We want to hide Detailed Navigation Area and Portal favorites area for some specific roles.

Hi,
1. You have to create a seperate desktop.
2. Inside the desktop, the framework which you are assigning will contain Desktop innerpage, Masthead and Top level navigation page.
3. You need to copy the desktop inner page and paste with different name (since it is a standard page)
4. Now open the custom desktop inner page and remove the iviews what ever you dont want.
5. So now your framework page will not have the detailed navigation anymore.
6. Then we need to set master rule collection to load this desktop for a specific role using if... then condition.
Finally the role will have only which ever the iviews you have selected in desktop inner page.

hi,
you can do using default frame work page.
1.go in portal_content/portal_users/standard_portal_users
2.open default frame work page unclick the top_level_navigation
then you wont be able to see TLN

Default Detailed navigation and Portal Favorites naming and sections

Hi,
I want to manipulate the 'Detailed Navigation' and 'Portal Favorites' on left side menu of my manuscreen. I want to rename them and manipulate to add my own iViews fixed iViews under the Portal Fvorites.
Now, I do find the Portal favorites default iView under ortal menu Content provided by SAP - end user content - Standard Portal Roles, but it is an iView, and I can't add iViews to an iView.
I don't find the default Detailed Navigation iView nor page.
Does anyone know how I can change these settings to fit my menu, without having to create a pop-up page?

Hi,
To fine the Detailed navigation iview:
Goto Content provided by SAP >end user content>standard portal users>Default framework page>open Desktop innerpage-->here you see detailed navigation iview..
Change the name of the iview goto iview property-->Change the Name property...
Add ur iview in to the role & open it.. It will open in the content area then add this iview to portal favorites..click on the right top corner menu & select Add toportal favorites...

This is not related to theme.
Set the property "Invisible in Navigation panel" to closed or always closed.

Where is the Detailed navigation and related link configured for the ESS/MSS.
Is it done in the Homepage Framework configuration?
I could see different navigation and related links for different worksets within ESS/MSS getting called dynamically. Where is this configured.

If you haven't made it at this point, this is indeed done via the Home Page Framework via the backend on the following IMG PATH:
> Cross-Application Components
> Homepage Framework
1. You make a resource available via the Role (via PCD)
2. You customize every other part as a cascade:
Define Area group / Headers
-> Define Areas / Assign Area to Area Group
-> Define Subareas / Assign subarea to Area
-> Define Services / Assign Services to Subarea.

I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with your Sync account.
Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:

After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
* At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
* Once the options window opens, click on the Sync tab.
* At the bottom of the Sync tab click on '''Deactivate this Device''' link

Helpviewer displays empty window for some applications

I just went to check Help in Mail for something and got a blank window. I've seen this before so i walked through the X-Labs excellent "Troubleshooting HelpViewer" article, which has helped me in the past. But the basic dumping of cache files and mail related plist files did not help.
As suggested in the X-Labs article I enabled tracing for HelpViewer, lots of data information when invoking Helpviewer works, but not much when it doesn't, the following is typical:

Any Suggestions? Only major recent change was the 10.4.4 upgrade a few days ago, but i don't know if this problem existed prior to that.

Search Macupdate.com or Apple main page for Onyx, and in the "Automation" section there is a option to reset Mac OS X help.
The system optimization and cache cleaning should be done about once a month to optimize the system a little bit.

I have a requirement to restrict the access of "InPlaceRecordsListSettings.aspx" and "InPlaceRecordsSettings.aspx" pages for some of the users and allow the access for some of the users.
I have applied the below code on the web.config file but this modification impacting only on the web application level not on the site collection and sub site level.

You can't do it from OOTB.
_layout folder is accessible to the users if they have read access in any of the site even subsite.
You can modify *.aspx file, add your custom control which will check user.

I moived files either to trash if not needed, and others to other external drives. I went into disk utility and did a repair disk permission and verify disk. Clean out junk files. Now my hdtv/monitor does not give me any sound, nor does my mac mini. Can someone please tell me what to do?

I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? The first image I use is a JPG 72dpi 1500px x1500px and I want to downsize it to 600x600px same res, but it keeps pixelating, this has never happened before. Any suggestions, thoughts?

I wouldn't say pixelated; more like blurry.
Like ConnectedCreative said, what steps are you using? Are you using "bicubic sharper" when resizing down?
