Hide the certain dimension member Id in the reporting

Hi Team ,
We have few dimension member description have similar  to another . So we need to hide few dimension member Id in the SAP EPM 10 report
Any possibility to hide the dimension member id particularly in SAP EPM 10

Dimension member formula for EBIT and EBITDA??? Even more strange - EBIT and EBITDA have to be parents in the ACCOUNT hierarchy without any formula...
What do you mean by "hide"?? Not to show on the report? Like this:
=EPMDimensionOverride("000";"ACCOUNT";"ID<>EBIT")

  • Error selecting a dimension member in BPC EPM report - The given key was not present in the dictionary

    Hi,
We are currently running SAP BPC 10.1 NW on Hana
    Version:
    CPMBPC  810 SP 4
    SAP_BW  740 SP 9
    HANABPC 810 SP 4
    EPM Excel Add-in 10 SP 21 .NET 4 build 9094.
On my embedded model. I have a BEX query on a aggregation level which I access in a report using the EPM Add-in Excel .
When I edit my report in EPM Add-in Excel , and I try to select the dimension members for a selected dimension member, I get the following error.
"The given key was not present in the dictionary"
Any assistance to help resolve the problem will be appreciated.
    Regards
    Gavin

    Hi Shrikant,
I had a look at MBR_SEQ , it is a attribute on the dimension member in BW , this relates to a past version of BPC 7.5. We are currently on BPC 10.1 Embedded model , and the MBR_SEQ does not exist on any of the characteristics I have in my info cube.
When I create a web report I am able to access the dimension members using the select dimensions options, the problem seems to be on the EPM Add-in Excel client only.
    Thanks

  • How to hide the report "No data available" message

    Hi,
When there are no results from a query execution I would like to hide or at least replace by 0 the "No data available" message.
I'm working on BI 7 and the query is included in a web template that has a button to export to excel and the objective is that this message doesn't appear in the exported file.
Do you know if this is possible? If yes please tell me how to do it.
    Regards,
    Ana

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer.
I will explain my issue a little bit further.
I'm working in BI 7 and I create a web template that contains five queries and a button to export all the queries results to an excel file.
So when executing the query in the portal, depending on the selection criteria inserted some of the queries show the message "No data available" and using the button to export to excel the generated file include that message too. It would be preferable to delete the message in the web and in the excel file, but we need to replace at least in the excel file.
I don't know if this is possible with some script so if you have some export script example please post it here.
If there is some way that when no records exists return zero I think that with a formula I can hide the result but I don't know how to get the 0 value....
If you can help in some way I would be very grateful.
    Regards,
    Ana

  • How to hide the report

    Hi Team,
Here the requirement is there is one dash board promt in that we are hard codeing the vlaues as REPORT 1 and REPORT 2 and the reports will be one after the other when we select REPORT 1 REPORT 2 shuold hide and it as to show only REPORT 1 when we select REPORT 2 REPORT 1 should hide and it should show only REPORT 2 this is the requirement.... will any body give an idea how to acheive this
    Thanks,

    Hi,
You would have to create one dummy report to achieve this.
Create a presentation variable in your prompt (which returns either 'Report 1' or 'Report 2'). Let's refer this as "p_var".
Create a dummy report with a filter condition '@{p_var}' = 'Report 1'. Let's refer this report as "Dummy Report".
In the dashboard place your two original reports in two different sections.
Navigate to the first section, under section properties click Guided navigation. Set "Reference Source Request" to Yes and provide the path for "Dummy Report" in the source request box. Check "If request returns rows" under Show Section.
Do the same for the other section, but check "If request returns nothing". That should do it.

  • Not to hide the report when after applying in the filter

    Hi Experts,
I have created the two reports in one tab one is present year report and another one is previous year report,In this the present year is should Get view and previous year report used by collapsible (+) in css style i have given as display:none It is fine ..
But I need that If we select any filter in the Previous year report and giving Apply it should not get minimize.
Please give me a good solution for this task...
    Thanks,
    Raju

    Aravind,
I agree with your answer,This will possible only when we have same table for the same section, but i am using two different table and two different sections.
For eg:If we change in the first filter it will get affect in the second filter.so only i used two different tables to get present year and previous year result in single tab.
    Thanks,
    Raju

  • How to hide the Attribute dimension from Planning webform

    I am in Planning 9.3.1
We are using members in row section of webform w.r.t Attribut dimension
so when we are viewing the webform- it is displaying member name followed by Attribute dimension name .
any way to hide that Attribute dimension member from the webform.
    KK

In the Dimension Properties for that dimension, select "Enable custom attribute display" but dont pull the attribute from Available Dimensions to Selected Dimensions. I've given the name of the property from 11.1.1.3 version, so not sure if its the same in 9.3.1 but it'll be somewhat similar.
    Cheers

  • Hide dimension in data form also hide the data

    Hi all,
It might sound simple, but i still could not found a workaround for this problem.
    so here is the problem:
    1. example i have dimension lineItem with member line1, line2, line3
    FY13
    Jan | Feb | ...
    line1 | 1 | 1
    line2 | 2 | 2
    line3 | 3 | 3
    2. i want to hide the line information so i choose to hide dimension for dimension LineItem. but instead hiding the dimension, it hide all the row (so no data shown).
    3. i try to hide dimension that is used as column but everything is fine as the following:
    FY13
    line1 | 1 | 1
    line2 | 2 | 2
    line3 | 3 | 3
Anyone have this experience or method about how to hide dimension in row but still keep the data?
    (i'm using hyperion 11.1.2.2)
    Best Regards,
    Feri

    Hi SM,
Thank you for your help, actually i have another dimension in row as the following:
    FY13
    Jan | Feb | ...
    new sales | product A l line1 | 1 | 1
    l line2 | 2 | 2
    l line3 | 3 | 3
i already test it again and i get the following result:
    1. if i only have 2 dimension in row: product and LineItem (hidden) i get the following:
    FY13
    Jan | Feb | ...
    product A | 1 | 1
    product A | 2 | 2
    product A | 3 | 3
    (it work fine)
    2. if i have 3 or more dimensions in row, i get the following:
    FY13
    Jan | Feb | ...
    new sales | product A | 1 | 1
(it only show one row which is the line1, it seems like it cannot handle if we put more dimensions)

  • How to get the ID of a dimension member in script logic?

    Hi everybody,
I am working in some logic scripts and I wonder if exists any option to get the current member ID of a dimension in order to concatenate a string using the member referred and an additional set of caracters such as: MEMBER_ID&"_ccccc".
Moreover, I would like to use this ID dimension member in order to filter members of another dimension whose attribute is equal to the ID of the desired member. Is it feasible?
In conclusion, is it possible to get a variable which is referred to a member ID of a dimension, and using it in order to filtering other dimensions?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Antonio

    Hi Antonio,
You ask if it is possible compare a dimension id with a property value.. yes it is posible , for doing that you will have to do something like this,
    *FOR %ACC1%=ThisA,ThisB,ThisC
          *WHEN DIMENSION.PROPERTY=%ACC1%
                  *REC(............)
           *ENDWHEN
    *NEXT
if you want to concatenate using a filter theres a posibility, like this example using the time dimension.
    *xdim_memberset time=%year%.jan -
    >2011.jan
    hope it helps

Does anyone know why video image in events section has a certain dimension and instead when I import same video in a clip, the size of video image is minor? Thanks for help

This may depend on your chosen encoding options for the Mails (MIME vs. Base64 or similar) and/or the mails being reduced in size and sliced up server side. Apple (and Google) do stuff like recompressing images when viewing mails on mobile devices from an Apple ID or Gmail account... You have to turn it off in their web frontends....

  • Hide/disable certain areas from the Overview page of ESS in portal

    HI All,
We have a requirement where we need to hide/disable certain areas from the "Overview" page of ESS in portal.
In Overview page, we have certain links like Employee search,Life and work events,
    Purchasing and travel and expenses.
I m not able to find these pages under overview workset also.
We have to hide 'Purchasing' and 'life and work events' areas from the overview page as the customer dosent want to use this sap standard impl.
Is the customiztion to be done from portal side or do we need to do it from the IMG??
Can someone pls tell us in detail how to do it?
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,
Inorder to hide/diable certain areas from the Overview page of ESS you need to do it from the IMG.
The detail steps are as follows:
    1) After logging in to your backend, run Transaction code SPRO.
    2) Select the SAP Reference IMG button.
    3) Follow the path: Cross-Application Components >> Homepage Framework >>
    Areas/Sub Areas.
    4) In the Assign SubAreas to Areas OR Assign Areas to Area Group Pages (depending on your requirement), to hide the particular area , set the Position value to 0 for the Area / SubArea that you wish to hide.
    5) After making the changes, Refresh the Portal browser page to reflect the new changes.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need to change dimension member in context based on the member property

    Hi,
When i select the one particular entity i.e. E_1100 , it having the currency property is INR, this currency has to change  the RPTCURRENCY dimension member i.e. INR. in the context member.
Context is locked for the users.
    for example:
In context i have Entity dimension, RPTcurrency dimension
                               E_1100               INR.
In report user having the select parameter for the Entity Dimension. Now he has selected the E_1200  in the report , but it has currency property is USD
now the RPT Currency dimension should have to display the  USD in the Context.
    Please anybody help me.
    Regards.
    Surya

    Hi Surya,
you can achieve this using simple VBA code. Use below vba code for overriding the context member. assign this code to button. it will change the context member.
Copy paste below code in one module and assign this code to the button.
    First Enable FPMXLClient
    Dim epm As New FPMXLClient.EPMAddInAutomation
    Sub change context()
    Dim CONNE As String
    CONNE = epm.GetActiveConnection(ActiveSheet)
    'To set context
    epm.SetContextMember CONNE, "CURRENCY", Range("A1")
    'To refresh
    epm.RefreshActiveWorkBook
    End Sub
where CURRENCY==> use your dimension name whose context want to change
Range("A1") ==> In A1 cell Populate property using EPMMemberproperty()
Basically we will set context member and refresh the workbook. After selection of the entity click on button so macro will run and context member will gets override in the Context Bar.
