Hide hostname in mailid

Question

Hi,
We getting mail alert from scheduled a job in crontab to find a fragment tables etc.The mail send to many teams(apps team and dba team )
For the security reason we want to hide the hostname in mail.I would like to use some other name instead of hostname.
Is it possible?

What are you trying to protect or what security is your concern?
You can specify any return to or from address, which depends on the mail client - probably not for cron, but you cannot hide the user name and IP address and DNS name of the server that is originating or processing the messages. You can always see it when you analyze the full mail header. For security reasons I suggest you put the Oracle server in a private network or protect it by a firewall, and relay your outbound and inbound emails using another SMTP gateway.

Sendmail also provides a "masquerade" option. The following is from cat /etc/mail/sendmail.mc
