I am new to peoplesoft and want to hide the content reference from the main portal for specific users
Can anyone help me on this?

the users should have roles which do not contain the permission lists to which your current component is added.
This is the way security is maintained!

Print the invoices once a day for specific users

Hi fox
For some user I have created records in the VV31 to enable them to print their
invoices on a specific output device as defult. This solution works properly. However I
have set up the timing on "4" (print immediately). Now the same users would want to
print all their invoices for their once a day at 03:00 in the
morning. The invoices from other users should be printed immediately. Now I don't know what I am suppose to do. Maybe VF31 ? But how can I
set the timing (at 03:00 every morning)

Hi,
If you maintain the value as "2" for the field "Date/time",this will schedule the job as per the maintained time.
By using the option "1" the message is processed periodically similar to once in evrey day/every week through report program RSNAST00.
By using the option"2" the message contains an earliest processing date and a requested processing time as in option "1". The message is ignored by the report program RSNAST00 before the requested date maintained by you.

Deletion of particular roles from SU01 for specific users

Hi,
Actually I have to certain(only some) roles for users in SU01.
This is bulk data so doing it manually through SU01 is not possible.
Is there any function module/BAPI which will delete particular roles for users??

Changes are made in PRD. The program was tested and is approved by each customer.

The way back is uploading the old role assignment previously exported from AGR_USERS. The program takes an excel sheet. In addition this excel sheet is attached to the change requests.
From risk perspective we say (and experienced): mass changes through copy and paste lead to much more errors and faulty authorizations.
Regarding direct table maintenance: standard function modules are used (like the one mentioned above) and the changes are visible in the change documents, Therefore the auditors grant an exception for using such tools.

Is it possible for an AIR application to get the content dynamically from server in Android?

To give you people the context we will be developing Hybrid application using HTML5 and PhoneGap which will be published on Android and iOS platforms.
I want to know if an AIR application in android can get the content dynamically from the server. If yes, then how part comes into picture?
PS:- I dont have any knowledge about AIR applications and i am an Android developer and exploring this integration of AIR on android.

This is weird: I wrote that document a few weeks ago, it is theorically published on SDN but this is not possible to find it by using the research tool... Maybe because it applies only to BPS in 3.5. I did not have enough time to migrate that solution to BI-IP 7.0.

Hide the Core universe from some user groups

Hi all,
We have one Core universe and few derived universes for each user group. One team is responsible to implement the Core and the derived universes. This means they have Full access on these universes. There are few other user groups which have VOD access on their group specific derived universe and the VOD access on the Core universe in order to create or run WebI reports. Since they have VOD access on the core universe, they will be able to create report against it. We like to hide the core universe from our user group and they should always use their derived universes.
Does someone know which entitlement setting will allow us to hide then core universe or prevent a certain user group to create new report against it without impacting their ability to run existing reports?

Hi,
Step 1. Try at CMC level
CMC-> Universes-> remove the groups (don't shouldn't have access to that universe)-> ok
If it doesn't work then try step 2.
Step 2. At Designer level -
Try to restrict the universe at designer level. i.e goto Tools-> Manage Restrictions -> Manage Access Restrictions -> add groups(required groups dont should have access to users) ->Ok.

Try using portal events. You will have to register and handle the required portal event in your WDA application.

How to hide the PORT NUMBER from the URL

We have Application on Node 1 and Database on Node 2
Apps Version: 11.5.10.2
DB: 9.2.0.6
We recently added a new node to act as web server for iSupport.
Now we are able to access the url using public Ip-address which looks like
http://<Internet Ip-Address>:<PORT NUMBER>
Eg: http://******.com:8000
But we dont want the *'PORT NUMBER(8000)'* to be displayed.
How to hide the port number ?..

Its possible.
1.Open the .master page in some textpad/SP Designer.
2.Look for below tag. This is the holder for SITE ACTIONS
<SharePoint:SiteActions
3.Look for the Menu item templates. These will clearly give you an idea on wht they will hold.
<SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
4.There will be 2 attributes for each menu item called
PermissionsString & PermissionMode.
In the permission string give the required permission to the user to be shown or hide.

Hi CONS SAP,
You can use se16n transaction. This is very user friendly trnasaction. You may use it like this:
1) Start transaction SE16n.
2) Type the table name and press ENTER.
3) Type the string "&sap_edit" into the command line and press Enter.
4) Enter your selection criteria and press F8.
Now you can easily change/delete/add the lines you want and then save.
All Changes are recorded in the tables SE16N_CD_DATA and SE16N_CD_KEY.

This static method cannot hide the instance method from...

What means the error message "This static method cannot hide the instance method from Referee"?
Referee.java is a interface. I implemented it in the class RefereeMyName.java and made a method in that class to be static. Thats why I received that error message.
But can't I use static methods when I have implemented a interface in that class? I want to have a Player.java class which I want to access RefereeMyName.getTarget(). I cannot use a instance instead because I wouldn't receive a valid return value then (RefereeMyName is the client class).
What is the solution?

Well i do not think that you can do that b'cos that way you are not giving the same signature for the method as that exists in the interface. I do not know how other way it can be done but if something urgent for you then you can remove that method from that interface and only define in the class.
