Hide ip address

How can I hide my IP address?

hiding ip adress and computer model id would be a benefit when booking flights and travels,
we found out, that they offer higher prices when you book with a mac computer (in germany)
by comparing prices with a mac and a pc standing side by side at the same time...

  • Can no longer hide toolbar/address bar in safari 7.0.1

Since I own the smaller 13" macbook, I was very impressed with the full screen version of applications Apple introduced...whenever they introduced them -especially safari. I always enjoyed that I could go full screen, hide the address/toolbar, and have only the thin line of tabs at the top, being free to cmd-L whenever I wanted to use the address bar, it going away afterwards. It really freed up a lot of the screen, making me less aware of how small it is.
I can no longer do this. When I right click on the toolbar - there use to be an option to "hide toolbar" - now there is only "customize toolbar". Under the "view" tab the option to hide the toolbar is grayed out (I still have the option when I'm not in full screen mode). Additionally, the old cmd-option-| doesn't work anymore either.
What gives? Am I doing something wrong, or is this purposeful? If so, is there any way I can get back to the older version of Safari that had this option?
    thanks a million,
    b

You can't hide the toolbar in full-screen mode. That's the design. Before you ask, I have nothing to do with Apple and I don't know any more than you do about its design decisions.

  • I hid the address bar with a right click option, and cannot seem to get it back, how can I do this?

I was watching some TV on the WB, and their player doesn't have a 'pop out' option, so I opened it in a new window, and hid the address bar with a right click-> hide option or something along those lines, and now I can't seem to get it back with the same methods, nor can I find a way to access properties or anything. All I can see are the tabs I have open and the bookmark bar.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

There are different solutions depending on kind of the problem.
    Keyboard:Alt+V,T,N
Navigation toolbar, including address bar, should appear
    Then
    Keyboard:Alt+V,T,M
Menu bar, including File, Edit, View, should appear
    Right-click the bookmark bar
Click Customize... in the context menu.
In the Customize Toolbar window which appears find the address bar (It will be shorter) amongst the buttons here.
Drag the address bar by mouse onto the main window, where you want it to be.

  • Can I hide the Address line through a URL?

Can I hide the address line (and button bar, and menu bar) from a URL address? We are generating an Oracle report, and I was hoping to be able to hide the address bar when the report is opened in a new window. Since the report server creates the html to show the report I can't control it there (or can I?).
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Jim,
the only way of achieving this is to call a Javascript function on teh page that initiates the Reports request. Thsi Javascript function would do a window.open() call where you specify the Reports request URL and all the browser window characteristics, like hiding the menu bar.

  • I accidentaly hit a setting to hide my address bar and all my other buttons like "file" or "tools" and I cant figure out how to get them back. Now i cant even type in an adress to go to another website because there is no place to type it.

I accidentaly hit a feature that allowed me to hide everything on the top of my browser. Now All i have are the options of "most visited, Getting Started and Latest Headlines." I have no place to type in a website address, no options such as "file" or "tools" or even the back or refresh button. How do I return it to the original settings?

if you hid the menu bar and the navigation bar simply press the alt button, this will bring back the menu bar and form there you can right click and select which bars you want shown

  • In Lion, can I hide the address book without the application closing?

In Snow Leopard, when I clicked the red circle in the upper left-hand corner of the address book, the application automatically hid without closing entirely. In Lion, the same action closes the application so every time I need to use it, the address book has to reopen and reboot. Is there a way to change my preferences so the application hides instead of closing?

I have to keep a number of documents and other files minimized, which really crowds my dock. I'd rather be able to hide applications like calendar (which hides without an issue) and address book. I'm not sure why apple made this change. Most of the other appliations work this way—hiding when you hit the red button. I've been minimizing, but finding it a cumbersome way to use the application.

  • How do I hide the address bar when fullscreening "popup" windows?

Sky TV's video player has a bad fullscreen implementation - you can make the player go true fullscreen but it reverts when it loses focus, so I can't multitask on my two monitors.
The best workaround I've found is to use their "pop-out" player, which opens a new "popup"-style window (locked address bar, no search bar etc.) and I can then fullscreen the window itself (rather than the player). This allows me to hide
    - the window outline
    - the window title bar
    - the Windows start menu
and it stays fullscreened when it loses focus.
However, this does not hide the window address bar. On a normal Firefox fullscreened window this slides out of view after a short time; on the locked "popup" style window it does not.
On the offchance that treating "popup" windows differently is a deliberate Firefox security policy... can I disable it?

You only need to select the pop-up window after having opened the Browser Console or open the console before opening the pop-up to make that window the MostRecentWindow.

  • I did something to hide my address bar.  How can I restore it?

I did something to hide the web address bar at the top of the screen.  How can I restore it?

Does the View menu include "Hide Toolbar" or "Show Toolbar?" If you select "Customize Toolbar," does the toolbar appear temporarily?

  • Org Modeler 3.0 : Hide Telephone Address and Telephone under Position

    Hi,
I'm trying to hide Address, Telephone, and Sec. Phone in Org Chart -> Position -> Employee Profile (right panel).
I've tried commenting out a few section in  CurrentPositionIncumbentsInfoDetailsData.xml but it's still showing Address, Telephone and Sec Phone.
Am I editing the wrong file?

I haven't done this on OrgModeler 3.0 but have on OrgChart so will pass that info on if it helps:
The employee details section should be easy enough to change via Admin Console.
The extended employee profile is not so easy to edit as it is not visible in the details panel section of the Admin Console.  The way I did it in OrgChart, was to amend fieldset u201CEmployeeDetailDatau201D in u201CEmployeeDetailsData.xmlu201D.  This controls the fields seen in this secured section.  Sounds like you only want to remove fields, so try just commenting them out in the fieldset - put any amended files in your .delta area then re-publish to test.

  • Hide IP address application

I was wondering if there were any applications which hide your IP address when surfing the internet?
    Does anyone know of any?
    Thanks in advance for helping....

No. By "1 or 2" he really meant "a small, manageable number of machines". It just becomes a tedious manual process for anything other than a handful of boxes. Especially Windows machines. If you find you're having to edit the host files of lots of machines, you're probably looking for a better solution, like DNS.Exactly. You can do this on as many computers as you want, but it's really a pain to maintain. So if you just want to share your website/webapp with a few friends/relatives (and your IP-address doesn't change too often), it's fine.
If you need more, you need to go the DNS route. Note that dynamic DNS providers (like DynDNS.com) can help if you don't want to buy a domainname, don't want to manage DNS yourself and/or have a dynamic IP.

  • Hide email addresses

When using SBO mailer to emaill a distribution list from SAP Business One, is itpossible to hide the email adreeses? When i send an email about a promotion to a group of customer, i do not want customer A to see customer B's email address.

    Hi Maeve..
I don't think it is possible becuase Bcc Option is not there when you send and email through SAP. But you may have Distrbution list group wise where you can send an email to a group but which will dsiplay each others mail ids.....

  • How do you send an email to a group but hide all addresses?

Hoe do you send a group email but hide all email addresses except to the person receiving the email?

Shootist007, I think Cdf15 wants each recipient to see his/her own email address.
Cdf15, you can't quite do what you asked with Mail alone, but you can come close with a slight variant of what Shootist007 recommended. Just put a dummy address (perhars the sender's) in the To field and all recipient addresses in the Bcc field. That way, no recipient sees either the other recipients' addresses or their own.

  • Hide group addresses?

I have an address book group, and I'd prefer to include only an individual's email address in the "to" field of my email. Is there a way to hide the others -- or have it show something like "John Smith and 8 others"

You can have it read To Undisclosed Recipients by selecting to Not show members of a Group in Mail Preferences/Composing.

  • Hide Custom Address List from GAL Exchange 2010 SP2

    So, here is the scenario.
I have a list of contacts that I only want 12 users to be able to see.  I have read up on the Address Book Policies, however, what I am REALLY wanting to do is to create an address list of the contacts, and hide THAT from the gal.  I could then
create a new GAL/Address Book Policy that includes the new address list of contacts, and essentially make the GAL + Contacts address list visible to that group of 12.
Is this possible?  It seems silly to apply a new Address Book Policy to 3000 users, would rather apply a new policy to the 12 users that need to see the contact info

  • Hide "from" addresses when forwarding message

I get many messages that I want to forward to another recipient, but I want to hide the string of other addressees who sent it or forwarded it to me. I have tried simply deleting some of the info, but there are so many codes and links showing that I'm not sure what to delete.

I'd try turning it onto its head; select the stuff you definitely DO want to forward, then copy and paste into a new message.
Or, and this may be counterintuitive, select the part you're interested in and hit Reply To Sender. It will copy just the selected text into a new message, leaving you just the task of removing that one address from the addressing box. I'd be wary of this approach, as it will carry a link back to the previous message. Under some circumstances, this can lead to apparently unrelated messages being added to a thread.
Unfortunately there's no easy or automatic way for a program such as Thunderbird to know which bits you do and don't want to include in your forwarded message.
