Hiding Guestlist in Calendar

Hi everyone. I'm trying to figure out how to "hide" the guestlist on an event? I am coordinating an event with several people and want to invite them, but I do not want them all to see who the other attendees are. Whenever I send an invite, it will always show the other persons included. I am transitioning from Google Calendar where I could uncheck guests can "view guestlist" but do not see anything similar in iCloud settings.

So you're saying that the Description column contains information when you send an email? I would suggest creating a workflow that clears the field out.

  • Remove time tooltip from calendar view

    Hi,
I removed the default time from calendar view using some css code, but time tool tip is still showing when i hover it. How can i remove default time from calendar tooltip.

For hiding times in Calendar View:
Just add CSS to the page:
    .ms-acal-time{display:none;}
and for ToolTip; refer this also:

Is the calendar acutally displaying?  Meaning have you selected a different calendar and created the "issue" by simply hiding the AOL calendar entries?

  • My default google calendar keeps hiding itself

Since I got my iPhone 5 (and iOS 6) my default google calendar keeps hiding itself in spite of me manually selecting it to be shown with the rest of my google calendars in the Calendar app.  Seems like an iOS 6 bug.

Google Calendar and iOS 7 are certainly not incompatible. I've been using multiple Google calendars on my iPhone and 2 iPads since iOS 7 was released.
Have you restored your devices as new rather than from back up? If all else fails, you could always try using a different calendar app. Sunrise or Fantastical are both quite nice.

  • Hiding notes in shared calendar

In the old iCal (prior to Version 6.0 (1648)) you had an option to share the notes or not. How do I toggle this setting in Version 6.0? We are all on 10.8.5.
    Peace,

  • In working with my calendar, i don't know what i might have done, but all entries on Fridays, starting from Friday, March 14, simply disappeared. my time machine was not functioning and am wondering if this info is hiding somewhere in the cloud?

In working with icalendar, i inadvertantly lost all Friday entries after March 14th.  My time machine was not hooked up.  Hoped that the cloud might have this information.

You can check to see if they are still in iCloud by looking at your calendar on icloud.com.  If they are, go to System Preferences>iCloud on your Mac, uncheck Calendars, choose Delete from Mac (they will still be in iCloud), restart your Mac, then go back and sign back in.  If they aren't on icloud.com you might just give it some time to see if they reappear due to a server glitch.

  • Double notifications of emails in iOS6 and calendar hiding

I have gmail (exchange) setup on the iOS6. I also tried getting notifications (notification center an/or lock screen). Unfortunately, the system isn't only passing notifications of new messages from INBOX but also from "ALL MAIL"....which means double notifications
Furthermore, notification center doesn't respect the "hide calendar", so it is also passing calendar events into notification center for calendars that are HIDDEN in the Calendar app.  I'd have thought this would have been fixed from iOS5 to iOS6.  But no?

Ok. Found the solution to problem #1:  In each account, you can select "folders to push" in exchange...I had "all mail" set to push...it doesn't actually push anyway, and it also causes it to be reported in Notification Center.
Problem two, however, still remains. Thanks.

  • Outlook for Mac - Calendars Suddenly Hiding

    Hello everyone,
I've been scouring the net trying to find someone else having this issue and have not had any luck. Hoping maybe one of you might have some insight.
We are running Exchange 2010. I have a Mac user who is running OS X 10.4.4 and (as of my posting this) he is running the most up to date version of Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac.
The issue he is having is that randomly, shared calendars that he has selected will become deselected and not show in his calendar. The shared calendar is still connected, the check box to enable viewing it has just be deselected. Once he checks the box again, the calendar will once again show up. 5 mins later, it (or another shared calendar) will deselect itself again.
I'm not really sure where to start with this one. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

No, the only online solution supported with Office for Mac is Microsoft Exchange.

  • Birthday calendar bizarre repetitions and other issues

I have the STRANGEST things happening with birthdays on both my iPhone (5, 32GB, white, iOS 6) and iPad (32GB, iOS 6, white).
I'm posting it here in the iPhone forum, assuming more people may be able to help.
First of all, I sync a Google Apps calendar with my iPhone and iPad via CalDAV. I also sync my Google Contacts with my address book (including birthdays), which syncs via my MacBook on OS 10.6.8 using the sync icon in the system tray. (I hesitate to call it MobileMe, even though that's what the System Preferences calls it, because it really has nothing to do with MobileMe -- it does not sync via MobileMe [I do not have an account], it just syncs my Address Book with Google with my phone or iPad when hooked up. It is through a WIRED connection that it does the final sync to the device.)
So, my birthdays from my address/contact books and my Google contacts DO sync and they DO show up on both my iOS devices in the fancy Birthday calendar with the cute cake symbol, as well as in my Google calendar.
    NOW HERE'S THE CRAZY PARTS.
Sometime recently, my birthdays were getting repeated. But oddly, enough they are a different amount on the two iOS devices. I have 18 copies of all birthdays (on the same day) in my iPhone calendar and 68 (YES, SIXTY-EIGHT COPIES) in my iPad of every birthday.
My Google calendar shows NO SUCH ERRONEOUS copies.
The crazier thing is that the copies of the birthdays are NOT on the birthday calendar. In fact, IT'S AS IF THEY JUMP AROUND ON DIFFERENT CALENDARS. They show up all one color, but some random color. They will appear or disappear only SOMETIMES if I turn "off" some calendars or others (for example, once they would go away if I hid a "Personal" calendar, another if I hid a calendar I subscribe to via Google but sync via CalDAV from Weather Underground, and another calendar that is a Google calendar but also my "default calendar" in the iOS settings). And this is all within minutes.
When I go into an instance of the repeated calendar event, it will actually say it belongs to my default calendar, regardless of what was hiding or showing it before.
When I try to "edit" the birthday just to see what happens, it crashes the app.
    WHAT. THE. ______???
    Here's what already I've tried:
Searching the internet for someone with a similar problem. NADA.
Turning off the option to sync my Google birthday calendar via the Google sync page (I think it's actually unnecessary anyway, since iOS pulls from the contact book, anyway). That did nothing.
Hiding all calendars and then selecting them to show one at a time to figure out which calendar was causing the problem, but as I mentioned above, it is not consistent.
    Re-syncing my devices with iTunes.
Searching for and merging duplicate contacts in Google contacts.
Turning off the iOS birthday calendar.
Killing and re-starting the calendar app.
    Re-starting my iOS devices.
Re-syncing my contact book with my devices.
Someone. Please. Tell me you're having this problem and that you have the solution? I'm going crazy over here! I can't remember anything that may have triggered this to happen.

I figured it out! (Or at least, it's been fixed for a day on both my iPad and iPhone.)
By the way, I discovered more oddities, but I'm not going to even bother with describing them.)
I am assuming everyone here has been syncing their birthday calendar off of Google/Gmail (whether CalDAV or Exchange, it doesn't matter).
The key to this is to know three things:
    A) Tgara was on to something: syncing the Google birthday calendar in your Google sync settings -- even though it does not show up in your calendar list on the iphone/ipad -- is the culprit.
    B) BUT, simply un-syncing will not make them go away unless you completely un-sync all your Google calendars. Once the repetitions get into your phone/iPad via they are kind of "stuck" there, and you've got to go back to the beginning to un-stick them for good.
    C) Thus, it may require some trial and error because I had to repeat this a couple times. I may no have the right order of operations, but this is my best recreation/guess.
How I fixed it (I had to repeat a couple times for some reason):
    1) I'm debating whether you have to do this step (I think I did it on my iPhone, but not my iPad, and yet both worked), but it doesn't take long, so you could just to be safe: on your iOS device, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- delete your Google calendar account.
    2) On your iOS device, go to the proper Google sync page to choose what calendars are available for syncing.
    For Exchange, go to: https://m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/device
For CalDAV and Gmail/normal sync, go to: https://www.google.com/calendar/b/0/iphoneselect
For Google Apps CalDAV (although it worked for me on the normal page above), go to: https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/yourhosteddomain.com/iphoneselect
If you're not sure which method you use, do both of them.
    3) Sign in and choose the device in question (if prompted) and then uncheck ALL the calendars. Save/apply.
    4) Go to calendar app. You should have an On my iPhone or On my iPad calendar and the iOS birthday calendar. Ensure that no repetitions are seen when you check mark each calendar idividually and also collectively to be visible. If there are, repeat the steps above.
    5) Once the repetitions are gone, go to your iOS settings and add the calendar account back in if you removed it in step one.
    6) Go back to the calendar app. Again, you will have two calendars -- one default Google calendar and one ios birthday calendar. Turn on each one at a time and also together to make sure the repetitions are gone. If they are not, repeat the above again.
    7) Once they are gone, go back to the Google sync page(s) and add all the calendars you want back, BUT DO NOT SELECT YOUR BIRTHDAY CALENDAR. Save/apply.
    8) Go to the calendar app. Open up the calendar list. Wait for it to refresh. Now you should be able to turn on all your calendars you wish to see, wait for it to propagate, and confirm there are no copies. If there are copies, repeat all the steps!
YOU DO NOT need to erase your contacts. Not sure about iGust's work-around, but that's unnecessary. And christina44, I actually think this is a different problem. All my copies were on the correct date.

  • Hiding text box based on check box checking

    Hello,
I have a jsp in which based on whether the check box is checked or unchecked I want to hide or show a text box. I am including the text box in a div tag & calling a javascript function to set the style of the div to hidden or shown based on whether the check box is checked or not. although i am getting the correct values in the alerts the text box is not getting hidden.
       <td class="label"><label for="chk1"><gbms:message key="lblSearchforDeletedCustomer"/>:</label></td><td class="input">
                  <html-el:checkbox property="chk1" value="N" tabindex="3" onclick="javascript:checkboxClicked(document.forms['formCustomerOrVehicleMaintenance'])" onfocus="fnShowError(document.formCustomerOrVehicleMaintenance.chk1);"></html-el:checkbox> <gbms:message key="chek"/>

  • Problem with NotiCenter and Calendar; multiple bdays w/Gmail or Outlook

So I am trying to figure out how to run down a VERY annoying problem that affects both my calendar notifications as well as OmniFocus.
Using either my Google or Outlook.com calendar (not at the same time, either or) both calendars automatically include a calendar for contacts' birthdays. Apple's iCAL or whatever does this as well.
No matter if I hide the Apple birthday calendar or not, it still shows up in the notification center. Ditto for the Google/Outlook version. I've tried to disable that option on the website (Outlook or Gmail) but it's basically the same deal - it "hides" it, but it still "reports" it to the iPhone. So it shows up twice, once for the Apple contact birthdays and once for the Outlook.
This is incredibly annoying because then my notification is cluttered with two copies of each birthday, as is the calendar in OmniFocus.
Is there a way to disable either the Outlook or iCAL birthday calendar COMPLETELY (not just "hide" it, because hiding still reports to notification center even if it doesn't show up in the app itself)?

    Hello Matthew,
I was researching the issue you are describing and found a way to disable the Birthday reminders on the iPhone in the settings. From the iPhone User Guide found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf page 67:
Set default alert times for birthdays and events: Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Alert Times.
When you go to the Default Alert times there is an option there for None which should disable a notification for the iPhone birthday calendar events.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Can't Host a Wiki Server's calendar using Server 10.8

I have setup server and attempted to have one of my calendars on iCal sync with the Wiki calendar
I have a user called bernard
I have a calendar in ical called bernardtraining
In the Wiki the user bernard has a calendar but I cant get ical to sync with the Wiki.
    In iCal Accounts
I set up an account in ical lets call it server.myserver.private (hiding actual name)
    user name = bernard
password is set to user password
    Refresh 5 minutes
    In Server Settings iCal Accounts
    Server address server.myserver.private
server path aut populates to /principals/__uids__/7A7D303D-8265-47D5-BAD1-01E3DDD4CC37/  (maybe this is the problem)
    Port = auto
    SSL = No (for now)
    No delgates
I then went through this process.....
When you set up iCal Server to provide the calendar service for a wiki, Wiki Server provides access to the calendars, so users who do not have wiki privileges do not have calendar service.
Use serveradmin via the Terminal app to change the setting.sudo serveradmin set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:Enabled = "<setting>" The default value for <setting> is “no”.
The other possible value is “yes.”
    Command example:
sudo serveradmin set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:Enabled = "yes"
Use serveradmin via the Terminal app to designate the Wiki server.sudo serveradmin set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:Hostname = "<DNSWikiServer>" The default value for <DNSWikiServer> is the Wiki server’s fully qualified domain name.
    Command example:
    sudo serveradmin set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:Hostname = "wikiweb.example.com"
Use serveradmin via the Terminal app to encrypt the connection.sudo serveradmin set set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:UseSSL = "(yes|no)" The default value is “no”.
    Command example:
sudo serveradmin set set calendar:Authentication:Wiki:UseSSL = "yes"
    Still no success.
    Can anyone help?

I did, and had it working last night. It won't now, though.
I don't understand port triggering, and when I attempted to look up the help files on the linksys site, they told me to register first - then they wouldn't let me fill in the email address section of the registration, so..
I don't use a firewall, and this computer I'm trying to host the server on is directly connected to the router. The wireless connection is with a laptop upstairs. I just checked, and my IP changed, but fixing that in Port Forwarding still does nothing. I can host the server... It just doesn't show up on gamespy.
Just about everywhere I read up on this, it mentions having to have a static IP address. I went through the guides that tell how to go about getting one set up, but still doesn't work. I don't have anything even remotely mentioning linksys in Network Connections though - that's on the laptop. Could this be the problem?
Another problem I ran into when setting up the router, was I'd get an error unpacking languages, or something. Got it every time, but it let me move on after closing the error so didn't think much of it.

  • Events are not showing in my calendar

I've just installed Lightning Add-On to Thunderbird and I soon found that the events disappeared from view in the Calendar.
I followed notes to add the UK and US holiday network calendars (eg: iCal at: http://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/caldata/UKHolidays.ics) and the UK ones appeared, until I selected the calendar section again to add the us ones.
    All calendars are ticked.
I clicked synchronize calendars to no avail.
I can see Father's Day in the list at the top, but not on the day, week, multiweek or month tab.
I hunted the docs, but couldn't find anything that would show/hide events from those views for calendars that are switched on.
    Any thoughts welcome.
    Thanks
    Thunderbird 24.5.0
    Lightning 2.6.5
    Windows 7 x64 (Home)

I had cause to restart Thunderbird moments ago (Virtual Identify add-on wasn't picking up a new SMTP account).
I found that a Thunderbird process was "hiding" and used TaskManager to Kill it.
Virtual Identity picked up the changes.
The events appeared on the calendar, and in the Events sidebar etc...
    Hopefully that's sorted it.
