Hiding Links on a Screen

Hi Experts,
We are trying to customise the ECM application in MSS. On the compenstion planning screen, there is a link called "Show Additional Information". I would like to hide/remove this link. Any idea on how I can do that?

Hi Murtuza,
I did check wdDoModify of the view. It is not coming from there. I just want ti be sure I am explaining properly. If you go to ESS screens, it shows you steps on the top. Like Step 2 is Review, then submit. So, it shows 4 steps to complete a process. Below those steps, it is showing these links. It shows like 'Show Additional Information'. "Show statistics" etc.

I've just gotten a chance to check out these responses. About
the Flash - no can do. Don't have it. And about breaking the file
apart, that would get messy because I have several files already.
OK. At least I know my options are limited to linking to page 1
from outside, so I'll have to be creative.

Well, it doesn't work consistently here. I have Dock Hiding on. When a screen does not contain a full screen app, it works fine. Moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen (where I have the dock) pops up the dock as expected. If the screen has a full screen app in place (usually Mail or Safari), the behaviour is very inconsistent. Moving the mouse to the bottom of the screen, waving it back and forth, up and down, with the odd click, will bring up the dock in maybe 10 to 15% of attempts. Take the app out of full screen, and it works perfectly. Put it back in full screen, stops working. This is a new MacBook Pro with 10.7.1
Any ideas welcome. Meanwhile, Im getting used to the four finger squeeze to bring up the Launcher.

Enable 'Go to' link on confirmation screen

Hi all,
I am trying to do the configuration for 'go to Address overview' and W4 Overview link in the confirmation screen.
I can see the link in portal but on click its not doing anything.
In the home page framework,define links in confirmation screen I have check marks on 'show restart link' - Go to Addtress Overview and 'service key restart'- W4 Overview.
What other configurations do I need to have for these two links to be functioning?

Hi,
The blog is about a development, so in order to add a link to Address Overview just follow point 1; 'Define links on the confirmation page'.
In that IMG activity, under Confirmation Screen Links title, you have four pre-defined links (included the Restart Link to go to Address Overview).
If that not cover your requirements, you can also put a custom service under Service Links title.

Display Links on welcome screen of SC as per the role in PFCG

We have created a Z ITS service from a Z transcation and want to give the link of this ITS service on welcome screen of EBP only to some specific users.
We created a Z role in PFCG and attached the link of this ITS service using the option 'Generic Web Address (URL Template)' from the popup that we get on clicking Other button in PFCG .
How to check the role to display this link on the welcome screen?
We can not hardcode the link in ITS template because then it will be displayed for all users.
We can not use the Z transcation directly instead of calling the corresponding ITS service because then it also shows menu options on screen using which the user can access SAP EASY ACCESS menu from screen.
In PFCG it display under the Go Shopping folder:
BW_GENERIC_TYPE-Report
So how to check the role in ITS template and show the link only to specific users?

Sorry for the confusing description.Let me explain in detail.
We have a Z report which should be accessible from a link on welcome screen of EBP.
For this we created a Z transcation of this Z report and selected Easy Web Transcation radio button and SAP GUI for HTML checkbox while creating this transcation.
Added this Z transcation in a role in PFCG .But the problem here is , when the link on screen is clicked and transcation is opened in IE it shows Menu , Save as variant , Back , Cancel and System options in header, using these user can access all transcations as if he is loged in to SAP from SAP GUI.
To avoid this we created an ITS service using this Z transcation and created corresponding service node in SICF .
So we either have to remove the menu options from header when this Z transcation is displayed in WEB GUI ie. when we attach this Z transcation in PFCG OR instead of calling the Z transcation , this ITS service should be called so how to attach this ITS service to PFCG ?
Further if it is a transcation we can check in the ITS Service BBPSTART Template BBPGLOBAL_650_EMP as follows...

How to restore the link between on screen library item and audio file?

Do you have a BORKEN LINKS problem?
I'd like to share a useful discovery.
I have read a number of posts both here and other forums concerning 'broken links' problem after moving iTunes music folder to an external drive.
ie. In the iTunes window you see a long list of playlists on the left (blue tinted) column and song names and details in the other columns but when you try to play a song a message tells you the link is broken and ! appears to the left of song name.
Broken links can easily be restored if you use SMART PLAYLISTS.
Note: I'm not sure about manually created playlists, so take care.
How to repair the broken links:
Step one:
Make a back up copy of 2 important files,
the current iTunes library and iTunes Music Library.xml files
place copies somewhere away from the iTunes folder.
Preparation:
first go to iTunes Preferences and in the advanced settings page, uncheck the two boxes, Keep iTunes Music folder organsied : and Copy files to files to iTunes Music Folder when adding to library.
Method A. only some links broken.
Within iTunes highlight each of your playlists in turn**, highlight all the songs listed and hit the delete key on the keypad. Don't worry all the category info will not be lost, keep the playlist window open so you can monitor the link repair progress.
In the FILE menu, click on 'add to library', and select the artist folder containing the songs you just deleted. Click on the choose button, and soon all the songs will appear once more in the song list window complete with all associated info that you have previously added like genre, comments, grouping.
Method B. all links broken.
If your entire song list has broken links like mine did (ie when you try to play the song a ! appears to the left of song name, restoring the entire list is easy, having made the settings mentioned above, click on 'add to library' then select the iTunes Music folder itself, in a short time all the songs will appear on screen as before you deleted them with links restored.
NOTE
**For this reason it is a good idea to create a smart playlist corresponding to every Artist folder that appears in Finder, this greatly facilitates any future repairs of broken links in batches. In fact there is an advantage in making all the playlists of the 'Smart' type and taking the time to fill in fields like Genre, Comments, and Grouping as this information allows the application to place every song into at least one category which can be named when setting up the smart playlist.

How to link web dynpro screen and R/3 ,so that I can build a workflow.

Hi all,
I have to build a workflow for Personnel Administration(PA) in HR module. The document is not standard, so I have to build my own Bussiness object. But the senerio, screeens for particular document are designed in web-dynpro which will be there in separate portal and we suppose to link this in R/3 system. Whenever user fills that particular document (a form or a document in a portal) and clicks on submit button which is provided in the document workflow should get trigger. Also this screen should be used as workitem to a persons SAP inbox as well as in the portal inbox.
Please help me for what should be my starting point in designing workflows.
It would be helpful if anyone provides me with detailed describe step for each and everything along with few links and examples. As i m new to sap

How to add link in full screen email Lion?

Hi all
I've been using the full-screen versions of most apps since istalling Lion. Not perfect but I like being able to swipe between screens. However the email function in full screen doesn't allow you to add a link to your message. When you hit compose new message the toolbar functions don't drop down. Am I missing something here?

Ps - I also have had the Wifi problem which was resolved by setting up network again. Time Machine does seem to take longer to backup with Lion. Finally, also have problems with email where it can't send emails sometimes. None of these dealbreakers for me but hopefully new release version will deal with them!

You should have a limited toolbar, but the add link button isn't part of it.
You can add a link using the Edit menu (or cmd-k), or select text and right-click (Link>Add Link…)

Need help with hiding divs for different screen sizes with fluid layouts.

Ok, so i've got a single page giving info that my website is coming soon and i've designed it for pc, tablet and mobile as i should. I have hidden the divs i don't want from each view and when testing it, all works fine and as it should be but when it is on the server and live, it shows all the divs that are meant to be hidden on one screen????? Is there something else i should be doing and can anyone help me here or is this a question for my host???

Hiding playbar on quiz screens and it stays hidden if you go back

Hello,
I am hiding the playbar on my question screens to prevent users from skipping questions. They must answer correctly to continue with the course. The problem is I want to give them a back button on the questions. If you click the back button it goes to the previous slide but the playbar is still hidden.
I tried going to the slides before the question screen and setting an Action:
On Enter Assign cpCmndShowPlaybar with 1.
This did not work
I tried creating my own Back button and having it Jump to the previous slide. This did not work either. However, if I jump to any screen other that the one previous to the question, the PlayBar is visible. So thats interesting... Essentially I can jump to any screen except the one I need and it will work.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to Adobe Forums.
I have checked the same on my end which you are trying and as per my knowledge it is not possible to get the playbar back on the question slides even after using the button with cpCmndShowPlaybar value 1 because the button cannot overwrite the action defined for the quiz slides or button cannot overwrite the on enter action of the slide.

Dangling links and darkened screens

Has anyone else experienced these two phenomena on FCPX 10.0.2? I"m using a Macbook Pro, 8GB Ram; I have a 2nd monitor attached (ViewSonic). When I change from, say, viewer on 2nd screen back to standard, one-window view, I get darkened image and the only way to remove it is to quit the app. And then I found a dangling link, no clip linked to it, just the link bar...what's up, doc?
See how dark the event browser and event list are? This is after asking the app to return windows to standard orientation on the one screen.
Here's the dangling dingle...no dongle, just dingle...

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Select the screen Exit and Just Press Activate Button
On double clicking on that will take u to a sreen give the descirption and save.
Goto SE80 and Give the FG :XM02 and then write your code in the SCreen and Includes Provided there.

Custom transaction link in EP screen for buyer

We are on SRM 5.0 Sp12.
Our users use EP as the fornt end.Now we have a custom transction for a custom report created in SRM and would have the link to it in EP screens for PUCRAHSER role.Can snybody suggest if this is possible?If so,how??
I knw its possible to put the custom link if we log in thorugh the BBPSTART url in IE.But i need to know what are the options if we need to have this link in EP?
