What could be reason is there any updated SAP Note.
Kindly Advice
Regards,
Mohammed

Hi
Do you mantain this authoritation object in tcode PFCG for the users?. Remember that if your VPRS cond. in your pricing procedure have the counter 10 you must write in the parameter for this auth.object 010. In my actual system I don't have applied this note, so I cannot check it in detail, only that I remember (4-5 years ago).
I hope this helps you
Regards
Eduardo

  • Assign manual cost and profit center for 3rd party purchase order

When we have a 3rd party purchase order we need to assign OUR cost and profit center to that document.  Here is the scenario:
We buy a product from a vendor for $10 and then re-sell the product to a customer for $100.  Instead of posting this information to either cost or profit center of the vendor and customer, we need to assign the $10 to our company cost center and the $90 to our company's profit center.  We are basically acting as a middle man for selling a product.
I am fairly a newbie, so please provide detailed answers if possible.  We create the sales order in VA01 and create the purchase order in ME22N.

    HI Kapil,
For any accounting entry you need to define a General Ledger Account where the details (Amount) of the transaction will be stored.
Just by maintaining cost centre will not help in completing any transaction involving accounts. So you need to  maintain G/L account in the controlling area of your company code.
You can use T Code FS00 to create new G/L account in the chart of accounts.
In the edit cost element Tab you can give the cost center that you want.
    I hope this helps.

  • Freight charges not to be included in the Net value and Profit margin

    Hi Gurus,
My client dosent want shipping charges to be included in the net value, but it should appear in the price and also the shipping charges should not be considered in calculating the profit margin.
Another point is my sale price is cost plus 20% profit. So in my pricing starting point is EK02 and PR00 is 120% of EK02(maintained condition recored for PR00 as 120% of EK02). pls advice if this is correct way of doing it.

V/06  open the freight condition type and Tick the field accruals in control data 2
assign the account key in pricing for accruals.

  • Carry forward a Cost and Profit Center Budget to the next fiscal year

    Good day SAP Gurus
How do i carry forward Cost Center and Profit Center  Budget from one fiscal year to the next fiscal year?

    Hello,
You would not be able to carry forward these plan values becuase they are planned with respect to a particular period and year. The budgets only get carry forward for cost objects like orders and WBS where the objective is to accomplish a particular job.
    Kind Regards // Shaubhik

  • Cost and Profit Centre Authorization

    Dear all.
I want to impose authorization for the following case:
for instance, a user is working on transaction fb50. His requirement is to perform authorization on the line item at cost centre so that when he presses F4 on the Cost Centre field only those cost centres should be available that are assigned to him.
    <b>for example</b>:
user A can see cost centre(s) to which he has given access to.
How can I, being a basis administrator assign him this authorization ?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Morten!
I think i've mentioned my problem partially.
After we press F4, we have to select a cost center. After selection, the window shows all cost centers at my end. I want to impose authorization here based on indiviual users (i.e. after selecting the cost center), and NOT on F4 menu.
    Sorry for the confusion.

  • Cost Centers and Profit centers default

    Hi,
Apart from OKB9 settings where else we can design for default cost and profit centers.
    thanks
    RP

    Hi,
For cost centres you can set the default directly in cost element master data (KA02). Regarding profit centre, you can use 3KEH transaction.

  • Cost centers and profit centers mapping

    Hi Friends,
I'm through with defining cost and profit centers. How do I map the cost centers and profit centers. I've gone ahead and assigned the cost elements to cost centers in OKB9, giving 2-Business area mandatory.
I'm just done with defining the profit centers, but i dont have an idea how do I map the profit centers.
    pls suggest.

  • Assignment of cost centers and profit centers

    Hi Friends,
can anybody give me a series of steps of assignment of cost centers and profit centers, like I know there is a T.code 3KEH, but I really dont know the chronological (step by step) order of steps to be followed to assign the cost centers to profit centers, as profit centers cannot be directly posted to and as the postings.
And above all when I see the info about 3KEH, it says we need to assign only balance sheet items there and not cost items.
Basically I've not studied Profit center accounting Properly and so I'm facing this problme
If there is any documentation on this can anyone pass this on to: kiransandhyaATyahooDOTcom
    regards
    sandhya

    Hi Sridhar,
Thnx for replying. I've gone ahead and defined cost and profit centers and did what you have told me to. Now this is where I'm stranded. How do I map profit and cost centers so that the we get the right kind of reports.
Basically, my question would be: say for eg: if we are defining Company, Co.Code, before completing with Global paramters, there are a series of steps that we need to complete, right.
Like wise, I just wanted to have a series of mandatory steps that I need to follow where the cost centers and profit centers mapping is done, atleast if I have the steps with me then I can go ahead and check the logic as to why should I define a particular step.
Like I mentioned I happened to see some information about 3KEI, so before going to 3KEI or 3KEH, are there any other steps that I need to follow.
I need to get the cost center and profit center reports, so that is what I'm looking for, and what do i need to configure, before getting to that point?
I dont have a great insight into PCA, and I was not a part of the controlling configuration, but because a person has left in between the project, I'm supposed to do this and that is the reason why I dont have much time in doing R&D, and thats the whole reason why I'm seeking inputs which would actually minimise my time of R&D, once I'm able to convince my people, then again I can sit back and try to improvise my self.

    Hi all,
    I found the solution,
My procedure was perfect but for the following
In my pricing procedure I had to "check" statistical  feild for both VPRS and Profit margin, its tested and working fine.

  • Hide the cost and margin fields on Sales Orders and Invoices

    Hi all,
I need to hide the cost and margin fields in Sales Orders and Invoices. We sell our products to our employees sometimes, hence we don't want them to know cost and margin information.
    Can this be done?
    Cheers

Go to VOV7 & as per the Item category ,de - select the Check Box Determine Cost.
Else remove the Condition Type VPRS & Margin Condition type from the Pricing Procedure
    Best Regards,

  • Can we hide 'profit margin' in the sales order

I looked in the config, but I did not find any control that will hide the profit margin on the sales order.
Does anybody know if the only way to do this is to actually take off the 'profit margin' from the pricing procedure?
    Thanks
    Bindu

    Hi bindu,
if u want to hide profit margin in sales order ,is it captured thru some condition type? if yes then use alternative condition base formula in pricing procedure with either 27 or 56 .if business logic doesnot suit with this std routine then u can write ur own routine in VOFM transaction with abapper's help.
it is cent % possible to do,and this is the only way also.
if you also do not want to show this PM in invoice output then untick printing option in pricing procedure for this condition type.
please reward if this helps !!!!!!
