Hiding custom column in Weekly view of the Time Entry in ESS

We have added a custom field to time entry (CAT2). This field is displaying in both (weekly and daily) view of the time entry screen in ESS. Our requirement is too display the field only in daily view.
Is there a way to hide the custom column in the weekly view of the time sheet in ESS?

well it would require modification to the iview , it wont be a easy quickfix cause you lauch the iview it is built using CAC2 field customisation
you can explore Personalisation for the daily view hope it can work!

Times missing in left column in week view

I am using iCal 2.0.3 and the hour times to not show in the left column in week view. Noon is present, but no others. There have been a few occasions that times have shown up, but then the next time they are gone. I set up a new user and went into iCal and the dates show. All my prefs are the same in my account and the "new user".
I am suspecting that there is corrupted prefs file of some sort, but I am reluctant to just delete files without knowing which one. Since I installed 10.4 a few months ago, I have found a lot of settings changed that upgrades should have kept intact in preferences.
Any suggestions?

Custom column in List view

Dear guru's,
I'd like to ask you if its possible to add custom column in list view. For example in tc. FBL1N I'd like to add a column with custom text (for example with value "1" for counting the sum of rows). Is it possible to do without creating custom program?

It's not possible to add some extra text in standard out-put without modifying it or creating custom program.
For adding a column in your list view. I think this write statement will help you
WRITE 'You can overwrite the following line:'.
FORMAT INPUT ON INTENSIFIED OFF.
WRITE 'WRITE HERE'.
FORMAT INPUT OFF INTENSIFIED ON.

In Oracle9i Real Application Clusters, querying a GV$ view retrieves the V$ view information from all qualified instances. In addition to the V$ information, each GV$ view contains an extra column named INST_ID of datatype NUMBER. The INST_ID column displays the instance number from which the associated V$ view information was obtained. The INST_ID column can be used as a filter to retrieve V$ information from a subset of available instances.

Highlight column in weekly view - Working time

I have a requirement, I need to highlight the columns sunday and saturday to a different color in the weekly view of record working time iView .Could anybody please tell how can this be accomplished

Thanks for your blog, as always. I had the exact same requirement and disaapointed that ctrl+right click did not had an option and was wondering if I have to do a NWDI customization for this simple change. It was an excellent blog and solved my issue.

The calendar - weekly view for the iPhone

Doesn't really have a question but rather a wish for Apple. I'm using my iPhone 4S for everything but find the calendar a but unsatisfying. Please give me the option to see the calendar on a weekly view and not only daily/monthly/list.

Publishing Ical in weekly view with start time I want

I have my Ical set up to start at 11am and end at 9pm. When I publish my calendar it still shows start time at 7am on weekly view. How do I publish my Ical with the start and end times I want?

Day/Week view problem with times not showing

When I view the Day or Week option I do not get the times listed. Where the times should be it has "Sat PM" and "Sat AM" (the AM and PM are in the right place but all the times have been replaced with "Sat").
I have trashed all my plist files and started again. Restarted my computer etc. Any idea's how to fix this ?

I played with this a bit, and IMHO his is a nasty bug. The times should show per preferences. I find that if I change any of the time preferences, the times disappear completely in iCal.
sigh I set the Region format for Japan, so I guess I'll have to live with a 24-hour clock.

Credit of Add Custom Duty in capital purchases at the time of J1iex

As you all are aware that Indian law allows taking the 100 % credit of additional customs duty in case of capital procurement and only 50 % credit of CVD, Cess on CVD and S Ces s on CVD at the time of J1iex in first year itself
We are facing the problem in PRD client that, we are not able to take the 100 % credit of Additional Customs duty at the time of posting the J1iex. System considering only 50 % for all duties.
I have tried the same scnerio in development client and observed that it is working ok there.

Unable to access the Time Statements in ESS Portal

The user is getting a critical error(com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.java.FPMRuntimeException) when trying to access his time statements from ESS portal. The user recently moved to a different country and trying to access statement there. Are there any country specific paramaters that are needed to be changed or set when a employee is reallocated?

We are also facing similar kind of issue.
When i select type of leave as annual it is giving an error message as
" Parameter missing in call of method BUILD_ACTOR_SELECT_CLAUSE in class CA_PT_REQ_ACTOR "
But when i select some other leave type and click review it is working fine, again if i click on previous step and change the leave type to annual it is working fine without giving any error message.

CATS - error in workflow while releasing the time entry record

Dear Experts,
I have setup the configuration for CATS with approval along with workflow. I have maintained the Entry profile and also the Approval steps.
After entering the time sheet and while releasing the record, system is prompting to enter the user id, I have entered the user id and click OK button, system is producing the following error message:
An error occurred on starting the workflow
Message no. LR365
Diagnosis
For technical reasons, the system cannot start the SAP Business Workflow.
Procedure
Contact your system administrator.
I have activated the work flow customization using Trnx SWU3.
Can some one please help me out in solving this problem.

I got the solution, we have to maintain the task TS31000004 as general task in the transaction PFTC - 31000004 -> Additional Data -> Agent Assignment -> Maintain, in the next screen GOTO -> Attributes (F8), then Change the task type to General task.
Also we have to create variant by name WORKFLOW for the program RCATSB01.
The above has solved my problem.

You can use powershell script below which loops through each libraries and sets view.You can modify the script to user it for single library as well.

Hiding a column from materialized view

Hello All,
I have created a materialized view which aggregates the monthly wise data, as we know, for refresh on commit of this view i have selected count(*) and count(col).
My problem is i don't want these columns to appear in the materialized view.

If you include the columns in the select statement that generates the materialized view they will be visible. So your choices are:
(1) don't include them in the query
(2) overley the materialized view with a plain view.
Apparently you don't like option 2, which leaves option 1. I must confess I don't understand your original post, so maybe you could explain in more depth why you have these columns you don't want. There may be some other way of achieving your aim.

I'm looking for a way to easily view the total amount of remaining storage space for a virtual host. At present, viewing the properties for a host in VMM is the only way to view this in the GUI. I was looking at sourcing a Powershell command to do this,
and then feed it into a custom column, for easy viewing within the VMM main window. This is probably best suited to the Powershell forums, but I placed the post here, as I may have overlooked another way to achieve this within VMM itself. Has anyone desired
for such a thing?
