Hide Slide

I have software stimulation and one or two slide need to be hidded, actually i dont want to delete them in case I need them later. Hidded slide still view at publish. how to really HIDE a slide?

How did you hide them? I did use that functionality a lot, hidden slides will not show for me after publishing but if you use slidenumber system variable, they will be counted in the total number.

  • Jump to hide slides

    Hi !
    In PowerPoint i can hide slide and jump to it from other slides.
    In Captivate i can hide slide, but .... oops can't jump to it from other slides?
    For example , i have slide 1 with button  and slide 2.
    I need come to slide 2 ONLY click slide 1 button. It's branching.
    How can i to do it?

    Really? The playbar MUST be turned off?
    I ask in jest, because in the example I cited (Where I said the store is a couple of blocks down the street and I didn't grab the hand and say "let me lead you to it") I said that one could create a variable, set the variable then create an Advanced Action to check the value of the variable and only allow entry to the slide if the variable contains a value that allows entry.
    In that case I should not need to turn off the playbar, no? Because the only way I can view the slide is if the variable is set to the expected value. Any other attempt should navigate me to the slide beyond that slide.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Hide Slide to Unlock

    Hi,
    I want to hide the 'Slide to unlock' text and the slider and its background. Any way?

    Unfortunately there is no genuine solution for hiding the Slide to Unlock feature in the current version of iOS.

  • Hide slide switcher when presenting?

    How can I hide the slide switcher. Using an iMac for presentation with only mirroring possible. I want to be able to type <12> <enter> and goto slide 12 without everyone in the building seeing the slide switcher pop up. CEO like the "look" but asked to loose the "pop up thing" while presenting.
    Almost cool :'(

    Welcome to the forums!
    As far as I know, there is no way to keep the slide switcher hidden. If you regularly jump to set of specific slides, you can use hidden hyperlinks to jump to them and jump back, but that is not a general solution.

  • How to hide slides for a presentation?

    I am going to give a presentation that needs to have some slides hidden but at the same time available if i wish to use them. The idea is to have an omitted slide with the possibility of using it while i am doing the presentation. In power point you han use hidden slides by pressing "H" while the presentation is running. Anyone knows how can i do this in keynote? Thank you very much

    The following is from the Keynote Help manual:
    To skip one or more slides:
    Select the slide(s) in the slide navigator or light table view, and then choose Slide > Skip Slide.
    Control-click the slide and choose Skip Slide.
    To make a skipped slide visible in a slideshow, select it and then choose Slide > Don’t Skip Slide (or Control-click the slide and choose Don’t Skip Slide).
    This presumes that you are working in the editing (preview) mode. Thus, you need to decide before your presentation whether or not you wish to be able to show a "skipped" slide. I do not think you can "unskip" a slide while in the presentation mode. Maybe someone else knows ??

  • Hide slide switcher

    When I'm playing a slideshow and want to jump to a specific slide, the slide switcher appears on the bottom of the screen, as I'm sure you've all noticed. The program is being used to project words for a band, so the person playing to slideshow needs to have to freedom to select different slides as the band jumps around in lyrics (not necessarily in a pre-set order). But with the slide switcher showing up, it looks really tacky.
    Does anyone know of any way to select specific slides while keeping the slide switcher hidden?

    What you can do is run the presentation in Presenter Mode. Then when you have to jump to a slide the slide switcher thing comes up on your display only - it doesn't go to the screen.
    I don't like running shows in Presenter Mode. It's better to run a live show in Mirror mode for a bunch of reasons.

  • Hiding Selected Slides in the Outline Pane

    I have some slides that I'd rather not have show up in the pane. For example I have 5 slides with the same title, I don't want to have 5 of the same name showing up in the outline pane, I only want the first slide. I know you can hide slides in PowerPoint which hides their names in the pane but then the Fast Forward button doesn't move you to the next slide but to the next unhidden slide, or in my case the next quiz. This is a problem as the quizzes are locked down and the FF button has moved the viewer directly to the quiz without having seen the content being quizzed. To make matters worse, the viewer can't navigate away from the quiz without answering the question(s).
    Does anyone know how to hide slides in the Outline pane without hiding them in PowerPoint? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Face ,
    I think providing a Navigation name to the slide via Slide Properties may help . It won't hide it but it will allow you to put a navigation name which will be shown as that slide's name in Outline Pane .

  • Sound problem on slide

    Hello There,
    I am stumped! I have a Captivate (3.0) app with about 40
    slides. The first slide has some audio on it (as well as others). I
    have a button on the first slide, which allows the user to skip
    from the first slide, which is an introduction with narration, to a
    slide which starts the demonstration. The jump is from slide 1 to
    slide 3. Slide 3 has different audio on it. It jumps to slide 3 but
    the audio from slide 1 is still playing! Slide 1 has about 15sec of
    audio, slide 2 has about 16 sec of audio, and Slide 3 has about 6
    sec of audio. I am publishing for FlashPlayer 7. I am exporting to
    standalone exe files. I set the button for a big jump, like to
    slide 37, it jumps there, the audio from slide 1 stops, but there
    is audio on 37. It does not play.
    How do I fix this one???
    eholz1

    hello jsnively,
    I have a fix for you. I figured this one out my self (i want
    a raise!).
    I placed a blank slide with no audio after the slides, in my
    case the first two slides each with 15 sec audio.
    this blank slide i set to 5 secs long, I think any length
    will work (2 sec, etc) as slide 3.
    I then hide slide 3. On my first slide I put a button that
    will jump to slide 4 (which was my orig slide 3), this works fine,
    the audio from slide one stops, and my project starts correctly on
    slide 4.
    Now as to the reason for this.... I have not tested this as
    yet. But I think it has to do with the way I recorded the audio.
    For this project, I recorded the audio all in one take for the
    entire project. I had the screen captures aka Captivate recordings
    (windows, mouse action, etc) before hand. I then added the audio to
    the project on slide one, and went into the audio edit portion of
    Captivate, and selected "Edit - Audio - Project" then I dragged the
    remaining slides into place on the audio wave form. This method can
    work for simple projects, but I think is always risky.
    When I added the blank slide in my sequence, I think it put a
    "hole" in the audio so it would break.
    I plan to try a different method of adding audio to slides
    shortly form my next part of this project. I will post if the
    method works better.
    as Captv8r would say "cheers"

  • Hyperlinks to hidden slides

    need to know if its possible to hide slides so they are not viewable unless accessed via a hyperlink on another slide.....
    how would i go about doing this in keynote '09
    PS i am a noob

    Do you just need them to be hidden during the slideshow? If so there are two options.
    First you could just make a separate slideshow with the hidden slides. Hyperlink the main slideshow to the hidden slideshow and the hidden slideshow back to the main slideshow. If you do this, you will want to make sure both slideshows are open before starting to have the most seamless transition.
    The second option would be to have the hidden slides as the first slides in the slideshow. Say you have 5 you want hidden, they would be slides 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. You would start your slideshow on slide 6. Then you could either add hyperlinks to the first 5 slides, or use the slide chooser while presenting to move to them and back.

  • Why does my While loop not work?

    I was using the SetInterval timer but this kept causing problems getting the timing right,
    So I thought - get the loop to work infiitely...
    var cond=0;
    while (cond !=1){
    $("#DivStage1").fadeIn(1000);
    $("#DivStage1").delay(6500).fadeOut(500); //8000
    $("#DivStage1_1").show("slide", {direction:'left'}, 1000);
    $("#DivStage1_1").delay(6500).hide("slide", {direction:'left'},500);
    $("#DivStage1_2").delay(1000).show("slide", {direction:'left'}, 1000);
    $("#DivStage1_2").delay(5500).hide("slide", {direction:'left'}, 1000);
    $("#DivStage2").delay(8000).fadeIn(1000);
    $("#DivStage2").delay(17000).fadeOut(500); //8000 to 16000
                            $("#DivStage2_1").delay(8000).show("slide", {direction:'left'}, 1000);
                             $("#DivStage2_1 h2 #1 style='color: #FFF;'").show();
                             $("#DivStage2_1").delay(16000).hide("slide", {direction:'left'},500);
    The page does not execute the loop.
    Thanks in advance for any feedback

    Create a function for the loop and call the function when the document is ready.
    Don't forget to include the jQuery library, jquery.js or similar.

  • Problem with JSliders

    I'm creating a program that will show information on various Landmarks across the world. The main content on the page will be two JPanels. One has a JTabbedPane that will have different information on the each tab about the location. Below this will be a JSlider that allows the user to change to another Landmark by simply moving the JSlider.
    Now the problem is when I change the Jslider nothing happens, I have my Listener in my code but it seems to be doing nothing. Can anyone indicate where I'm going wrong?

    Thanks Joerg22, I have changed a lot of my code around to suit my needs.
    I have a quick question, what would be the best way of giving a check box the option of hiding the slider. I want my program to be able to turn off the slider from within the program by either checking or not checking a JCheckBox. If it's too much trouble I'm not going to do it but I would like to do it in the future.

  • JQuery Sliding Text effect in DW

    Hi there,
    I'm trying to create text that slides in across the page and stops in the middle. I read that jQuery is useful for this but am really not sure how to write the code. So far what i've written under the Spry Effects.js document of my file has not produced any effect when i view the page on Live View or in a browser. I'm using Dreamweaver cs4 so i know don't need to install a jquery plugin. This is what i've written for it so far:
    Source code:
    #slider {
    color:#FFF
    height:100px
    width:200px
    <div id="slider">Content for id slider Goes Here</div>
    Spry Effects.js:
    //JQuery
    <script src="jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
        $(document).ready(function(){
            $("slider").hide();
                        $("slider").slideIn('fast');
    What do i need to change or add?? I truly appreciate any help...
    rae

    Thank you David for giving this brief tutorial about how to use jquery in DW as I could find very little in the DW help files or at the http://www.w3schools.com/jquery/default.asp page. That page tells us to link to the core library and about document ready but not that we should link to a jquery plugin link. Is there anything else we should know?
    I also noticed in CS6 that when I click to insert jQuery nothing shows.
    Why is that? Is it because I am not linked to the jQuery core library or plugins?
    Since Spry is dead I would like to learn more about jQuery and have been reading up on it but so far not coming across using it in DW. Could you or someone else point me in the right direction.

  • Add video feedback to quiz question

    There is a presentation demo on the Adobe site called 'Breeze
    for Rapid-training' which has a question and when answered, plays a
    video. I cannot seem to find any information to do this. how is it
    done?
    Thanks Michelle

    Are you sure the feedback is on the same slide or are they
    using branching to send you to a choice of slides with video on
    them? I believe this is how you'd do it:
    First, create a slide continaing you're video.
    Then use the hide slide function in powerpoint so that people
    won't be able to access the slide unless they go through the quiz
    to get to it
    Now craete a quiz question and use the branching feature to
    go to that slide with the video
    This is a very quick and dirty explanation, so please let me
    know if you need more explanation or if you need more detail.
    Best,
    Jon

  • Form Label Text-Align Center

    I am having troubles aligning the label of my form to center. When the page loads, it looks like it wants to be center aligned, but then aligns to the left. I can't tell which CSS is making it do this. Would you be able to help me narrow it down?
    link is http://www.thelightingpower.com/donate-now

    That is because of the attribute position: absolute; that gets added at runtime with your jQuery custom function.
    To fix, Find this in your custom.js file:
    $('textarea').each(function() {
    if( $(this).val() == ''){
    $("label[for="+$(this).attr("id")+"]").css( "position", "absolute" ).css("z-index", "2");
    }else{
    $("label[for="+$(this).attr("id")+"]").hide('slide', 'fast');
    And replace that chunk of code with this:
    $('textarea').each(function() {
    if( $(this).val() == ''){
    $("label[for="+$(this).attr("id")+"]").css("z-index", "2");
    }else{
    $("label[for="+$(this).attr("id")+"]").hide('slide', 'fast');

    Hi all,
    When working in the light table is there any way to "zoom" in or to increase the size of the slides that are being shown. On my external screen i have a hard time reading the text on them.
    In powerpoint you can set a zoom/magnification size up to 100% (although i would have loved to be able to go higher to something like 200 or 300) Is there anything similar in keynote ?

    Well, there is the "Skip slide" option in the context menu, it is the same as 'hide slide'
    Gancho
    Then Apple should probably look at that feature (as
    well as a "hide slide" option) for the next version
