Hide the "Try" list. I don't want any CC apps.

I don't have any CC apps only CS6 apps.
On a Mac you can install this Adobe utility that puts a little icon in the upper right at the Finder for Creative Cloud that when you click on it once you get a handy pull down that lets you see which apps need to be upgraded to a newer version. But at the top of this list is all the CC apps screaming "Try". Is there a way to hide that list of CC apps?
I will never buy any CC apps because I just use the Adobe apps at home for fun. Paying a monthly fee is too impractical for that.
Thanks

...or you could just turn off the CC app entirely? I mean since you never plan on upgrading anything and there never will be any further updates to your CS6 apps, what would be the damage?
