Hide some buttons or enable buttons, that's the question

I have a problem with content presenter portlet, I developed a new theme for my portlets and it was all great, but in workspace studio you have the chance to say "hey i want this button, this one and... no i don't like this", allowing you to determine when the user can or cannot change the status of your portlet, but in a content presenter portlet this is not possble(or i haven't found it) I need to hide all buttons except for the edit button, I modified my theme and now the delete and float buttons are disabled in that theme, but i haven't found the way to hide the maximize an minimize buttons, any ideas?
It's something similar to borderless theme, but that theme hides everything and then inserts the edit button in the body of the portlet using javascript(I'd rather not to use that).

If you do not wish the porltet to have maximize or minimize capabilities, simply do not entitle those states on the portlet in the desktop. Note that you should give maximize capability to those that you've entitled to be able to edit (configure) the content presenter portlet instance since the Wizard interface will work best when in a maximized view.

For some reason, your Mac doesn't recognise that a keyboard is present, so it looks for a wireless keyboard. The question is, why doesn't your Mac recognise that a keyboard is attached?
First, you need to make sure you remove all peripherals, especially USB peripherals (the keyboard is on the USB bus). Then restart holding down the Shift key. This should boot in Safe mode. If the computer boots normally (not in safe mode) and the keyboard is still not working, try resetting the SMC

If that still doesn't fix the problem, then the keyboard (or its controller) is probably damaged and needs to be replaced.

How to hide some buttons like CREATE PURCHASE ORDER, COPY, EDIT from POWL?

In SRM 7 ECS we need to hide some buttons like CREATE PURCHASE ORDER, COPY, EDIT from POWL"s. We can do some manipulation via security but we need to make a few buttons invisible without security. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Below are the steps to Hide the buttons in POWL table
1. if you want to Gray out the Buttons
IMG > SRM SERVER> Cross Application Basic Settings --> Extensions and Field Control. There you will find a node to control Actions. based on the object type choose your option and make it as read only
To Make invisible
1.If you want to make invisible the button .
IMG > SRM SERVER> Cross Application Basic Settings --> Powl and Advance Search - > Adjust powl layout ,search criteria and push button (OR) t-code : /SAPSRM/POWL_CUST
2.choose the POWL type for the POWl table
3.click on Action node , you will find all the acction assigned for the POWL table ,delete the entry which you want to make invsible and save it
4 .Now run the report POWL_D01 and provide powl type in the selection criteria and deleate the catche quries

Create a Button that Closes the Presentation

All, I want a button on the last slide of my presentation that, when clicked, will close the browser window in which the presentation is playing. Will this involve Javascript? I tried some, but I probably screwed it up because it won't work. Some step-by-step guidance would be much appreciated, should someone have a few moments to guide me. Trying to make something more obvious than the X button on the playbar. Thanks so much!

As explained in the Frequently Encountered Issues topic, closing the window is "iffy" and depends on different factors.
The simplest approach is to avoid JavaScript altogether. Just configure the project to close when it completes. Then if you want a button that closes the project, configure it to jump to the last slide. Time that last slide super short. The net result will be that the user clicks the button, it jumps to the last slide for a split second, then if the project is capable of closing, it closes!

Several buttons that do the same behavior

Hello,
I need to have several buttons that do the same behavior.
For brevity, I do not want to attribute to them each time a different instance name.
Is there a way to perform many buttons the same function (eg trace ("foo");?
And:
1) without converting all the buttons in a single symbol, this is because I often need to give different positions on the Stage;
2) without to write a different script for each button?

You would want to use a for loop for your need and dynamically reference each button instance. In the below example, create 4 buttons on your stage at the root level and give them instance names of "btn1", "btn2", "btn3" & "btn4". Then insert the following on the root timeline.

HD Upper or lower interlace or not that is the question

Ok Im a bit confused and cannot seem to get a straight direction on this. I shoot in 30fps 1080i, I capture in HD via firewire, I edit and when outputting for regular DVDs do I encode UPPER FIELD first since the source media is HD or LOWER FIELD first because it is doing to DV.
When encoding with Media Encoder should I check the deinterlace button when encoding HD for a DV project going to encore or not check it...that is the question.
Where is my Commedore 64 when I need it?

Choose the correct field order for your
export format when exporting, in this case DV.
Choose progressive/interlaced depending on your export format when exporting. Since DV is interlaced, do not de-interlace.
Who needs a Commodore 64 when you have a Vic 20! ;)

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

I am new to PCUI CRM 5.0 and the requirement is to disable some buttons from Install Base(COMM_IBASE) for this i am creating a new view.
What i have done:-
I have defined the new view in the "characteristics of view" of tr: CRMC_BLUEPRINT as a copy of default.
I have copied the default view in tr: CRMC_BSP_CT to a new View ZP*.
Now the problem is when copy all the default events to my new view ZP* in Application Layout >Application 'COMM_IBASE'> Define Layout
For some of the Events CST_000000000000558 its giving Error "Entry CST_000000000000558 does not exist in CRMC_BSP_EVENT (check entry)
Can any one let me know what is the solution for this problem as its every hard to create all these events also.

Ok, i'm a boob, i was using firefox, hit some button inadvertantly and now when i double click to open it, it goes straight to minimized. Using 33.1.1 with windows xp.

Thank you for your advise. While your remedy does work to that end, i usually have my browser set to partial window rather than full screen, so I'd have to make an adjustment that way too. It used to come up into the partial screen, but now drops to the task bar upon opening. Or it opens full screen, if i set it to full screen before closing out my browser. I'm looking to have it open to partial screen like it used to. Any ideas?

How can I make appear the arrow-button that showed the recent history of a same tab (next to back and forward buttons)?

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:

* Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens

Is there a way to create a button that works the same as the ImageField?

I am trying to create a button that acts like the ImageField tool. I want to be able to click on the button and it will direct me to browse for my photo that I want to attach.
I am using LiveCycle. (I am a nooby and have limited skills when it comes to script)
The ImageField function is to complex of a function for the use on my IPAD (PDF Expert APP). I can create a photo button using Adobe Form Creater and it works fine with the below script:

This is a mouseup Action Event.
My form that has been created in LiveCycle works perfectly on my IPad, except the photos. If I can simplify the function of the photos to act more like the Adobe Form Creater tool, then perhaps it will all work together.
Any ideas, or is this just a waste of time? I have created the form over using Adobe Form Creater, but it has some limitations that make it not function as nice as LiveCycle's form.

How can I create a button that performs the function of a keyboard shortcut, specifically print scrn

I need my presentation users to take a screen shot of a slide within my presentation. I know that windows 8 has a new function that allows a screen shot to be taken and saved directly to the user's computer and I need a button that can be placed on a slide and perform this function. The shortcut is (windows key) + (print scrn). I want to save my userss some time and just have a button perform this task. Any idea on how I can make this possible? I am using Captivate 7.

I think Ajit may have misunderstood your need. The command he told you about triggers the Print command to allow you to print the currently active slide (on a laser or inkjet printer). This does not have the same result as you would get by hitting the PrintScreen button on your keyboard (to take a screencapture and have it saved to the Clipboard for pasting somewhere else).
You can add a button to your slide and set the PrintScreen key as the shortcut, but this will NOT mean that clicking the button will cause a screencapture to be taken.
There are JavaScript libraries that will allow you to execute JavaScript code in a Captivate project that can take a screen capture:

However, to implement these solutions you would need to be quite knowledgeable with setting up JavaScript. It's not for newbies.

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 8. I've created a fillable form that can be fillable and saved in Adobe reader. How do I add a submit by email button that will send me the form with the data? Right now I am only getting the data. I need the form with the data.

When you set up a submit form action, you have the option of choosing the form data (FDF, XFDF, HTML) or the complete PDF. Choose the latter. For this to work with Reader (prior to 11), the document has to be Reader-enabled, which you do by selecting: Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader
