Hide Overview & Miscellaneous from Employee Profile in Team View

I want to hide everything other than Short profile in Employee Profile in Team View(MSS)
How can I do it.?

Thanks for giving the path where it lies. Now if I want to delete or hide the overview & miscellaneous from short profile. what I need to do.
In configuration of short profile, I have got the following :
If I delete compensation field from here, will it get deleted from ESS Employee short Profile as well.??
In Configure display of short profile,
I have got the following screen :
Here the pixel value is given. If I reduce the pixel, will my requirement will get satisfied.
Pls advice what I need to do.

ERec : Send Education Infotype from Employee Profile to eRecrecruiting

We are planning to use the Employee profile WebDynpro Application HRTMC_EMPLOYEE_PROFILE
for employees to maintain their background data like education and experience. We are using eRecruiting tool since a long time and we plan to migrate Education data from infotype 5104 to infotype 7404 using the standard migration program RPTMC_TP_SYNC_EDU_WE_RCF.
Then, our plan is to let employee to maintain education only from Employee profile and send all update to eRecruiting. Education data will only appear in display mode in eRecruiting. Is there any standard ALE interface to send infotype 7404 to 5104 ? If not, is it plan in future released to provide such interface?

Hi there,
at the moment you can just copy from e-recruiting to TMC. A back transfer to e-recruiting is not possible.
Also be aware that this report is just to be meant for an initial copy.
Therefore you should deactivate education and work experience maintenance in e-rec for internals and read the data just for display in the data overview. Otherwise you need to handle you application data completely separated.

Unable to see the employee photo in team view

Hey experts, we have been handling with an issue almost two days and still cannot find any solutions, in mss service of homepage the employee photo is not visible as you can see below, i know that there was a thread about the same issue and we did what they told and what the right answer was but still has the same problem, * we run the program that generate the url * all of our reletad service is active * we apply a note (employee photo not updated).
do we need to nakisa add on to see the photo or anything else that we can do,

i think ur missing some steps in the note as chk in se11 > T77TMCPIC_URLS > click on display and do as below ...if u follow as per screen shot below ...wait for some other experts reply on this....
next click on below button and log off and log -in and refresh the team view in portal

To remove the color in the calender enhance the method BIND_CALENDAR_DATA_NEW
delete the record from "wd_this->gt_new_cal_entries" where legend id = "TRAVEL"
To remove the legend color enhance the method PARSE_XML
delete the record from "wd_this->gt_new_legends" where legend id = "TRAVEL"

Webdynpro and eventing from team viewer

Hi.
We are trying to add new fields to the MSS "General Data" iView (com.sap.pct.hcm.eeprofilegeneraldata.par) and are considering the following approaches:
1.) Write additional java code to retrieve the data we need and display it on the iview.
2.) Create a new iview from scratch using webdynpro.
At the moment we are leaning towards option 2 as we do not have much java experience and have found webdynpro relatively easy to use. But my question is....how difficult would it be for a webdynpro iview to pick up the eventing from the standard Team Viewer iview? I would want to make sure that when a user clicks an employee on the Team Viewer, his/her data would show up in the new webdynpro iview. Any details on how to go about this would be appreciated.

If you are creating a new iview from the scratch to display the details you had to have the epcf subscribe function. Here you get the parameter passed from the first iview. For this the raise event have to be fired from the MSS iview. So in the Msssiview You write the code for Raiseevent ON click of the button.

How do I set up the Team Viewer in MSS?
I have set up the ODAP, but not sure how to link it to the Team Viewer iView in MSS with the relevant view (MSS_TMV_EE_DIR)?

I have a requirement to design a page with the Team Viewer iView on the General Information Page. What I am trying to achieve is that if a manager selects an employee in the Team Viewer the employee profile iViews (General Data and Personal data which are dependent on the pernr that is passed from Team viewer) their information should appear in the same General Information Page.

MSS - Customize Team View

Hello,
We are implementing MSS on Portal and trying to hide/remove fields in the MSS - Team View Application under Home.
When a manager views the employees in the Team View, and selects the 'Open Detailed Team View' link at the bottom he can drag/select employees and do a comparison. On the Comparison screen , I want to hide/remove fields for Talent Data.
How can we achieve this?

MSS: Team View Drill Down Capabilities

Hi all,
Is there a way that you can be able to drill down through employees in the Team View? I'm trying to figure out if when employees are loaded, if they are a chief, the little + sign shows up beside the photo, and you can then drill down to see who reports to that manager.

Here is a picture of that screen. I have covered up the names. But as you can see, the pictogram for the org chart is coming in. I did choose the Person pictogram for the employee, but as you can see, it is not there. Somewhere in the code, the pictogram reference is being deleted. I'm not sure where, but doesn't make sense to me. Whe you hover over, information on the employees and the org are coming up. I would still like to get this to work.

MSS Team View evaluation path for non chief positions (s-s)

We have a problem with display of employees under non chief manager - reporting managers (connection A002). In our organization we have line managers and under them team managers who are leading team of employees. Those managers want to see their employees under MSS Team View iView.
I have checked forum posts and try to create correct evaluation path but i didn't get results yet. I have created 2 evaluation paths:
Z_MANG (copy of SAP_MANG):
10 *     B 008      S
20 S    B 002      S
30 US A 208 P
Z_S-S (copy of MSSDIREC):
10 S A 002     S
20 S A 008     P
30 S A 008     US
I also included them into rules so:
Root rule (rule 1) - Z_MANG
Target rule (rule 3) - Z_S-S
I have also done customizing under Object and Data provider and if I choose standard evaluation paths (e.g. SAP_MANG and MSSDIREC), I get employees shown - if I give manager a hat (A012 connection).
Could you please help me with advice, where am I wrong? I think that first evaluation path (Z_MANG) is ok and it finds non chief manager, maybe is a problem with second one that don't show employees?

My first suggestion was either use Bottoms-up approach or top-down dont use both..like either use either of below
S A 002 Reports (line) or
S B 002 Is line supervisor
but figured u will still have depth issues..so therefore
you cld experiment like below..i understood your requirement, and i am suggesting this totally off-hand thats on top of my head..as i said experiement doing this way..
say you have four levels why dont you use different evalutaion path to link them between each level..
say 1st to 2nd (reports to A002)
      2nd to 3rd (subordinate to A005)
      3rd to 4th/4th to 3rd (Is line supervisor B 002 )etc
this way you will not have the depth issue as each one is diffeent Ev path..
...oops i can see people laughing at this solution..but well..i tried!

How to hide standard Iviews in MSS employee profile service

when I click on Team then employee infomration then employee profile.
I can see details of employee. How to hide additional information like salary data , compensation information, apprisal which is part of standard delivery.

Remove fields from OrgChart extended employee profile

Hello experts,
I would like to remove two fields from the Extended Employee Profile from all Herarchies: "Address" and "Place of birth".
I reviewed the Details Designer from the AdminConsole but I see they are part of a data sheet so I guess it is not as easy as untick them to be removed. Any guidelines where I can deleted them from the details panel?

Try ..\AppResources\detaildataconfiguration\SAPPositionIncumbentsInfoDetailsConfig_Data.xml - there is a fieldset called EmployeeDetailData that contains the fields.

UI5 Employee Profile Issue

I am trying to activate SAP UI5 services from Ehp 7 on a sandbox but when I execute employee profile application from SE80 I am just getting a blank page. So far only leave request application worked file. All other ESS and HRPAO applications are not working properly. Either they are coming up blank or incomplete. We are on SAP Ehp7 SP 21.
I am not sure where the issue is. I did debug for many hours but still not able to get past this. Help is much appreciated. I have completed the following setup.
1. All the required odata services and SICF nodes have been activated.
2. SAP NW Gateway is on the same instance as the ECC. SAP system alias in table /IWFND/V_DFSYAL looks like below. "ABC" RFC dest is setup correctly as type 3.
SAP System Alias Local GW For Local App RFC Dest Software Version
ABC ABC /IWSPI/BSFND_731
3. Under SPRO-->SAP Netweaver-->Activate and Mantain Services - all the services have been activated and system alias shows up as ABC.
After completing these steps only the leave request app is working correctly. All other UI5 applications are not working.

thanks Siddharth...I have IE 9 but as you mentioned I tried in google chrome and got the same result. I have gone through the thread you gave before. I do have all the relevant config_id and parameters are set.
However my user does not have any of the UI5 delivered roles for Emp, Manager and HR prof. I am executing these applications at this moment from SE80. Do I still need to assign all the relevant UI5 roles? I didnt do this since leave request was working okay for me. Eventhough its sandbox there is too much hassel for getting the roles change but I do have a meeting with our security team member to grant me some additional access. I will repost when I have those assigned.
I checked the error log using /IWFND/ERROR_LOG and see the below error.
"Data Provider implementation 'ZLAUNCHPAD_0001_BE' '01' '/IWSPI/BSFND_731' does not exist"
but I do see the relevant service under netweaver gateway...maintain/activate services.

MSS: Eventing with Employee Profile/Search

Hi All,
I've followed this blog to event with employee profile iview. In the end, the application does pick the employee selected from Employee Search table, but the issue is, on selecting another employee, the application doesnt pickup the right pernr. The app reacts to the event only the first time when the application starts.

What I want is I should be able to select the employee from the Team Viewer iView and supply the information to the Custom Application so that it gives me output based on that.

How to get PERNR from employee search(teamviewer) iView in to a WD-4-ABAP.

I had developed a new Web Dynpro for ABAP (WD4A) component for updating a custom Infotype. This application is meant for the manager to maintain some specific data through portal for his employees in the team.
WD4A application is built based on the employee number it receives from the portal.
     How could I get PERNR from employee search(teamviewer) iView in to my WD4A component?
In portal I had developed a test page by copying the standard page from MSS com.sap.pct.erp.mss.general_information, and added my WD4A application through an iView into this page.
Then I hided all the other iVews in the page except (1) employee search and (2)my WD4A iVew. On the preview everything appears fine.
During the preview of this page it triggers the WDDOINIT of WD4A component main view and then the WDDOMODIFYVIEW. When I select an employee from the employee search, then it triggers only WDDOMODIFYVIEW in the WD4A application and not the WDDOINIT anymore.
In my WDDOMODIFYVIEW I had inserted the following code:

This is not functioning form me. The action is not getting trigged with the code in WDDOMODIFYVIEW.
I had gone through several threads in u2018SDN say:

Most of the threads are answered but incomplete. In some threads people shared document personally which had been helpful.
I am stuck with this scenario of handling the employee number from employee search iView. Helpful suggestions will be rewarded for sure.

Do i understand you correctly that you are not getting the portal event ?
This can be several reasons ?
Both portal system and WDA server has to be in same domain and same proptocol to communicate with Portal event.
Please check in that direction and search posts on this topic.
