Hide time stamps on posts?

I'd to remove or hide time stamps from when material was posted to iTunes U to prevent confusion with assignment deadlines. Can I do this? If so, how?

I recently got the 6790 slide/surge as well, and if i open a message and click options, then message details, on page one it shows who its from and the date, and if i scroll down it shows the time and the type of the message. i dont know if this helps

  • How do I hide time stamp in iCAL month view for Mavericks 10.9?

I want to hide the time in Month View like I could before in 10.8.  Please help!  Calendar is too cluttered in month view for me to read.  In 10.8 you could select or deselect "Show time in month view".  Is there a way to do this in Maveriks 10.9?

I have this same question! I DON'T WANT THE EVENT TIME TO SHOW ! I often just put my events anywhere on my calendar and have them take up 3 or 4 hours just so they show up larger, disregarding the times on the calendar, but rather typing my own times in at the beginning.  So, having the actual calendar event time show  is very confusing. Before the update, you could UNCHECK, show event times.  NoW that option does not exist!!  There must be a way to go into the system, and disable this function, however I am not computer literate enough to know how to do it without specific instructions.  DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS??? Thanks in advance!!

  • Time stamp control dialog kills System Exec.vi !

    Hello!
I just experiance a really strange behaviour in my application. I managed to reduce it to a much smaller VI, please do not look at the framework but at the actual problem, this test MAIN vi looks like this since it is a skeleton of a bigger application (i had to remove many non-relevant and confidential parts).
So. I have a USB watchdog relay from a 3rd party company, which I can use perfectly in my application via a supplied EXE. I call this exe from LabVIEW using the System Exec.vi , and it works perfectly and the Watchdog functions as it should. However I see a strange bug (?): if I launch a Time stamp control dialog browser window, it "pauses" somehow the System Exec.vi. So my watchdog command setting stops, relay opens, problem!
I zipped my test application and I can reproduce this same problem even if I just call a command line PAUSE win command. Note that, in my real application, the Time stamp control is located in a separate, dynamically callled (call and forget method) VI, but I get the same bug!!!
    Steps to reproduce the bug:
    start my application
observe as the bottom loop iterates
Click on the Time Stamp control's browser to pop-up the dialog window.
You can see the iteration of the bottom loop stopped (DAQ loop iterations)
if you close the dialog window, the bottom loop continues execution
    What the heck is this???
How is this possible, why there is "interference" between a totally separated control and a bottom loop System Exec.vi ???
    Thanks for any suggestion!
In my real app, as a workaround, I just hide the browser element of the Time stamp control...
    Solved!

Thanks! Yep, I can do a workaround, like create my own time stamp dialog window to pop-up if i wanna be "fancy".
But this is important to keep in mind, if we use the SystemExec vi!
If someone can explane this issue/feature deeper, I will be happy, but I mark this above post as solution, thanks!

I figured this would be the best place to post it so that an Apple representative might see it.
Actually it's not as likely to be seen here since there are so many posts for any Apple rep to have to scan. The best way to report an issue to Apple is through the feedback pages or, if you're a member of Apple's developer program, through the bug reporter.

How do I prevent GMT time stamps from interfering with my calendars? This did not occur until I upgraded to OS 8.1.2

    Hi All,
I am trying to develop JSP client for a conversational webservice. I amtrying
    it in two ways and
    none of them is working.
    1)
I have put the Java Proxy file generated by Weblogic Workshop for myWebservice
    in the lib
directory of the web application. According to article posted in "DearJohn" series,
    my proxy
must have methods that take one additional argument to pass in Header infoapart
    from all
the arguments mentioned by me. But, I don't see any methods like this inmy proxy
    and
    corresponding stub.
    2)
Other suggested method is to use Webservices Control. In this, I amsetting a
    string as
Conversation ID when I invoke a method that is marked to startconversation. Further,
    if I
invoke any other method marked Continue in the same JSP it works. But,from another
    JSP
where I set the same conversation ID and then try to call a method markedas Continue,
it does not work. It say, check whether you have start a conversation. Ican see
    my conversation
in Test browser and I am calling continue method before max-idle-time.
I am not sure which step I am missing. Help Required!!!
    Thanks in advance,

  • Converting time stamp to double

    Hello,
I am currently using the write to spreadsheet file.vi to save data.
    It looks something like this:
I also want to add the date and time stamp into the saved data but do not know a way of converting a date and time stamp to 'double format'. When the date and time stamp is in teh double format I can easily concatenate the data stream with the 'date and time' in a 2-D array.

  • Excel time stamp format mismatch

    Hello all,
I am writing time stamp into an excel file. Time stamp for time 2013 & 2012 appears different although format & method of writing is same in both the cases.
In the attached file below. When time stamp is 2012 then format of time stamp in excel file & in input is same but when time stamp is 2013 then format of time stamp what i am writing actually & what appears in excel file is different.
Dont know where exactly it is going wrong ?
Kudos are always welcome if you got solution to some extent.

Thats what my question is ?
Just to be absolutely certain I understand you: when you type a date in 2013 into an Excel sheet, it displays differently than when you type a date in 2012 into the same cell in the same Excel sheet. Is that correct? If you did this with two different files, try it with a single file.
If you see this behavior when you enter the text directly from the keyboard, why are you posting it in a LabVIEW forum? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with LabVIEW.
Why can't you upload your Excel files that demonstrate this behavior?

  • How to add date/time stamp to PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro?

    Hello,
I'd like to add a date/time stamp to a PDF so that when I print the document, the current date/time will be printed as well.  Is it possible to do this?  I found the following posting (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/502915), but am not able to get it to work for me.  I don't really know anything about using Javascript.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure it will work, but you can try using the app.hideMenuItem() method. See reference here.

  • Folders last modified time stamp are not updated in Windows 7

After changing any .cpp file in Visual Studio, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
IS NOT updated. What's happening ?
However when I change a Word (.docx) file, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
IS updated ! How come ?

    Hi,
If you thought this issue gets worse and if you have already set NtfsDisblesLastAccessUpdate to 0, then please revoke it to 1.
From the above Blog we can see that in Windows 7, the "Last Modified" field on log files is not updated when a program attempts to open the file or the utility is stopped, this is a design change to NTFS , becase we cache the metadata for
folder contents and do not refresh it until a handle is closed on an open file or an explicit call is made to retrieve the properties of an individual file.
Per your current issue that even if you closed these Vistual Studio files, the timestamp still didn't update. Please try the following and check whether any of them work:
    - open the file in a second program
    - view the proprties of the file
    - "dir <filename>" at a command prompt
In addition, if you edit these Vistual Studio files with Notepad(Before doing that, please close all the programs include Vistual Studio) and try to reproduce the issue, does the issue still occur?

  • How to plot contour using time stamp

    Hello,
I need help on the following:
I acquire size distribution data each minute from a particle counter. I would like to plot the data as a contour plot using time stamp on the x-axis, the size bins on the y-axis and the 2D data on the z-axis. I cannot get the contour functionality in LV 2011 to accept the time stamp format. I did change the format of the x-axis to "absolute time" but it still doesn't work, see simplified diagram below.
Any advice on reformatting a time stamp to something the contour plot understands??!?

    Hi Mogensen!
You could use the "To Double Precision Float" vi to convert the timestamp to a double prescion number as mentioned in this forum post "time stamp to number function". As mentioned in that forum, the number is based on the LabVIEW epoch date so you can use it to compare values taken at a specific time.
I can't look right now but will that work?
I thought the 3D stuff was single and the magnitude of the time stamp would swamp the difference in time stamps.
    Just thinking out loud.

I was thinking about something like the snipped added below. My version is very simple, but I think that it shows how it can be done. You need to have Excel on your machine. (Disclaimer: This is my very first use of the Report Generation Toolkit in LabVIEW, so maybe there is a better way to do it)
I made the VI labels visible, so that you know what function was used, if the Toolkit is not included in your LabVIEW license. The same thing can be done with ActiveX automation. If you are not familiar with it, there are a lot of examples in the forums about generating Excel files via ActiveX.
Edit: Attached is the Excel file generated from this code

  • How to add a time stamp to an array

Currently the VI that I have attached has the capacity to log data from the set of 14 arrays. I currently have a tick counter hooked up. However, I would like to add a time stamp that will display the elapsed time in seconds from the begining of the data logging. Could anyone help me out with that? Please see the attached VI and sorry for how messy it is, I have yet to go back and clean up the wiring.
the mess of arrays on the lower left hand of the while loop feed into the "Index Array" building block and from there they will be scaled (for most of the wires the multiplyer is just there so that I can see what channel they will be when I hook it up for logging) The wires then feed into a "Build Array" Building block and I assmed that is where I had to hook up the time stamp for me to be able to log it.

That tool does not exist before LabVIEW 8.6.  The original poster attached a VI from LV 8.0
Attached is the VI where I ran Block Diagram cleanup in 8.6.1f1 and back saved to LV 8.0.  I went through and cleaned up almost all the coercion dots as well.
The original poster should start working from this file since it is much cleaner than the one they posted.

First, let me congratulate you on taking your first steps to learning LabVIEW. If you have not already done it, I highly recommend you go through the online tutorials. You have an actual project to work on, so application of what you learn will be fairly immediate.
For your actual program issue, you need to read the data from the Excel file and convert it to a timestamp before you set your filename. The order of operation of your program is to set the TDMS file name while simulataneously reading from the Excel file. After you have already created the TDMS file, you convert the data to a timestamp and write this to your timestamp front panel control. Note that the first point you write to the TDMS file may or may not be what you think it is. It could easily be the same 180000.000 value you are using to name the TDMS file. You have what is known as a race condition. The order of operation between the read and write of the timestamp control is not known and can be variable. It is one of the reasons that you should NEVER use local variables to pass data around. Use wires. In LabVIEW, wires are the data and take the place of variables in a text base language. Front panel controls should be used only for user interace reasons. In your loop, you should wire the timestamp from its current conversion (wired into the timestamp on the front panel) directly to the TDMS write (currently wired from a local variable of timestamp).
A couple of other things. You do not need to convert your data arrays to matrices to index them. This can be done directly with Index Array from the array palette. This single primitive will replace the Array Subset, convert to matrix, and index matrix primitives.
You do not need to go through a string conversion to produce a timestamp. The Date/Time to Seconds primitive in the timing palette will do it directly. You will need to populate the cluster input.
When you posted your code, you did not include your subVIs. In the future, include all your VIs, either separately or in a ZIP file.
Finally, to solve your intial problem, use Index Array to pull the first row of data from the Excel file, then convert this to a timestamp using Date/Time to Seconds. Use this to create your TDMS file.
You may have noticed, if you do all this, you do not need your timestamp front panel control, other than as a simple monitor.
    Good luck! Welcome to LabVIEW.
