Hiding Project, Warehouse and G/L accounts from user

Hi all,
How do you hide or restrict access to a specific Project, Warehouse and G/L Accounts for a user?
the scenario is like this. there are various users working at different locations / branches / project sites. one user's g/l accounts (ex Petty cash a/c of a branch), Project name or details and warehouse details cannot be visible to other user working at other branch / project site / location. how do we go for a work around with this?

Hi,
There is a very bad workaround for this, it is to create a user defined authorisation for the form settings.
The user will not be able to make changes to the form, if the fields are hidden they cannot make them visible. Please note that this applies to all forms if implemented.

To fix, first remove your secondary e-mail address that was @mac.com via appleid.apple.com. This should get rid of that email address (but not the ID).
Then delete your iCloud account from your iPhone and reactivate it using @me.com as your Apple ID.
The Apple ID will remain as @mac.com but when you access iCloud Account Information, the Advanced part says "Mail : @me.com".

You will have to ask your friend to remove the device from her iCloud account.

Hiding standard search and standard checkin form from UCM content UI

We want to hide standard checkin and standard search from content ui .
Is this possible ? How do we achieve this?
From the admin UI we can do this by enabling the component HideStandardCheckinAndSearch component.
But how do we do it from Content UI?

It depends on what you're trying to achieve. If your users do not want to see standard check-in option in the displayed user interface then you'll have to customize the ADF UI to do so. Implement some sort of ruling feature to display menus. Link suggested by Jiri is good starting point and standard way to customize ADF UI as per documentation.
Regarding implementing filter or any customization on server-side can be viewed as 2 different parts
1. implement profile rule and hide menus - this works for native UI and not content UI. Since content UI is a different EAR deployed on weblogic and page generation is not controlled by CS or any of its configuration parameter.
2. implement filter or other custom option - this kind of feature will help you to prohibit feature execution; but, user will still be accessible to access the search option. This implementation will be not user-friendly. Once users enter some value we display message that feature is not supported. So this option should be your last resort.

in Solaris 10 i need auditing process create, delete, privilege escalation, set and change password and etc... from users account and group.
I set settings:

Now I see in the logs only the fact of a connection via SSH and run processes on behalf of users. Creation. delete users, change passwords for some reason do not is logged.
Many users. For each individual write permissions in the file /etc/security/audit_user not possible, it is likely to forget any new user (or there is a possibility in this file one line to describe the audits for all accounts?)

You are most likely hitting Bug 15779000 user/role/groupadd/mod/del don't audit their use.
And the fix is only available in S11.2.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Go to Setup - Email Settings (or your carrier's BIS website) and delete the account from there.

Change service accounts from Domain Admin to local Admin SQL Cluster

Hi
We have some SQL Clusters in our enviroment, the previous administrator made user accounts for the sql cluster services, but he put these accounts in the Domain admins group, the security staff ask me to remove them from this group, but I don't know if this
would raise issues for the SQL cluster.
I thought would be better to put this accounts in the local Administrators group in every server's cluster and remove these accounts from the Domain Admins group, but we can not restart the server....
Is this possible? or is it neccesary to do another extra procedure?

Hello,
It is always recommended to run Cluster service with domain account having lest privileges.Running with local account can have issues like when SQL server restarts the account looses logon rights due to AD policy (have seen this issue many times) now suppose
by any cause SQL server stops at midnight it wont start as local account will loose privileges.So get a domain service account created below link will surely be helpful

GW7 and Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite User issue.

I have on user when she logs in to Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite we do not see any of her emails, contacts, etc. Her account was moved and hung in a move. Since then I have deleted and restored the account from archive. I have deleted the user from Intellisync Manager. Ran DSRepair on GW and NDS server. Synconized her account in Intellisync Manager. Ran Anolize and Fix on her account. I have searched the tree for any other account with the same name and only have one now. I see emails logged in as GroupWise and through Webaccess. All other accounts seem to be working on the mobile suite. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The only thing that helped when I was having the problem was to login into the MMC and right click on the user and go down to Use Website As User. This will open the web interface for the user, but will have another feature on the bottom under Account Settings. You will see a button called RESET ACCOUNT. Click this it should fix the problem.

Login Error from Users machine into BO Desktop Applications With LDAP user

I am getting a strange error and got stucked.I have searched in the forums and tried every possible thing but the problem remains same.
I am not able to login into any Client application using LDAP account.
The setup is:
Machine 1: Webserver
Machine 2: CMS and other servers
Machine 3: Clustered CMS server
LDAP is implemented and SSL is enabled between Machine 2 and LDAP server.
Now when i am into Machine2 and try to login into Client application using LDAP it works for me also for Web Application(CMC, Infoview)
When i am into user machine I am able to login into Client Application (Designer, Desktop Intelligence etc) using enterprise account, but not with LDAP account. However i am able to login to web Application using LDAP account from users machine.
All the ports are open and can connect to CMS machine and database repository connectivity is also OK.
One interesting thing i would like to share that if i am login into Infoview using LDAP account and If i go for editing a report it opens Desktop Intelligence for me (LDAP user) and there is a entry in System name when i login into Deski.That entry in system name is CMS Machine name,Port number, full domain, (J2EE Portal) written in last.
Using this entry in System I can Login using LDAP account but first should do the process (Login to Infoview, Edit The Report) for every user machine.
Please help me out where i am getting wrong.
The error with Client application and LDAP user is USR0013. Can not Access the repository.

My guess would be that client apps don't have access to the SSL directory defined in the LDAP config but the web/app does. When you edit a report it launches deski in 3-tier mode still using the web/app so this isn't surprising behavior. There are SAP notes on this in SMP key words LDAP SSL deski should return the result. The link to SMP is in the forum sticky at the top of the administration forum.

Remove Throttle policy from users

We have deployed Blackberry and i want to remove BESPolicy Throttling policy from all users. We have Exchange 2010 Sp1.
But that Script available on the Technet is not working on exchange 2010 Sp1.
Is there any alternative Cmdlet to find bespolicy users and remove the Bespolicy from users ?

BESPolicy should only be applied to the besadmin accont and all other users should have the default/customized policy.
If you have BES policy applied for all users, just get all mailbox in bulk and set a new/default policy

1. logon as an admin and navigate to Portal Content > Portal Users > Standard Portal Users and open Every User Core Role
2. right click on User Profile and select edit
3. click on the Preview button then right click + CTRL on the iView and personalize the User Profile iView
That's it.

Thank you for your response.
My sample is whenever an entry is raised to be posted to a balance sheet account such account should not allow user to post but only in revenue and expense account. E.g. A Stock account should not allow project assignment but a cost of sales, expenses or sales revenue accounts should only accept project assignment.
Only P&L items should allow project assignments.
I hope this is clear is enough.
