Hi everybody,
Im trying to create a link from infoview to a WAD template, but when I insert the URL in infoView it gets stuck in a loading loop.
Is it possible to create a link from InfoView to a WAD template? Or is it possible force the link to open in a new window?

openDocument is not an option because im not trying to create a link to a document inside infoview.
WAD is a SAP frontend BI tool. Im trying to create link in InfoView to a Web Application Designer template. Actually my question could be paraphrased to: How to load a BEx query into a html Frame? (The problem is the same)
As the domains of InfoView and of the SAP portal (where the template will be displayed) are different, the loading process get stuck in a loop. I've heard the solution might lay on [Domain Relaxing|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/28/7c383f717b5f03e10000000a114084/frameset.htm].
Has anybody implemented a workaround for this?

Turn logging off for a roll off job

Hi Everyone,
We are running into an issue in one of our bw production systems. Once a week we run a chain that deletes data that is past our required retention period. The infoproviders we are doing the data roll off on are quite large. Most contain two years worth of transactional data. We have been running into issues with this process because the transaction log keeps filling and the job gets rolled back. In sm21 the errors are as follows:
Database error -964 requires intervention by the database administrator
Database error -964 at UPD access to table BTCCTL
> SQL0964C The transaction log for the database is full.
> SQLSTATE=57011 row=1
Perform rollback
I am wondering if there is a way to turn logging off for this particular job. We do not require the logging. I realize the rollback cannot occur without the logs, but we don't need the rollback to happen, because we want the data deleted.
Any suggestions?

Hi Charla,
I don't think turn logging off is the best way to resolve this problem. I'd suggest you contact your DBA/BASIS for the root cause of this issue. They will correct it with the most professional way
Generally once we see SQL error or DB error we just ask for their help.

there are some korean websites that I used to go
frequently with my PC....
they work with the web browsers I have...
and yet,I cannot log in for some reason...
can somebody help me find out

Here is another similar problem altho unfortunately not an answer to the first problem.. When I try to open the Palm Inc. website, the various parts of the site seem to overlay earch other. It's as if the page were cut up and dropped onto my screen, with some areas not readable or partially visible, and usually all the blanks to fill in are covered. I have tried to log into their discussion group but when I try to activate my account. I find the Continue button is covered by the site's various tabs. An email to Palm has resulted in no answer yet, but I'm hoping someone here has had a similar problem. This has happened on only one or two other websites and I can't remember which ones.
By the way, I am using the Explorer 5.3 browser which comes with my bellsouth.net email program. Besides the loyalty to Mac, should I switch over to using Safari? I see a number of problems using it, like not being able to log into bank chsecking account websites.

This problem is often caused by "Google Drive." If it's installed, I suggest you first check for an update. If that doesn't solve the problem, remove it according to the developer's instructions. You may need to boot in safe mode to do so. Back up all data before making any changes.
If you use Google Drive and don't want to remove it, then try deselecting the option in its preferences to "show status icons." According to reports, that may be enough to stop the Finder from crashing.

Hi,
As you have match, I suggest that you create a new library by holding ctrl whist launching iTunes. Select create new library. Sign into iTunes Store and activate match. You will now have access to your music and will be able to stream your music.
Options : get a new external drive formatted for mac and either download music from match or copy music from old drive to new one. Alternatively you could reformat old drive and download music from match - I would not be comfortable using this option as it means erasing drive before being able to use with mac.

Can't log-off from Leopard, stuck at log-off screen

I installed Leopard on a stock Mac mini 1.5GHz and it seemed to work just fine, all(most) my apps ran just fine, I was able to get the latest update and restart.
Then I decided to Log-off and it just gives me the blue screen and the spinning circle forever (seems stuck there)...
I can hit the power button to put it to sleep and wake up, but it's still stuck at this blue screen.
Is there any way to get it to shutdown and reboot via some key combo (force quit key combo dont work in this condition) or ssh in?
I'd rather not have to do the hard reboot (holding down power button in the back until it shuts down)...
Or is this my only choice?

If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
I looked up here and solved the problem by changing my apple ID back to the previous one, log off, then changed back to the new ID.

Turn off log level for Individual Users

Hi,
we want to turn off logging level of individual users. We usually go to Identity and click on the user to set log level '0' but we have LDAP security setup so don't have idea how to do it.

As we are using LDAP security we will not have users in RPD so i cant set to'0' in rpd.
New Question: Suppose If I am able to set log level to '0' for a user i.e User1 and when he logs into OBIEE and get's a error while running report like say table or view doesn't exist or non of fact table is compatible or number records exceed etc... and Error will show to user as Error Number and says "Please contact System Administrator for more details".
Me considering as Admin if i want to debug that error that User1 is getting from above scenario and when i open nqquery log file will I be able to see the log for that report which User1 is getting error or will it show NO LOGLEVEL Found.

I have created multiple instances of OC4J that are configured to run on different ports and so on each instance I have deployed a single web application . And I started the 2 oc4j instances by transferring thier error/log messages to a file. And the other way is ..
I have download from jakarta site a package called servhelper . This servhelper is a thread that is started in a startup servlet and stopped in the destroy method of that startup servlet. So this thread will automatically capture all the system.out.println's and will print those to a file. I believe that this thread program is synchronized. So in this method I need not run multiple instances of OC4J instead each deployed web application on single instance of oc4j uses the same thread program (ofcourse a copy of thread program is put in each of the deployed web applications directories) to log messages on to different log files.
Can you comment on my above 2 approached to logging debugging messages and a compartive explanation to LOG4J and how to use LOG4J using a simple servlet, simple jsp is appreciated ...

alter system set audit_trail=true scope=spfile;.
Setting this parameter bounce of database
Enable the following audit option
SQL>AUDIT ALL BY ACCESS WHENEVER NOT SUCCESSFUL
Then query AUD$ as the following example

My iPad shut off for some reason. The battery was charged. I couldn't get it to turn back on until I pressed the on button and home at the same time.Why did that happen?

I had trouble upgrading my iPad2 toiOS 5.1.I have had it for about 1 year. I had never upgraded it. I tried a few times but I kept getting a message that I would loose everything on my iPad if I did. I bit the bullet andfigured that I would restore it from the back up on my laptop. Some of the backup files were corrupted. I was unable to retore my exchange email or my notes from the noted app.
Today, my iPad shut off for no reason and I couldn't get it to turn on again, even though the battery was 70% charged. I had to press the on button and home button to get it to come back on.

I'm not sure what problem you are experiancing but it would be well worth contacting apple.
If you have had it for less than one year it should be covered under warrenty

How to change 2 phones from synching to the same icloud for seperate users

My husband has an iphone 4 and I have the 4s. For some reaseon when he set the phones up, all of our information is backed up to the same icloud account, even though we both have seperate apple id's. Anytime we plug our phone(s) into the computer, the apps for his phone download to mine and vice versa. I keep getting a message that there is not enough storage for the icloud backup on my phoneand I know it is because both of our phones are synching to the same icloud account. How can I correct this?

it's possible that you're not actually using two seperate Apple ID's, but still use different emailaddresses to log in, meaning it's an alias for the same apple ID instead of seperate Apple ID's.
Go to appleid.apple.com and log in there. You'll see a primary emailaddress, wich is either yours or your husbands.
If you then scroll down, you'll see alternate emailaddresses, wich again, will contain either your or your husbands emailaddress.
If this is the case:
Remove the alternate emailaddress from that account and create a totally new Apple ID with the emailaddress you removed.
Although this is possible, i't not very likely. Are you getting his contacts/calendars and stuff too on your device ??
Apps can be synced to your device, regardless of icloud account settings btw...

I have a public work calendar that I wish to share with colleagues in the office. No issues for those having a Mac or an iPhone, but how can I share the calendar with Outlook for Windows users?

The steps detailed below explain how to go about publicly share a calendar (which doesn't require that one be an iCloud user to accept).
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar you want to share, then select Public Calendar.
Note: You can also share the same calendar privately. For instructions, see the previous task, “Share a calendar privately.”
To invite people to view the calendar, click Email Link.
Type one or more email addresses in the To field, then click Send.
The people you specify automatically receive an invitation email that includes the calendar’s URL. An invitee doesn’t need to be an iCloud user to accept an invitation to view a shared public calendar.
In the sidebar, a shared calendar has a dark Share button.
You can also resend invitations to one or more invited participants at any time.

Song titles are getting cut off for some reason

I never had this problem before but for some reason the last few songs I have imported and encoded into AAC have the titles cut off after (I guess) a certain amount of characters. This has never been a problem before. Is there a preference that I need to change? I'm running 7.0.1.8 for Windows.
I have many other songs with longer titles than the latest I have uploaded. This is a strange new occurence.
