Hide email addresses

When using SBO mailer to emaill a distribution list from SAP Business One, is itpossible to hide the email adreeses? When i send an email about a promotion to a group of customer, i do not want customer A to see customer B's email address.

Hi Maeve..
I don't think it is possible becuase Bcc Option is not there when you send and email through SAP. But you may have Distrbution list group wise where you can send an email to a group but which will dsiplay each others mail ids.....

    how can I send an email to a group in my address book, but hide the individual names and email addresses?

    You used to be able to do this through leaving unchecked the box in preferences "when sending to a group show all member addresses". However, that feature failed some time ago (two or three years?) and the only way to hide the addresses now is to put the group in the BCC field.

  • Hide mailto or email address from spammers

    Hi if you want to hide your email address from spiders/harvesters etc, you can actually edit the the HTML part of the page with your email address on. First make a link click here or an image of the email address. Check the example on my website made all on iWeb.
    see http://www.concretecreative.co.nz/contact.html
    I edited the 'contact.html' with 'Taco' and cut and paste my hidden email address from 'Spamstopper' both of these app's are freeware from most ie Versiontracker.com etc.
    I hope this helps everyone.

    That is a false sense of security. My script can get your email in less than a second, this is what you are hiding behind:
    mailto: & #105; & #110; & #102; & #111; & #64; & #99; & #111; & #110; & #99; & #114; & #101; & #116; & #101; & #99; & #114; & #101; & #97; & #116; & #105; & #118; & #101; & #46; & #99; & #111; & #46; & #110; & #122;?subject=website
    #105 = i
    #110 = n
    #102 = f
    #111 = o
    &#nnn = where nnn is ascii code. So forget about hiding it, the best way of hiding it is NOT to post/publish it.
    There are four other links in that page:

  • Is there any way to send an event invitation to multiple people, but hide invitees' email addresses from recipients? I need to keep their details private...

    Hi,
    I'm creating a series of events in Lightning, and sending invitations to all my adult class students. Legally, and ethically, I have to keep their personal details private. This includes their email addresses. I can't find a way to send invitations to a dozen people, without them seeing everyone's email addresses. I need something like a bcc option really. Is there a way please? Google calendar seems to be able to do it, but I don't want to use that, I far prefer TB/Lightning - largely because I can then send invitations from my business address instead of Gmail.
    Thanks very much,
    Melanie

    The following is intended as general guidance about changing the to: designation in Thunderbird. I must admit I'm not sure how it works with calendar event invitations. I need to check. Of course, amongst colleagues and in the workplace generally, it's not required to hide addresses, and as that's pretty much the only context I have used automatically generated invitation emails, I hadn't found any need to use bcc:.
    Thunderbird has bcc. Click on to: to change it.
    Tip: change it when you add the first address, then each address you subsequently add will be set to bcc: automatically.
    If you're using a Mailing List, bcc: will apply to each address in the list too.
    And try F9 to see a Contacts Sidebar in the Compose window. This has explicit "Add to..." buttons.

  • Hide group member's email addresses

    Does anyone know how to hide group member's e-mail addresses &/or names when sending a group contact email?  I just want the Group Name to appear in the "to" section of the email.  Thx

    Thank you but I want the name of the group to show as a recipient.  For example, I want the recipient to show as Group A but I don't want all of the people in Group A to have their names or emails showing.
    The short answer is 'you can't do that'
    The long answer is:
    A group is just a 'container' into which you place email addresses. As the servers which deliver the email need to use the individual email addresses to route mail, the contents of the group are separated into the constituent email addrsses, which are really what is in the To: field. Once the email reached it's destination, the receiving email system or client has no knowledge of the original group 'container', so all it can do is place all the email addresses in the original message in the appropriate (To:, CC:. BCC fields for display to the recipient...

  • How do you send an email to a group but hide all addresses?

    Hoe do you send a group email but hide all email addresses except to the person receiving the email?

    Shootist007, I think Cdf15 wants each recipient to see his/her own email address.
    Cdf15, you can't quite do what you asked with Mail alone, but you can come close with a slight variant of what Shootist007 recommended. Just put a dummy address (perhars the sender's) in the To field and all recipient addresses in the Bcc field. That way, no recipient sees either the other recipients' addresses or their own.

    is there a way to hide your email address (from) and shoot out anonymous emails in exchnage. Anyone with customized script or code would be a great help ?

    Hi,
    In addition to Amit's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following thing:
    If you want to hide sender's email address from external users, you can use address rewriting with no-reply address on Edge Transport servers.
    For more information, here is an article for your reference.

  • Hide my email address

    I want to send emails to people using adobe, but i want to
    hide my email so i dont get spam. How do i do this?

    If you are using the Mail program to send the email then you can't leave the From: field blank. What you could do is put a false email address in the preferences for the account ([email protected]), but now anyone who has set their filters to only accept mail from known addresses will send you straight to the bit-bucket, so you would want to warn your recipients first. They would not, of course, be able to reply to your messages.

  • Right clicking on a person's email address no longer allows me to "copy email address" a feature I used a ton. How can I do this now?

    Hello, We use a program called Zimbra for work which houses our email and calendar systems. I used to be able to hover over someone's email address, right click, and an option would pop up to allow me to "copy email address". This feature stopped a week or more ago and I called my business tech support and they said it is not a feature of Zimbra so perhaps it is a Firefox issue. Thought I would ask. I do a lot of copy and pasting of email addresses for our job listservs and this was a helpful feature.

    Thanks Barney.  Yes, duplicating the file is a work around and I will use it for now.  I was hoping that I could set a preference or something to have TextEdit save new files like it used to.  Not sure why a redesign would limit options for saving files.  That, to me, is crazy. Using the duplicating feature means more clicks to get it to do what I used to be able to do more easy.  I hate "improvements" like this to an app.
    I have "Documents and Data" checked in my iCloud preferences and when I uncheck it warns me that unchecking means that if I turn it off then all documents stored in iCloud will be deleted from the Mac.  Not sure if I want to do that or nor.  I don't like using iCloud for storage, but I think my photos from my iphoneare on there and I am not sure I want to keep those deleted off of this Mac as I use some photos for work related items and this is a work related Mac.  What do you think?
    I would like to try a "save as" option, but that does not even come up when the "File" menu is selected.  Using the command key does not make it appear either.
    And thanks for the advice about a hidden preference for iCloud.  I have not found it, but I amnot sure why they would hide such a preference either.
    I switched to Mac a few years ago because they were so much better than PCs. Now, they seem to be creeping into PC **** with unnecessary changes to apps that do not make any sense to me.

  • Outlook 2010 / 2013 Send on Behalf of does not cache Resolved email address in the From Dropdown

    This is insane Microsoft. Makes me wonder if you use your own product
    Office 2013 / Exchange 2010
    - Proper mail box permission
    - Proper Send On Behalf of Permission
    1. Open A Message > Select From > Choose Other Address > Choose From Again > Pick the Address (Which Resolves from GAL) Finish the Message and Send - No Problem
    2. Start Another Message > Click the From drop down and the email is cached in unresolved SMTP format
    "You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user"
    A Better message would be "Sorry Microsoft doesn't understand how to read it's own address book, properly cache an exchange email address and thinks 4 click is better than 1"
    Sorry for the rant but if any one has a solution to this it would be much appreciated.
    Notes:
    - CTRL-K or Check Names Doesn't Resolve the From field
    - You can send repeated On Behalf of as long as you don't the From Drop-down.
    - Changing Address book order doesn't work
    - Using Contacts as the Primary Address book doesn't work
    - No Shortcut Quick Key to open "Open Send From Other-Email Address Programmatically" form
    - Cant Use Quick Steps because From Field is not included
    For those of you who hate rants without a solution, Here it is beyond ridiculous!
    1. Make the Developer Tab Visible
    2. Add the following VBA Code to ThisOutlookSession
    Sub CreateNewMessage()
    Dim objMsg As MailItem
    Dim obj
    Set objMsg = Application.CreateItem(olMailItem)
     With objMsg
      '.SentOnBehalfOfName = "[email protected]" DOESNT WORK BECAUSE EXCHANGE DOESNT RESOLVE
      .SentOnBehalfOfName = "USE THE DISPLAY NAME"
      .To = ""
      .CC = ""
      .BCC = ""
      .Subject = ""
      .Categories = "Test"
      .VotingOptions = "Yes;No;Maybe;"
      .BodyFormat = olFormatHTML
      .Importance = olImportanceNormal
      .Sensitivity = olNormal
    ' Calculate a date using DateAdd or enter an explicit date
    '  .ExpiryTime = DateAdd("m", 6, Now) '6 months from now
    '  .DeferredDeliveryTime = #8/1/2012 6:00:00 PM#
      .Display
    End With
    Set objMsg = Nothing
    End Sub
    3. Customize the Ribbon
    - Create A New Group
    - Position New Group As Desired
    - Choose Commands From (Select Macros)
    - Drag Macros to Group
    - Change Display Name and Choose Icon (Under Rename)
    4. Hide The Developer Tab

    I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
    In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
    -Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
    the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
    -Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
    -In the top box, click on the SELF account
    -In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
    INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
    If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
    not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.
    Good luck!

  • Is there a way to hide email on view source when validation error found using validateAt = onServer?

    I'm confused!
    Here's what I'm doing. I have two seperate files, one is
    form.cfm and one is formdo.cfm.
    On form.cfm, I have the cfform, that takes a name, email,
    phone number, and message and is set with validateAt onSubmit and
    onServer with correct syntax in the code. the cfform action is set
    to formdo.cfm.
    formdo.cfm is the other file that handles all the form data
    and uses cfmail to send it to an email address. formdo.cfm grabs
    all the input fields from form.cfm and shoots out an email with all
    the form inputs. I've tested all of this and it sends an email and
    the form contents as it should.
    So next, I tested the onServer validation with Javascript
    off, and sure enough it told me I had an error and to go back and
    fix it.
    Good there, except when I viewed the source on the server
    validation page, it shows the email address in English even when
    encoded with the character entities. However, if you just call this
    file up by it's URL/formdo.cfm it shows the character entities that
    I entered. I know this is because the server has already
    interpreted it but I'm wondering if spambots can steal that
    'interpreted' email address and I don't especially like the fact
    that a real person can view it in source of the server validation
    page. (since I viewed the email address myself in plain english in
    the source of the server validation.)
    So how can I hide this email besides character entities? Or
    are there any other anti-spambot considerations that someone could
    offer me?
    Thanks for reading this!
    Some additional info on the code in formdo.cfm (syntax is
    correct in actual code but written out here):
    cfmail to = email_as_character_entities
    from = POUND_Email_From_Last_Page_POUND

    I got it going now, although I gave up my character
    entities (which I could've swore were working before I made this
    minor change.)
    So here's what happened. CF was throwing an 'hidden error' in
    the source... it didn't like that email string length wasn't 0 or
    more characters. Which got me wondering how that could be if I
    entered something like 'invalid' in the email box, why doesn't that
    qualify as 7 characters? So then I tried putting a space in the
    cfparam for the email="" to now being email = " " now theres a
    space in between quotes... and that helped a little but then didn't
    really because it was still showing the email with the entities.
    Okay, sort of there. Then, I realized is that I left out all of the
    isNot possibilities, so I plugged all those in, and bam!, no more
    email in the source! Actually, a whole lot less in the source, just
    my 'thank you for the message' message without even a reference to
    email OR the cf error in the source! Pretty cool! Well, thanks
    anyhow for responding anyhow because it's good to know someone is
    willing to help! Oh btw, this was all on CF8.

  • How can I remove my email address from the lock screen?

    How do I remove my email address from the lock screen? My dad bought me a new laptop after mine was stolen from my house on New Year's Eve. I'm a little tighter on my security now and when I turn on my laptop the lock screen shows me my name and my email
    address. If my laptop gets stolen again, I don't want my email address to be displayed for someone to use or sell as I'm extremely picky about what I'm giving out my email for. If there isn't a way to hide my email address, I'm going to demand a "downgrade"
    from this Windows 8 s**t and back to the more user-friendly and less confusing Windows 7. (And for the record, I hate Windows 8. With a passion.)

  • Hide Email in Web Gallery

    Hi,
    I created a web gallery with feedback in Photoshop Cs2 and uploaded into my webpage using Dreamweaver cs3.  What I want is a way (code, script) to hide private email address on the form from viewers but still allow to be emailed.  How do you do this?
    Thanks

    Hi Becky,
    I think the best solution is a contact form. Your email address will never be displayed to the public, but the server side script will enable your visitors to contact you. If you are not very familiar with php you may want to have a look at this great tutorial which offers the solution out of the box.

  • Email address on my iMac screen

    How can I delete or remove an email address that shows up in the middle of my iMac screen?  I can not move or delete it and it shows through all program applications (Pages, Numbers, Background, etc.).  It appears as soon as the Mail application is opened, and will then not go away.

    Yes, the restart will eliminate the email address, but it will return as soon as the Mail application is opened after the restart.
    In addition, I can go to Finder and click on "Hide Others" and the email address will disappear, but will reappear as soon as the Mail application is opened again.
