Question on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields in the MDT Wizard
MDT 2012 U1
Deploying Windows 7 via Offline Media (ISO) to MS Virtual PC's
I am looking on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields which are prepopulated in the MDT wizard via the CS.ini (Not so concerned about the Domain field as I am User Name and Password)
We do need the Computer Name and OU fields to be seen, so skipping the wizard is not a option
The client just does not want these fields to be seen by the end users, they dont want them to even know the account name used for adding the machine to the domain, of course the password is not displayed but it must not be displayed either.
But since we use the fields they must still be fuctional just not seen.
Thanks.....
If this post is helpful please click "Mark for answer", thanks! Kind regardsYou shouldn't have to edit DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml. You should only need to add "SkipAdminPassword=YES" to the CS.ini file and your authentication information.
Example:
[Settings]
Priority=Default
Properties=MyCustomProperty
[Default]
OSInstall=Y
SkipCapture=NO
SkipAdminPassword=YES
UserID=<MyUserID>
UserPassword=<MyPassword>
UserDomain=<MyDomain.com>
SkipProductKey=NO
SkipComputerBackup=YES
SkipBitLocker=NO
-Nick O.
Nick,
SkipAdminPassword=YES is for:
You can skip the Administrator Password wizard page by using this property in the
customsettings.ini.
I am hidding the Username/Password/and domain field in the computer name Wizard pane which is read from the cs.iniDomainAdmin=xxxxx
DomainAdminPassword=xxxxx
DomainAdminDomain=xxxxxx
JoinDomain=xxxxxx

how can I send an email to a group in my address book, but hide the individual names and email addresses?
You used to be able to do this through leaving unchecked the box in preferences "when sending to a group show all member addresses". However, that feature failed some time ago (two or three years?) and the only way to hide the addresses now is to put the group in the BCC field.

How can I hide the user name and password from the url address?
Good afternoon every body,
I have a form running with Oracle9i Developer Suite Release 2 and when I run the form on the web it shows the user name and password of my data base. Can anyone of you please help me to hide the user name and password, if there's any way of course?.
Thanks a lot!!.Luis,
Then, as inolau's notice, create logon screen (or use the default one) and force the users to logon at runtime. Do not pass username/password as parameters.
inolau,
True that if the connection is specified in the config it will be the same for everyone. However, every case is different. For example one of our apps gets S3 credentials (from non-Oracle S3) as session parameters. It uses this common db connection to validate some stuff with the database, read security definitions and then it re-connects the forms using the credentials. -
how to hide the file name (the bizarre number assigned by the camera) when exporting an image version in aperture from an album. Pl understand I want to keep the file name in the project library version.
Within Aperture you have Images, which are constructed on-the-fly from two files (the Master and the Version). You get an image-format file _only_ when you export an Image. You select the file name (usually a scheme) when you create an image-format file (that is, when you export). Look under "Aperture→Presets→File Naming" for built-in Presets. You can, of course, create your own or customize any provided.
The Preset is applied to only the file newly created by your "export" command. It is not applied to the Image in Aperture (unless you rename your Versions or your Masters). -
Can we change the category name in oim 11g
Hi All,
Can we change Category name of default categories present in OIM 11.1.1.5 User Attribute Form.For Eg:-
Provisioning Dates to Important Dates.
We looked for it and found one link :-http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e14308/conf_mangmnt.htm
But did'nt found anything in the properties file as mentioned.
Please help us out with this issue.
TIAI think I saw the category names somewhere, check Agent.properties inside oracle/iam/configservice/agentry/resources in OIMUI.jar and see if it's there. This prop files has labels for user attributes and so categories should be there, if not there was some jar which has properties file which has those label listed out. Don't have access to any env now myself but you can try searching urself too, may be you will find it.

How to hide the owner name on the client
Hello,
I would like to ask is there any possibility to hide the owner and description details while selecting the report on the client end i.e. Discoverer viewer.
My client has issues in the owner name being displayed over there...
Thanks!Hi,
take a look at MOS DOC ID 306832.1
You may have a problem doing that since a report can be saved with the same name by different users so you will get duplicated names without the
ability to identify the report you need (most common are users that saves as workbook1).

How do I hide the app names on the Dock?
I want to turn off the app names that display on the Dock. If it doesn't exist, I think it should be done. We (most people, I guess) already know most of the apps on their Dock. So hiding it will help making the interface more sleek.

How do I hide the file names/path names of embedded images in a PDF document?
I created a PDF document from a Word document, and the problem is that the PDF document shows the file names and path names for all of the embedded images in the PDF document. I don't want that information displayed. I don't want to send the PDF out to clients and have them read the names I've assigned to those images, plus it looks messy. And I've lost many of the original image files so they only exist in the Word document, thus I can't go back and rename them. I searched the internet for an answer but I couldn't find one anywhere.
When you create a tagged (accessible) PDF file from Word, placed bitmap images will use their filename as the "ALT text" if you don't define something else for the text to say, because an image without any ALT text is a failure against the accessibility standards. You can't change that default action, so you should put your own meaningful text into the ALT field for each image - which is what you should be doing anyway if the PDF is standards-compliant.
You can can set the text in Word, but it depends on your version as to where the dialogs are - Google for it - or you can change/delete it in Acrobat using the tags navigation pane on the left side of the window (right-click the sidebar if it's not visible). Drill down through the tags structure to find the "<Figure>" tag you want to change, right-click and choose Properties, then put something in the "Alternative text" field. This process isn't something you can easily automate, but if you don't need tags at all, you can save without tags (or print to PDF). -
