Hide folios with not entitlements
Hi need to hide the folios for users that don't have rights to see them. Or if the user is not logged in.
I'm implementing a custom library in android following the Android Combined Library and Store example found here DPS Configurator.
I'm calling updateLibrary when the user login and out.
in the updateLibrary documentation it says:
Start a library update transaction. This may only be called if there is not already an ongoing library update transaction. When the update transaction is completed, the library will be finished being updated from the fulfillment server. However, this does not mean that entitlements will be updated from the entitlement server. The entitlements will be updated sometime after the library update completes.
the question is how do I know when the entitlement for the folios is updated?
The API version used for your entitlement server doesn’t make a difference. The flow you are trying in your custom library is correct, it is the same flow we use in the native application.
If it isn’t working as you expect you should open a support request with our enterprise support line. Sign in to http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ and look in the bottom middle of the screen for contact information.

ThanksReread the instructions. You cannot hide purchases on the iPad itself if you are running iOS 6 or higher. You have to hide the purchases in iTunes on your computer - not on the iPad.

Retail folio with a free Suscription
Hi, I like to know the correct way to change my Newstand app with a Free Suscription Inapp to a paid one. What happened if I submit a retail folio with this type of suscription?
Please help me so that my new app or the inapp is not rejected.
If there is any thing I must know or done please let me know.
Thanks in advance.You can update your app to change it from free subscriptions to retail. When you submit your retail in-app purchase, Apple will prompt you to submit a new version of the app at the same time.
Note that anyone who signed up for your free subscription will continue to get all content for free, including retail content. The free subscription lasts forever (or something like 35 years, which is effectively forever in app years). The free subscription entitlement doesn't change when you update your app. You might consider creating a new app and pointing to it from the existing app.

Hey guys,
Testing a new magazine app wired with Entitlement and iTunes Subscription.
Unfortunately, in the app library, the price for the published retail folio does not appear in the button below the folio thumbnail. A download button displays instead. Anyone know why?
Couple of points worth noting, before the questions come:
iTunes Connect
• In-app purchase (IAP) has been created in iTunes Connect
• IAP "Cleared for Sale" option is set to "Yes"
• IAP subscription family and individual subscription IAPs have been created
• App and IAP have not been submitted to Apple for review
• IAP status reads "Ready to Submit"
• iTunes Connect > Tax & Banking info is up to date (though "Contact Info" option still says "Set Up" ... wondering if this is the problem?)
• Subscription IAPs have been successfully tested in dev app using new iTunes Connect Test User (which means Shared Secret works)
Folio Producer
• Folio published as Retail
• Folio uses same Product ID as iTunes Connect IAP
iPad > Settings
• Have tested while being logged into Settings > Store with and without Apple ID
Any theories? Any chance the price will not show until Apple has approved the initial app and IAP?

How to share an unpublished folio with a client to review?
I am designing a DPS single edition publication for a client. Is there a way for me to share the unpublished folio with the client if they do not have an Adobe Creative Cloud account or an Adobe ID? If they just need to signup for an Adobe ID, what else do I (or they) need to do so that they are able to signin to the Adobe Content Viewer and see the unpublished folio?
They need an iPad, the Adobe Content Viewer and a free Adobe ID.
You share the folio via the folio builder panel to that ID.
That's it. When the client signs into the Content Viewer the folio will
be available for download. -
Is it possible to replace an existing published folio with a new one?
Hello everyone,
We created a folio with the wrong intention (landscape and portrait). I have now recreated the folio with the proper intention (landscape only) and have give the folio the same: name, dimensions, publication date and product id as the original. However when I publish the new folio it appears as a new download in addition to the original one we had created. Should it not appear as an update to the existing one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.You'll need to clarify what you mean by 'ebook', and how it's different to the HTML pages of your existing website...

I want to make a digital magazine with only one folio and publish on apps store and google play.
What im not shure is if i can ad articles to that folio with a single edition license or i need other lind of license.

2. I do not want to show my message statement in the screen.I have also registered to this forum to inform that the problem with showing the MAC-address in the sidebar of the finder is still not solved.
The strange thing is that the Embedded Web Server says:
"This specifies the Bonjour domain name assigned to the device, in the form <host name>.local. If a user-specified host name has not been assigned, the default host name HPxxxxxx is used, where xxxxxx are the last 6 digits of the LAN hardware (MAC) address. This option cannot be modified."
But I did assign a user-specified host name and that name does show-up everywere (also within Bonjour), except in the sidebar of the finder (hp###xx##x####). Lots of people have the same issue, when searching on the interet, but not one has found the solution.

Help- Urgent- Multi-folio app not showing all languages
I created a multi-folio app in 6 languages. English the default. English shows up in app store but all the other folios for German, Italian etc don't show up. They are all published and public. I changed my ipad to Italian and I still dont' see Italian as an option. The English showed up. I also submitted the app under all 6 languages when building in App Builder and then created all the language profiles in Itunes connnect.
What's weird now that I think about it in Adobe Publisher online there is nowhere to specify a language or when I uploaded the folios there was no way to specify a language. So I think the problem is that Itunes doesn't see the other 5 languages? I just can't figure out what is wrong here and there is no documentation on the web or from adobe.
Please help as my client is going nuts as am I.

There is a different folio for each language, all published and all apart of the app, same ids etc. So, I guess what you are saying is the only way to get those languages to show up is to use is to use filters?
My understanding was if I created a multi-folio with 6 folios they will all show up. But right now only one is showing up for English. All the otherlangues don't show up in the viewer. I have no idea why? Shouldn't all the languages show up? I'm been trying to figure out where is the missing setting.
If you create a multi-folio all folios should show up for everyone regardless of language, right?
Creating different app for each language is not an option. They spent thousands for the professional account to do this. There must be a setting somewhere I'm missing.
I just looked up filters. Was I supposed to use that for the other folios?

App Signing Error, Number of Folios Does Not Match the Main Folio File

I've stripped out special characters from the article titles and re-built the app only to face the same error. I went ahead and created a new AppID in the Apple Developer Portal, created new provision files, and the error remains. I am now creating a new folio and importing the articles into the new folio to see if that will solve the "number of folios does not match" issue.
Any help or insight would be amazing. Thank you all.
-mattI created a new folio and imported all of the articles again. After hitting "Create App" for this new folio, at about 10 pages in a "PDF Export" error stopped the create app process. I went into InDesign to update the layout for the 10th page to see that the PDF export issue was stopping me from updating the layouts as well. Something in the InDesign file wasn't playing nice with the folio creation, so I created two new InDesign files, deleted the article, and built a new article from scratch. I was able to import the new layouts as a new article to the main folio and hit "Create App" again. This time there were no issues with the creation process. I synched up the provision files in App Builder and was able to code sign the application.
I guess the moral of the story is to double and even triple check every article along the way to make sure there are no issues being introduced into the process that will ultimately cause headaches during the distribution phase of app creation!

Folio issue - not showing in Adobe Viewer iPad 1
I have a Folio created at 1024 x 768. It is loaded through the Folio Builder and everything is filled on in the Folio Producer.
When I log into the Adobe Viewer on an iPad 1, it does not show up.
My Adobe Viewer is up-to-date.
The Folio is created for Viewer 20.
Our Branded Viewer is updated to Viewer 20.
I also have another version uploaded at 2048 x 1536, it shows up in the Adobe Viewer on iPad 3.
Anyone have any ideas why is will not show on an iPad 1?I am not sure exactly what happened. One of the articles imported, but it wqas scaled down 50%. Due to the size difference it would not load to the Viewer.
Reloading into the Folio did not work. I created another Folio with that article, loaded it. Then I copied from one folio to another in the Folio Producer.

As far as I know, the "Hide items with no data" of slicer works for the values category in the pivot table. If the values category in the pivot table is empty, the slicer will hide the rows. And the other situations (we do not put the data in values
category), it'll not hide the rows. Because the rows are also the records of the data source. (It also applies to the table in Excel 2013)

"Shared a folio with you" Email
Does anyone else have an issue with the auto-generated email that gets sent to users when you share a folio with them? The email is super confusing to my clients, I get at least a handful of emails every week from people new to the content viewer getting content shared with them, then clicking the link that is provided with the email, which triggers safari to open and message about browser incompatibility.
Yes, I include that, but not unfortunately I think people read the subject line and then tap the first link they see with out reading. Granted, at that point it is "user error," but I just cant see any value in including the link and making it more complicated than it needs to be. Odds are unless a shared user needs to reset their password they would never have reason to access the dps backend.
