** HIDE MY IP ADDRESS **

Hello!
From what I understand, the reason why I can't post the same ad multiple times on craigslist is because it reads my IP address. I know I can post the same ad using multiple email addresses, but if the IP reading is correct how can I hide my IP so I can post many of the same ads?
I only ask because we are running a local charity event and I would like to post the event in many different cities around my area.
If you know how I can do this, please let me know.
Thank you for your time!
Mike

You would need to use some kind of Proxy service so that it is the Proxy service's IP address that is seen.
The Internet needs IP addresses, just like the Post Office needs addresses, otherwise messages would never be delivered. A Proxy server would be similar to a PO Box.
There are valid reasons for using Proxy servers.

  • Hide from Exchange Address list works in EMC but not from ADUC

We are using Exchange 2010 Version 14.3 (Build 123.4) in a 2008 AD environment. When hiding users from the GAL we found when performing this task from AD Users and Computers the box is check and we verify that it is checked in EMC but the user remains
visible. This can be an active user or a disabled user. The results are the same. But when checking the box "Hide from Exchange address list" in the EMC the change is visible instantly. We can verify that both in the GAL and from OWA. It had worked
prior but now is no longer effective from ADUC even though the box is checked in the EMC. I can check the box in ADUC and verify in Power shell HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled : True yet the user is not hidden. I assume that ADUC is fully integrated with Exchange
but the changes are only effective from Exchange

There are 3 2008 DC. I can see the change instantly on the EMC and in Power Shell. When the changes are made via the EMC the changes are instant. When made from ADUC they never update. I think you hit the nail on the head with the versions. I have only been
here about 10 months and recently (2 months ago) fully decommission our 2003 Exchange which was hanging around for some time. Since I had experience I followed procedure and decommissioned the 2003 environment. Now as far ADUC my copy is Active Directory Users
    and Computers Version: 6.1.7601.17514
I can assume from what I am reading that even though the check box and tabs for Exchange can be added, they do not function completely from ADUC? I just need to provide our Help Desk with a "best practices" They have been disabling and hiding users
via ADUC for years and claim it just stopped working.
So is it a correct statement that Exchange 2010 and above attributes can no longer be changed via ADUC?

Insert the addresses you want to hide in the BCC field instead of TO field.

  • Hide/Change IP Address

I was previously a member of a forum, when today I tried to log in and I got a message that said that my "account/IP address along with all accounts tied to the IP address have been banned". I tried to email the administrator that this must be a mistake and to see the reason for it but it seems because of this I can not contact them. Is there anyway that I can either change or hide my IP address so I can contact them? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you may have been recently given a new IP address from your ISP that has been banned from a previous user. Assuming you do not pay for a static IP, you can try powering off your cable/dsl modem for a while (like overnight). When you power back on, you might get a different IP address.

    Hi,
In addition to Amit's suggestion, I would like to clarify the following thing:
If you want to hide sender's email address from external users, you can use address rewriting with no-reply address on Edge Transport servers.
For more information, here is an article for your reference.

  • How to hide remote IP address in header for roaming users

    Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 7.3-11.01 64bit (built Sep 1 2009)
    libimta.so 7.3-11.01 64bit (built 19:54:45, Sep 1 2009)
    Using /opt/sun/comms/messaging64/config/imta.cnf (compiled)
    Hello everyone,
We have a new messaging server and have been struggling in our effort to figure out how to hide the remote IP address of users who send email from a remote location. When a roaming user sends out an email from a remote location using SMTP AUTH to authenticate, the messaging server includes the remote ISP's dynamic IP address in the header of the email, which in turn results in some recipient mail servers blocking the mail message as spam. What we want to do is have messaging server rewrite or remove the roaming user's dynamic email address so the header does not reflect a user working remotely. The net effect would be the header not reflecting any external address and the messaging appearing to have originated internally.
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What spam software is being used that blocks these messages?
Very large organisations/ISP's use Sun Messaging Server and this is the first time I have heard of this occurring.

The standards are quite clear that the Received: header should include the IP address information.

When an SMTP server receives a message for delivery or further

       -  The FROM field, which MUST be supplied in an SMTP environment,
SHOULD contain both (1) the name of the source host as presented
in the EHLO command and (2) an address literal containing the IP

  • How do I hide my IP address?

    Hi
I know that there's software for PCs to hide IP addresses but does anyone know if there is anything for Macs?

    jayne cooke wrote:

Well, he's right about Yahoo!, though I would swear I didn't see my IP address in the full headers when I checked the other day. However, at the this moment, he's wrong about Gmail. I just sent an email to myself to two different accounts, and in neither one did my home IP address show up.
I'm starting to think that my initial feelings are correct and that there is no way of withholding an email IP address if you have a Mac computer (unless your broadband provider happens to permit SSL)
SSL has nothing to do with whether or not the IP address shows up in email headers. I connect to my .Mac account with SSL and my home IP address shows up in the headers.
Since this is only a problem for Mac users (PC users having plenty of software to do this) perhaps the Apple Mac people might consider putting out a software update for Mac email?
I'm with etresoft here, this isn't really a "problem" to me. I can see certain specific circumstances where it might be a good thing for a specific person to have the IP address hidden, but for the vast majority (99.99%) of people, it's just a complete non-issue.

  • Is there any way to send an event invitation to multiple people, but hide invitees' email addresses from recipients? I need to keep their details private...

    Hi,
I'm creating a series of events in Lightning, and sending invitations to all my adult class students. Legally, and ethically, I have to keep their personal details private. This includes their email addresses. I can't find a way to send invitations to a dozen people, without them seeing everyone's email addresses. I need something like a bcc option really. Is there a way please? Google calendar seems to be able to do it, but I don't want to use that, I far prefer TB/Lightning - largely because I can then send invitations from my business address instead of Gmail.
    Thanks very much,
    Melanie

The following is intended as general guidance about changing the to: designation in Thunderbird. I must admit I'm not sure how it works with calendar event invitations. I need to check. Of course, amongst colleagues and in the workplace generally, it's not required to hide addresses, and as that's pretty much the only context I have used automatically generated invitation emails, I hadn't found any need to use bcc:.
Thunderbird has bcc. Click on to: to change it.
Tip: change it when you add the first address, then each address you subsequently add will be set to bcc: automatically.
If you're using a Mailing List, bcc: will apply to each address in the list too.
And try F9 to see a Contacts Sidebar in the Compose window. This has explicit "Add to..." buttons.

  • Hide menu bar, address bar; Determine client screen resolution

    Hi!
    1) Is it possible to create WDA with hidden menu bar, toolbar and address bar in the IE?
    2) Is it possible to determine resolution of client's screen? It's for smart resizing of controls.
    Thanks!

Is there a way to Hide the Menu bar?
The menubar is a consistent interface artifact in Mac OS X and Macs in general which never changes its location, unlike Windows which attach menubars to specific applications. If your purpose is a kiosk style web browser, there is Saft for Safari. Other web browsers have their own built-in kiosk mode for the Mac.
If you want a menubar to be hidden for other applications, contact the software vendor who makes the software you want the menubar hidden on. Most applications depend on its existence.
The Dock while put on the right hand side of the screen is less likely to get activated by accident, and will activate more slowly than when on the bottom of the screen if you make it unhidden and magnification off, and then automatically hide it with command-option-D keystroke.

  • E75 How to hide mail diversion address?

I am using a private domain and a mail transfer system from [email protected] to my ISP's mailbos, to keep my public e-mail address unchanged when I change providers.
I configured the E75 mail, but the direct "end address" I'd rather hide is now displayed as sender. The Reply-To address is correctly configured, though.
So far I can't configure the e-mail in the old fashioned way. What's the role of the Nokia e-mail service between my e-mail account and the E75 anyway? Are there any resources to help dealing with these issues?

AFAIK, Nokia Messaging does not support two or more email address to be associated with the same email account, hence you can send out emails on behalf of other email addresses.
However, if could consolidate all email addresses to a Gmail or Live account, you may do that via their web email.

  • Hide Attributes in Address book

    Good day ,
I tried to use ABSConfig to hide mobile number from Lync contact card with no luck ,
i couldn't find any proper documentation for ABSConfig, so what i already tried is
1 - Uncheck the "Enabled" check box for mobile attribute , along with other check boxes for that row
2 - i tried to select the row and hit delete button on keyboard.
then i ran Update-CSAddressbook , waited more than 24 hours .. no change!
has anyone done this before ?
    Best Regards Bisher Shbib

    Hi,
User Replicator determines which Active Directory attributes to write by reading a configuration table located in the same SQL Server-based instance as the AbUserEntry table. The AbAttribute table contains three columns,
    ID,
    Name, Flags, and
    Enable.
You can refer to the link below:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg429711%28v=ocs.15%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
The default Flags value for the Mobile is “0x0B622800”, try to change it to “0x4000B622800”
After you modify the AbAttribute table, you can refresh the data in the AbUserEntry table by running the cmdlet
Update-CsUserDatabase command. After UR replication completes, you can update the file in the Address Book Server file store by manually running the cmdlet
    UpdateCsAddressBook command.

  • SAP WebGui -  Hide "Standard buttons"/ "Address/navigation bar"

    Dear,
We would like to use the WebGui for some HR transactions.
To prevent some wrong operation executed by users like selecting "Back" button and "forward" button of Web browser (IE or FireFox), we would like to hide "Standard buttons". To prevent also any URL modification, we would like to hide the "address/navigation bar" and if possible the "menu bar (File/Edit/view/Favorites)"
Could you please provide us your help?
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Z. Lamarti

    Hi Z. Lamarti,
I can assist with two out of 3 requests. However your request are really IE / FIREFOX rather than ITS/SAP
First read the following WIKI in relation to:
"To prevent some wrong operation executed by users like selecting "Back" button and "forward" button of Web browser (IE or FireFox), we would like to hide "Standard buttons"
The following has nothing to do with the Browser buttons - but helps in restricting the access of the ESS services accessed via the ITS
[How to terminate a user session with integrated ITS when the transaction |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=25427]
    AND
[Article - Employ SAP GUI for HTML instead of an Internet service |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/Article-EmploySAPGUIforHTMLinsteadofanInternet+service]
    RE URL's
Rather than hiding the bar - could use a Reverse Proxy. The SAP WEB Dispatcher can be used for this function.
    See:[SAP Web Dispatcher |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SI/SAPWebDispatcher]
In order to secure your SAP system you can put an SAP Webdispatcher (or application gateway like a reverse proxy) in the outer DMZ, which filters the incoming requests and forwards them to the corresponding application servers.

  • Hide my email address

I want to send emails to people using adobe, but i want to
hide my email so i dont get spam. How do i do this?
    ad links removed

If you are using the Mail program to send the email then you can't leave the From: field blank. What you could do is put a false email address in the preferences for the account ([email protected]), but now anyone who has set their filters to only accept mail from known addresses will send you straight to the bit-bucket, so you would want to warn your recipients first. They would not, of course, be able to reply to your messages.

  • Hide my Ip address Show virtual address

    Dear Friends,
I am developing an JSP application and using Tomcat 4.1, for running my application i have to type my ip address and port number
    http://<<ip address>>:<<port no>>/ <<Root folder name>>.
I need to type any virtual address http://programs_java instead of http://127.1.1.0:8080/programs_java

You cannot do anything by installing some software. If you are inside a network then there will be some DNS servers where the mapping of ipaddress and names are stored. So you have to get your ip mapped to a name which you want to type in address bar, in the DNS server. Ask your network administrator for more details on how to get it mapped.
