Hide DW Search Panel

Is there any way to permanently hide the search results
panel? It pops up after and find or search and replace. The window
takes up too much screen space on a laptop and takes the window
focus.
I've been using DW for 5 years and don't see how to do this
in the config files. Thanks for your help!!!

No. Pressing F7 minimizes it. Another thing you can try is
detaching the
Results panel from the rest of the panel group and floating
it. It still
opens, but pressing F7 closes it completely - at least that's
how it
works in the CS4 beta.

  • Not render any field search criteria initially in Advanced Search Panel

    Hi Everyone!
    It's possible to hide or remove all field search criterias initially in Advanced search panel. We need that initially doesn't exist any field search and the user use the 'Add another' option when him need add search criterias.
    Thanks,
    Carlos C.

    Your solution to the indexing issue with the LIKE operator is taking a small issue and making a big issue out of it.
    Why not just fix the initial problem with basic tuning techniques ... for example a hint would force index usage.
    So might having accurate statistics. So might tuning one or more optimizer parameters a small amount.
    You have chosen the wrong solution for a very small problem thus you are where you are.

  • Problem with Date fields in Search panel

    Hi all,
    I use TP2 and in my jspx page I have a search panel with two date fields and table where the results is displayed. But there is a problem with these date fields, because when I search dates the results is nothing even I retype the date from table. Also I have other pages where this problem exist with same structure.
    Could somebody help me with some advice?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Frank,
    Thanks for the answer.
    I use the standart method to make search panel with drag and drop the data control to the page. The other search panel fileds work fine, only the date fileds are problem. Maybe something in view object doesn't work properly.
    Here I post the code from my page.

  • Search panel in Acrobat 9 Mac disappeared to unusable vertical sliver

    Running Acrobat 9.3 on Snow Leopard, the Search Panel has become a tiny vertical sliver only just visible – see attachment. It is unusable. The drop down Window dialog shows the Search window as active. I cannot find out how to restore the Search panel to its usual size to make it usable again. Clicking on the sliver - it is just possible – ticks or un-ticks the Search window in the Window list. Advice, please, on possible solutions? Is this a Snow Leopard issue?

    Sorry, but I find above descriptions too vague to be really that helpful. Here an explicit help: In the state of having a pdf window open and the search window is visible only as a vertical sliver, you can restore it by following these steps: 1) Choose menu command "Window -> Search". As a result that menu command should now have a checkmark to its left. 2) Choose menu command "Window -> Zoom" and the Search window fills the screen.
    In case you can't even see the vertical slilver and are wondering where the Search window is, you can figure out whether you have actually this vertical sliver problem or not by executing in Adobe Reader command "Application windows", by default F10, or command "All windows", by default F9. The missing Search window should then at least show itself as clearly visible vertical sliver labelled "Search". If that's the case, execute above 2 steps to regain control over the Search window.
    This vertical sliver problem is clearly a bug in Adobe Reader 9.3.2 and Adobe Acrobat 9.3.2. I have also observed it since a long time in previous versions. It is sufficient to switch screens, e.g. by disconnecting from an external screen while Adobe Reader has some pdf's open and you may end up with an unusable Search window. Logout, restart, menu commands "Window -> Cascade" nor "Window -> Tile" are of any use to regain control over the Search window. This should of course not be the case and the programmers of these Adobe products should ensure that always some minimal size of the Search window is retained under all circumstances independently of current display use, so that the Search window can always be grabbed by its title bar and its lower right corner size box remains active for a resize.
    As an enhancement these Adobe products should offer a command, e.g. menu command, Arrange Window as is offered now AFAIK only in the Search window as tool in the top left corner. Then any currently topmost pdf window could be arranged together with the Search window for searching. Such a menu command (or toolbar command) would also help to overcome the vertical sliver problem in a manner that is probably more intuitive and more easily found by users than the method described above.

  • How to hide Saved Searches in the header area of web ui

    Hi All,
    My Query Is how to hide Saved Searches in the header area of web ui.
    For This is there any configuration or we have do through the code.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Venkat

    Another approach:
    Open view CRM_WORKAREAHDR/WorkAreaHeader and change the configuration. There is a button in the bar named "Attributes" (probably hidden under MORE).
    Once in there in edit mode substitute the content of attribute "UI_COMPONENT_3". It should be
    Window=CRM_ALLSEARCHES.CRM_ALLSEARCHES/LauncherWindow;horizontalAlignment=right;
    put there a
    Width=0px;
    The other way using business role is fine as well.
    cheers Carsten

  • Add new item in Search Panel

    Requirement: Within a query region, add a new field to the results table and enable search by this field.
    Approach:
    - I added a new column within the results table by extending the VO. The search allowed property for this column is set to Yes.
    - I added an LOV Input Item to the Simple Search Panel. Set the External LOV property to use a standard LOV Region/
    I am trying to a create a Query criteria Map to map these two items. I am able to find my LOV input item in the Search Item property of the Query Criteria Map. However, I am unable to find the new column i added in the Results Item property of the Query Criteria Map.
    Please advise.

    Dear Dilip Kumbhar,
    Please try following code:
    Set objBOM = objcompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oProductTrees)
    objBOM.GetByKey ("test")
    objBOM.Items.Add
    objBOM.Items.SetCurrentLine (objBOM.Items.Count - 1)
    objBOM.Items.ItemCode = "A00001"
    objBOM.Items.Quantity = 1
    objBOM.Update

  • Search Panel in Master-Detail Page

    Hi experts,
    I've stuck to a wierd problem, where i've implemented a master-detail relationship in a page. This works fine.
    I've also created a search page seperately for this. But now, i'm confused on how to add an item into the searchPanel which would be mapped with a detail attribute.
    For E.g:
    ===============================================================
    SearchPage: (1st Page)
    Item1 __________________
    Item2 __________________
    Item3 __________________
    GO CLEAR
    ResultsTable:
    Item1 || Item2 || Item3
    ==============================================================
    CreatePage: (2nd Page)
    Master Details.... CANCEL APPLY
    Item1 ____________________
    Item2 ____________________
    Item3 ____________________
    Details .....
    Item4 || Item5 || Item6
    CANCEL APPLY
    ===================================================================
    **Now i wanna add "Item4" into the search panel of the SearchPage. I hope its clear to you, in case not, just poke me once.
    Regards
    Ari

    Oh !! Gosh Keerthi,
    I know that, how to add attributes into the searchPanel. U're not getting the pulse of the problem. Lemme explain it once again...
    I've got two VOs .. Lets say !! MasterTableVO and DetailTableVO.
    Now in the "SearchPage", i've referenced only the MasterTableVO from advancedTable and got simpleSearchPanel on advancedTable where i've 3 items ITEM1,ITEM2,ITEM3 (these 3 r MasterTableVO attributes.)
    **As this is a master-detail page .. so for each master table record, there r multiple detail records entered in the 2nd Page.
    Now supposedly, i wanna search only those master detail records in the SearchPage which contains a certain "XYZ" value for the ITEM4(this is in DetailTableVO) in the detail records.
    So, To your inquiry .. No, Item4 doesn't exists in the VO referenced in the advancedTable of the SearchPage.
    Regards
    Ari :)

  • Need information on Search panel In ADF

    Hi All,
    I have trying to develop a jspx page with table and Query panel.
    I have successfully made the page and included some functionalities.
    while editing something on the source, i have accidently removed a required property because of which the search panel is got disturbed.
    Before editing, by default when the page render the "Match" field will be selecting 'ALL' check box.
    But now neither ALL nor ANY got selected.
    I need to rollback the change i made , such that when a page rendered it need to select "ANY " by default.
    Kindly please some let me know which property is responsible fr this activity.
    Siva

    I'd start with the jspx and if then the VO...
    Sometimes it's easier to setup a new page for testing and drag the VOonto the new page as query with table. Do nothing more, then check out if you get the output you expected.
    From your description I assume that you show the query panel in advanced mode as you otherwise won't see the 'Match' fields. So you should show the query panel in advanced mode on the new page.
    If you now see the expected output, your VO is OK, the error is on the jspx. If you have not changed too much on the query panel you might consider to remove the one on your page and drag it onto the page again, as you did on the testpage.

  • Query Region Personalization on Advanced Search Panel

    Hi all,
    I am trying to personalize query region. I have added a new search item to the advanced search panel and to the table (Search Allowed is set to the true). However when i tried to add a new mapping, I can select result item but the search item displays nothing in its list.
    Therefore i cannot map the items.
    Any solution for this problem?

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • Search panel not working properly for mysql

    JDev 11.1.1.3, MySql 5.1, Windows 7 x64
    When you place a search panel with a table using view criteria on a page the search does not function properly.
    The search criteria is developed as shown in the VO:
    ( (UPPER(Patients.card_number) LIKE UPPER( :pCard || '%') ) OR (UPPER(Patients.full_name) LIKE UPPER( :pName || '%') ) )
    When you press the search button with a blank form - all records are returned correctly
    if you put any data in the search form - it only returns the first record in the table (not related to the criteria).
    if you enter a letter in the name field - it returns no records found.
    Is there a workaround for this? or has someone patched this already?
    Is there a place that you can configure the way the query is built based on the database type?
    also if you use the history columns - you get errors saying sysdate is not valid in the query.
    I noticed the same issue that has already been raised by others (the search criteria does not show in the panel) but this is merely an inconvenience as it shows when it is run).

    Suganth - Umm... there are reasons why this value isn't editable in the design time once you have set it. Ever think about why JDeveloper makes the value read-only? There's also a type map that is non-changeable in the UI; can we hack that too? Unless you know the consequences of changing this (and explain them in your "solution"), you are being irresponsible in posting such a suggestion. If there are no consequences, explain that too, and tell us why the UI prevents you from making this change.
    rogerappl - Hack the jpx file at your own risk. There's a very old [url http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/MySql/MySQL_and_BC_HowTo.html]article on using ADF Business Components with MySQL that talks about the correct settings for these.
    John
    Edit.. Roger I see that you've updated the thread - when you created your business components, did you specify SQL92 flavor originally? What type map did you use?

  • [kde] dolphin has an inactive search panel and no fancy search options

    Hi there,
    I've recently seen a great movie about 'smart folders' in kde. Anyway the idea was to save search results as a place in dolphin. Tried it, but I discovered my 'find' options are limited (e.g. I can't add multiple search conditions) and the new search panel options are all inactive.
    Also the file grouping in View>Show in groups is inactive. I'm somewhat sure it's connected with the unavailability of find options.
    I positive nepomuk and stringi are running. I'm probably missing some packets, though I can't riddle out witch ones.
    Help and guidance appreciated.
    Greetz

    I sow the spot, but that isn't anything new because that is just combination "Find tool" (activated by pressing Ctrl plus F) and "Folder View" widgets! I'm nor sure, but it might need to have installed "extra/kdebase-kfind", I have not tested it without that.
    In the picture that you posted, the right Toolbar (with options Documets, Video ...) was called "Filter" in previous version of Dolphin but now it's named "Search". That tool works on my computer, but that isn't much useful, because results are always same independently on folder - it shows filtered files from all my data. That took a while, since I started Nepomuk and Strigi, to get it active.
    If you look to the help by pressing F1 in Dolphin and go to "The Dolphin Handbook" - "Quick Tips" - "Searching in Files", you realised that Dolphin "Search tool" doesn't do what it is supposed to do!

  • How do I hide the "preview panel" in Mail. Double clicking the "separator bar" hasn't worked ( I think I know where that bar is.)

    How can I hide the "preview panel" in Mail? Double clicking on the "separator bar" , as directed by Mail Help, does nothing. ( I am not certain where that bar is, but believe it to be the zone where the preview panel and the message space meet.) This issue only arose after I upgraded to Mavericks.

    The only way I found to hide the "preview panel" is to drag the separator to the edge of the window. It shrinks the panel down to perhaps 1/2 inch in height and then disappears only when you drag it to the bottom (classic layout) or perhaps a couple inches wide (in the new layout). It is also annoying to me that you can double click to open the preview panel but you cannot repeat that to hide it. [sigh]
    I submitted feedback about the help file as well - you may want to do the same. I could not find the double click mentioned in the new "Mail Help" - I know it was in the old version.

  • Conditionally hide details preview panel in worklist

    Hi,
    I have an issue to conditionally hide details preview panel in worklist app.
    We have some human tasks, which are quite complex and it's impossible to complete them in preview panel.
    I know there is a way to disable this preview panel utterly, but I wouldn't like to throw the baby out with the bathwater and limit worklist for future applications.
    Any ideas? :)
    thanks,
    Krzysztof Polak
    PS. I am using SOA/BPM 11g.

    Navin had a post on this a while back that might help you - How to Customize home page of Oracle BPM Worklist Look at the bottom of the thread where the showTaskDetailsPanel property is set to false.
