls when FLV starts playing

I am using FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf
and Clear_Skin_1.swf to load and auto-play FLV video on a
website.
It works great but the video controls are visible on top of
the video.
I want to hide the controls!
I spent several hours to find a way how to hide the controls
(Play/Stop) when video starts playing.
Anyone knows how to do this?

I have the same desire to have video controls hidden unless
mouse activity. As robertvo stated, FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf with
any of the Clear_Skin_*.swf skins, shows video controls when movie
starts. I am embedding player in html and have set skinAutoHide in
flashvars parameter as follows but it has no affect:

Hide controls flash video (flv)

Is there a way to hide the controls on a flash video (flv) until the user scrolls over the video? So the page opens, the video starts playing (still no controls visable) and then when a user scrolls over the video, you then see the controls for the first time. I have searched high and low.

I can't view the code in the library or action script. I am using a default skins (Corona Skin 3) that you apply through dreamweaver "Insert Media > Flash Video". I open up the skin in Flash, but it is a swf and I can't seem to find any code to alter.

I did find a more transparent skin, so If I can't figure it out, maybe he can live with it.
I am not experienced in editing the skins, so I apologize for being a little naive.

How to hide controls/indicators for different user selection?

I am trying to simulate time interval analyzer using labview tools but I have a problem in making identical screen as it is on HP 5371A. The only problem is when you choose different arming mode, text pops up on the bottom with different parameters for every mode. So I am trying to build my front panel so that I will have identical features as on HP screen but how can I make some controls/variables (such as delay in secs) dissappear from F.P. for particular arming modes and then again appear for other cases (modes). What you'll need to do is to use a while loop to monitor the state of the control. Based on that, you can make other controls visible or invisible, change the strings of a single control, or make controls enabled or disabled. I've attached a simple VI that shows how to make multiple controls visible and invisible. I've only done a few of the arming mode options. For a complete solution, you're going to have a lot of property nodes and I would look at using control references inside of a sbVI. Another way to do it is to forget about emulating the instrument's panel altogether and use the versatility of a computer screen. You've got a lot more real estate than most instruments and have things like tab controls that a user can select.

Tab control strict typedef hides controls

"Has the issue of no typedef tabs been resolved in LV7? I am modifying a LV61 vi and severely broke the panel trying to convert a tab to a typedef. I was able to customize, however there was a compile/save error and all the embedded controls on the tab pages became hidden and un retrievable."

Show/Hide controls?

I'm building a concert of all my "go to" patches...a bunch are B3 kinda things and a bunch are everything else (pianos, synths, splits, etc). What I want to do is have the B3 drawbars visible and working for the B3 patches, but not visible on the other patches that don't use a B3.
Again, the idea is that this would be all in the same concert.
Is this even possible? Some trickery?

I've tried it a couple of times and this doesn't seem to be the case with the drawbar controls.
I added the group of drawbars in layout and assigned each drawbar to the appropriate upper manual drawbar inside EVB3 in edit mode. When I switch to Perform or Fullscreen, the drawbars move to the correct setting when I go to the B3 patch, but when I switch to a non-B3 patch (and not assigned), the drawbars change to full (8) and are still completely visible and not grayed out.
Something else I noticed that's odd about Mainstage, in general, it doesn't really want to show the value of something onscreen. Meaning, I'd like something visible to show me if the Leslie is in choral or fast mode, but it doesn't report the change...if you know what I mean. It just wants to duplicate hardware controls instead of having the ability to show values on the screen. Does that make sense?
Anyway, it would be great if Mainstage had that ability.

How to show or hide a control in front panel

Hi All, I am revising the code from someone else, and a control in front panel seems to be hidden until you click something to make it show. I tried to use right click in front panel and it did not work by clicking something related to show or hide. Since I don't quite familiar with property nodes, this hidden setting may be related to that.
In the picture it shows the front panel and its two property nodes, could anyone advise me how to change the setting to show this control? Thank you!

If you right-click on the the control's terminal, you will see an option to "Hide Control" or "Show Control". This is what you should use when editing the code. The property nodes set to Visible are for when the application is running.

Hide ActiveX Control

Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to use an ActiveX control supplied by a camera manufacturer (ImagingSource - http://www.imagingcontrol.com/en_US/support/documentation/iclabviewextension/). The control itself is the display of the camera image. However, I wish to use the IMAQ image indicator because it has the ROI tools built into it. The library that came with the control also has a conversion from the native ActiveX control image to an IMAQ image so conversion is not an issue.
My problem is that I only want to have to IMAQ image displayed, not the image from the ActiveX control. When I right click the control from the block diagram and select "Hide Control" the control disappears, however when I save the VI the control reappears. I also tried to create a property node to hide the control but it does not have that option available.
Has anyone else encountered a problem like this? If so, how did you resolve it?

Thanks for your response.
So I didn't mention this in the initial post but I can't event select the control on the front panel. If I want to delete it I have to delete it from the block diagram. I can however resize it so I was able to place it properly. It is definitely not a native LabVIEW object! I attempted to hide the control and save again and lo and behold it didn't reappear (and hasn't after several more changes were committed and saved). I'm not really sure what the issue was but it doesn't seem to be a problem now. Again, thanks for the reply.

Custom control for list of string,numeric values

Hi,
I want to create a control in labView 6.1 that presents the user with a list
of string values on the front panel. The actual strings are material names
(e.g. Si, Al). With each string value would be associated a floating point
value that would then be used on the diagram for some numerical processing.
What I have done is create an array of {string,digital control} clusters,
but it looks kind of clunky on the front panel. Is there a more elegant
solution?

Some ideas that I use when making this kind of button:
Make an array of clusters of {string, numeric, boolean} in which:
The numeric is hidden (right click menu/advanced/hide control) (skip
this if you want the numeric to display
and
The boolean is colored TRANSPARENT and overlaid on the string. So it
it seems to the user that he clicks on the string but in fact clicks
on an invisible boolean.
Another idea is to combine the strings and booleans into one set of
buttons by making a cluster of identical booleans arranged so that
they look like an array and setting the boolean text on each button
to the desired string.
These ideas imply writing some radio button logic to generate an
index to select the desired numeric element. This is more work than it

Easiest is to use events and convert the mouse coordinates into an
array index. I just made one of these and I have the code handy if
you like.

Is it possible to use a Case Structure to hide numeric indicators on the Front panel when they are not in use?

I am rather new to LabVIEW, have only been using it for about 1.5 weeks as of this post, which means I may be missing something rather obvious due to ignorance, but is there any way to have my front panel change as my case changes due to user selection of a certain case via the front panel?
The goal of the program is to make a simple layout for a user that is using the digital multimeter that the proposed code is designed for and I don't want tons of numeric controllers and such clogging up the screen space that don't work with the function the user is using to measure with.

Class: Control Properties
Displays the front panel control.
This property is similar to the Show Control and Hide Control options on the shortcut menu of a control.
Also look at the TAB control to control which controls are available to your user.

How can you place a video with no controls? HTML5 CSS3

I would like to just place my video (MP4) and have it come into the page actual size with no controls, set to autoplay and loop. Can anyone tell me how to write the code to accomplish this?? Thanks in advance!!

it's really a banner type image that I created in Flash... it's not a "real video" I converted it to video so it would play on OS devices.
I take it you might not have an iOS device. Even if you hide controls, the OS has it's own controls for videos that will show up for users. Seeing as how Adobe just gave Flex to Apache this morning ( http://www.macworld.com/article/163699/2011/11/adobe_donates_flex_to_apache.html ), you might want to try Google's tool for exporting Flash as HTML5 for your banner if it's an animation you want to play. If it's a rotating banner, I'd recommend a JQuery option.
