"Hide Links" (non-underlined, black, but clickable

Hi,
I sometimes prepare texts that should look "normal" if printed, but where having active hyperlinks are also practical. So I want to be able to have all hyperlinks appear in the normal text colour and without any underlining and then export then to PDF. In OpenOffice and Word, I just set the "hyperlink" character style in a way that I like (e.g. italics, or nothing special at all); in LaTeX, it's not a problem, either. Is there any way to do this with Pages? Or would I have to tweak the formatting using a macro or XSLT?
Any hint would be appreciated.

yes, I meant character-style. And you cannot create it via ctrl-click but in the Styles drawer.
Well, if you're willing to go some "adventurous" way, you could edit the XML file.
But maybe it's easier to accomplish what you want to do than you (and I) thought:
* All hyperlinks will be formatted with character style None (Ohne, in German).
* Show the character styles in the Styles drawer, if they aren't shown (click on the small underlined a in the lower right corner of the Styles drawer).
* Select (highlight) one of your hyperlinks.
* Click on the red triangle of Character style None
* Choose "Select All Uses Of None"
* Now you have two choices:
1. Click on the red triangle of Character style None again and choose "Revert to Original Style"
2. Click on your newly created Hyperlink style to assign it to every marked hyperlink
Choice 1 is easy but has the drawback that you are not able to "Select All Uses Of None" again for all your hyperlinks, since this option is only available for a modified character style None.
Choice 2 allows you to redefine the appearance of your hyperlinks similar to pre-defined character formats in Word.
Try the best way for you to assign a Hyperlink character style to new hyperlinks. The described procedure should allow you to easily modify existing hyperlinks in your text.

C4650 Will only print black from the internet. MS Word and PS will not print in black but has color.

Before you think I just haven't tried anything, let me run you down with the whole lot:
-HP PhotoSmart C4650
-Windows Vista
-Problem: My printer won't print in black --but-- this only goes for Microsoft applications it seems. If I have a page of text in black, when printing from MS Word, the page comes out blank, however the printer is actually "printing" back and forth. IF, however I print from my browser, from email, or a webpage, picture, google docs, etc, black prints *just fine.* So far this holds true for both MS Word and PhotoShop CS5. Issue: Black ink simply doesn't print from any program other than a browser.
-NO. The cartridge isn't empty. NO. It's not incompatible. NO. The cartridge head isn't dry and I am not going to soak it in water. This is a new cartridge. It's the official HP brand.
I've done a search and I've found that a few people seem to have this "only print from the internet" problem, however none of these was solved. The only advice that an HP support member gave to one of them is to "install XP service pack 2" however.. I am not running XP. A few other people get the opposite issue where they can only print color from the internet and not from the computer's applications.
I don't know much about printers but it sounds like some kind of driver issue. Yes. I've already searched for, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Whenever I have to print something, I now try to open it up in my firefox just so I can be able to print black. It's quite the hassle. Almost seems like some kind of ploy to cause people to buy new ink cartridges when it's not really empty.
-Yes, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.
-Updated my windows (although idk how that would help. But I know it's going to be a suggestion anyway.)
Is there any known fix or should i chuck it off the balcony and go get a lexmark?

Links not underlined when viewing in browser

I've set up a hyperlink style so that links are underlined. When I view my site in 'Preview' mode they appear to be underlined and OK, but when I export, upload via FTP and view in browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE), they don't appear underlined ? I thought it may have been due to the paragraph styles I have set for the content I have as links, but I've even tried removing the style and applying to a non-styled font... they still don't underline ? Does anyone have ideas ?

Could you please confim if you have applied link to the text (by manually selecting the text) or to the "text box"?
If the link is applied to the text box, please check the settings in the text link style :
Please dit the text link style and check if making text underline there helps or not.

Reset iPod/iPad/or iPhone:
Hard Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons on your iPod/iPad/or iPhone for at least 10 seconds, or until Apple logo appears
Restore iPod/iPad/or iPhone (Restore to Factory Defaults):
Plug into computer that has iTunes installed
Go to iTunes
Click on your device
Click on the Summary Tab, and click on Restore

How can I change an underlined space character after any non-underlined character?

My INDD has almost 6000 Hyperlinks, many of which have a linked (and underlined) space at the beginning, e.g.: "...following_this hiperlynk..."
I'd like to find all space characters underlined that follow any non-underlined characters (in this case, "g"). Is any useful GREP? Or JavaScript?

Overview Page - How to hide links?

I have a overview page and I hould like to know if I can hide some links on Overview page but have this links in Detailed Navigation
for example, if I have this:
- ROLE
               - WORKSET1
                        - OVERVIEW
                        - WORKSET2
                                     - Page1
                                     - Page2
                                     - Page3
                                     - Page4
And I like to see only in overview page something like this:

but in this moment I have something like this:

But, I needs this pages on detailed navigation.
Some one coulds help on that?

Hide link to iTunes Store...

I cannot stand the link in iTunes next to an Artist, Album, Song Name, etc.. So I just downloaded the new iTunes and went to hide it like usual. But it was not in the preferences like usual and that is what the iTunes help said. It's not an option. Does anyone know how to hide it with the new version of iTunes?

It doesn't matter whether you paste each line individually or the block as as whole. If you paste the lines individually, they have to be separate lines; don't run them all together.

Hi,
It is ok to not working the link because like this was
designed. When you click o a collapsible panel tab, you want to
open the new tab, not to follow the link if this exist.
So this behavior was added on purpose. If you want to disable
this behavior, you should go on th SpryCollapsiblePanel.js file and
remove the stopPropagation function.

I understand that you are having issues with your HP 2310m monitor going blank and/or flickering. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it

Iphoto blank/black but photos there hidden

After connecting my iphone, iphoto appeared black but said "import 9 photos" so I did. Now all my photo screens are blank/black even though it says I have over 6,000 photos (5 hidden).

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
This will not affect your books and slideshows.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Oh, I thought you were saying I had anchors around a table, but you were just giving me a heads up I couldn't do this.
You said you did that - "So, I highlighted <tr> to select the whole row across (to get all the cells) and then made it a link." I'm saying you cannot do that. You can't put a link around any block tag.
Anyway, now I'm a bit more confused because I always thought an anchor was that part you inserted "named anchor" and then added the "test.html#namedanchor"....you know what I mean?
This is an anchor tag: "<a>". When it has a name attribute, e.g., <a name="foo">FOO</a>, it is a named anchor. They are both anchors as is this - <a href="foo.html">FOO</a>.

Now, I can make the whole thing an image. I thought there must be a way to do this, but didn't know how.
You would do that in a graphics editor like Fireworks or Photoshop. Put the images together on the same canvas, and then export the whole thing as a GIF/JPG/PNG image.
The only thing is what if it is viewed on a wider screen computer, then wouldn't it not stretch out to accompany the extra space since it will be at whatever pixels the image is?
Yes. That's how an image would behave. If you want the width of the screen to be filled always (a very bad idea in my personal opinion), then you will have to do that with separate graphics as you have done originally. That would mean that you would have to individually link each of the graphics, rather than being able to apply a single link to the whole thing.
In the meantime I will try individual links, but don't know how to link the rest of the area that isn't an image or text (just all the rest of the background color)?
Well, you can't apply a link to a background color or image. So, you will have to decide which way you want to do it: a single image/link or multiple images/links.
These are all design issues that you have to think through and decide on before you write the first smidge of HTML.

Hp envy m6 screen goes black but computer is still running

My grandson has a HP Envy M6 laptop, every so often the screen on his laptop goes black but the computer is still running. If he is watching a DVD on the TV via hdmi cable the movie still plays on the tv but the screen on the laptop is still black. Sometimes it will come back up, other times he has to turn it off and restart. Please, somebody give me an answer because my grandson is in college and if I can't get this fixed, he is expecting Grandma to buy him a new laptop.

Well, I went back and reread your links and realized that the second one was to update the bios. Since I know that my grandson might not even know what the bios is much less how to update it or know that it needs to be updated. So I updated the bios and although I hesitate to say that fixed the problem since it has only been a couple of house, I haven't had the screen cut out on me since I did the update.

How to get FireFox to access links I select in my macmail application. Click on link and FireFox opens, but doesn't search for link.

When Safari is selected as default browser, clicking on a link found in an email (macmail) prompts Safari to open the linked page/site. But FireFox merely opens, doesn't go to the URL selected. What do I do?
